Es ist in einem schönen alten Gebäude, sehr gut erhalten und renoviert, und in einer tollen Lage: in der alten Stadt Xidi, aber ein wenig isoliert, in der ruhigeren und weniger touristischen Gegend. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, komfortabel und sehr stilvoll, es hatte sogar ein kleines beigefügtes Studiozimmer mit Desk und interessante Bücher mit einem guten Kettle und Teesatz zur Verfügung. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel, das Badezimmer hatte eine sehr schöne Badezimmer und wärmete Toilette. Unser Gastgeber war super schön und hilfreich, er kam uns aufholen und ließ uns am Busbahnhof am Ende unseres Aufenthalts. Er ist wirklich freundlich und gab uns einige nette Tipps beim Besuch der umliegenden Dörfer. Er hat einen sehr schönen Hund und eine cuddly Katze :)
Nur negative Kommentare: Das Fenster des Zimmers ist auf der Seite der Hauptstraße, so können Sie alle Autos durchfahren hören. Aber auch dann, ein toller Aufenthalt!

GGastnutzerMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

WWoman from Spain travelling aloneIt is always a risk to travel by yourself , as a woman, and as a foreigner. Also, booking hotels online might be an adventure. Many places show photos that are not real, and when you arrive at the place, things are not what you expected. This place was the other way around: the reality was better than the photos. The place was spotless, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff was extremely professional and kind. From the landlady to Xiao Wan , the housekeeper , who is a force of nature, is intelligent, strong, and capable of solving any problem you might have. As a woman travelling alone, I always felt safe in the hotel, and my things were always safe. No danger here!. The rooms and the hotel combine the best of China, tradition and modernity. Beds are comfortable with traditional and soft pillows. Beautiful high-quality bedding. Great and comfortable sleep! Technology everywhere and modern amenities. The hotel is placed in the best place in hongcun. Close to everything but calm and quiet. Best views of the river!! I will recommend this with all my heart to all the travellers, whether Chinese or foreigners. If you go to Hong cun,this is the best place to be! I will be back with my friends and family for sure! If you are looking for a place to stay in yi County look no further. This is the best place to stay in Hong Cun and in the whole county!

AAnonymer BenutzerDer Baum ist sehr nahe vom Dorf, es ist sehr bequem, von West 2 Gate zu kommen und zu entfernen. Der Chef ist sehr intim. Telefon vorzeitig kontaktiert. Zum Parkplatz helfen, Gepäck zu holen, sonst ist es sehr unkomfort, um in der Landschaft zu gehen. Das kleine Hof ist sehr gut, das Zimmer ist alt und gut und sehr sauber.

Der Hotelmanager war sehr kommuniziert, aber Sie müssen WeChat haben. Sie können mit Ihnen per Nachricht in Englisch kommunizieren.
Die Zimmer waren erstaunlich, der Service war ausgezeichnet und die Gemeindebereiche waren schön und komfortabel.
Das Hotel Frühstück wurde frisch gemacht und konnten unsere Anfragen befriedigen.
Einige der Zimmer erfordern steigende Treppen, so dass wenn Sie Zugang benötigen, es wäre besser, das Hotel im Voraus zu informieren. Schlafzimmer sind komfortabel und gemütlich. Die Zugabe der Tee-Zeremonie-Bereich ist brillant. Die Matratzen und Betten waren sauber und komfortabel. Badezimmer waren sauber mit guter Druck heißes Wasser.
Das Hotel hat uns auch mit einem ehrlichen und zuverlässigen Fahrer in Kontakt gebracht, den wir für Transfers vom Schießbahnhof sowie für eine Reise nach Huang Shan (gelben Berg) verwendet haben.

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

GGastnutzerDas Hotel ist ein neues. Nach Ankunft serviert das Hotel-Rezeption-Personal mit einem warmen Lächeln und schenkt uns großzügig kostenfreies Frühstück für 2 Morgen. Hotelrenovierung sieht gut aus und die Zimmerausstattung ist alle modern und hochtechnisch. Ich war besonders beeindruckt von seinem WCPan, der eine Autowaschservice für den Schrank hat. Die Bettwäsche und der Boden sind sauber gut. Die Umgebung in der Nähe ist schöne Dorfszene, wo wir genießen einen Lässigkeitswandel dort. Insgesamt ist es ein sehr gutes Hotel, das Sie entspannen kann, auch wenn Sie nur im Hotel bleiben. Hat noch eins, das ist das Restaurant neben dem Hotel, wo man löst leckere chinesische Mahlzeiten genießen kann. Das Personal gibt es auch sehr nett. Essen ist wie zu Hause zu essen. Ich bin sicher, dass ich wieder in Wien bleiben werde, wenn ich nächstes Mal nach Huangshan gehe.

GGastnutzerAls ich nach Hongcun fuhr, wählte ich das nächstgelegene Banyan Tree. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Obwohl es draußen regnete, waren die Berge und Wälder in Wolken und Nebel gehüllt, und der Nieselregen ließ die Menschen angesichts der Schönheit der Natur wirklich seufzen. Das Zimmer ist eine zweistöckige Maisonette-Wohnung. Die gesamte Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Wegen des starken Regens bin ich nicht ausgegangen. Das Taxi kam auch pünktlich. Das Abendessen gab es im chinesischen Restaurant des Hotels. Es schmeckte gut, keine Vor- oder Nachteile. Wenn Sie nicht nach Hongcun kommen, ist die Lage des Hotels dennoch etwas abseits und das Frühstück ist etwas schlechter.

GGastnutzerThe Inn is located inside the Scenic area, the room is clean but relatively small especially the bathroom. The soundproofing is poor as you can hear clearly what’s happening at the next room. The common area at the ground floor is a bit messy. Quite dark at night.
The only plus point is the Inn is located inside the Scenic area.
Actually the Inn’s location is a bit difficult for a traveler to find, if the owner hadn’t come out to fetch me, I wouldn’t have been able to find the Inn at all. Besides that, the pathway at the Scenic area is made of stone, full of potholes and quite dirty, thus it’d be a nightmare to pull a luggage all the way from the bus station to the Inn.
The Scenic area has become too commercial and super crowded, it is impossible to have a nice and quiet stroll to enjoy the scenery. The only time you can have a quiet walk is before 6am morning. I myself will definitely not coming back.
