Die Lage war gut, das Hotel war sehr grundlegende, aber für den Preis war ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück war wirklich gut. Im Allgemeinen wirklich gut für Geld.

Die Lage ist gut für die Südwestküste. Zimmer komfortabel, aber die Qualität des Services, Essen und Trinken war hervorragend. Insbesondere Frühstücksmenü und Abendessen hatten eine breite Palette von lokalen Lebensmitteln, die über unsere Erwartungen hinaus gekocht und zubereitet wurden. Wein und Bier waren ebenso beeindruckend. Wir haben ein bisschen in Norddevon reisen und das ist ein Gestein eines Ortes.
Es war perfekt für das, was wir für die Nacht brauchten, und die Damen am Empfangstisch waren absolut wunderschön! Sehr günstig und glücklich, ziemlich nahe Exeter Stadtzentrum, aber es ist nicht in Gehstrecke. Aber das Zimmer war sehr kalt und die Heizung schien überhaupt nicht zu schlagen, auch wenn der Radiator gerade aufgeschaltet, ich schüttete! Ich hätte für zusätzliche Schleifen gebeten.
This hotel is very clean and all the woman receptionist very polite and helpful. Very happy with the service from them. The 2 man night staff were not helpful. I didn’t understand why I can’t order drink for our room and pay end of the stay. We even received letter in the morning that was outside the room not in envelope which everyone can read I didn’t like at all , reason been dater protection with don’t forget to pay for our order which we did straight away and had my full name on it.We stayed for 3 night so what was such a problem for those 2 night shift man. Otherwise all our stay was perfect. Thank u

We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service.
Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing.
The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay.
I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped.
Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet.
However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'.
We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.
Ausgezeichneter Service vom wunderschönen Gentleman an der Rezeption. Er war willkommen und informativ. Zimmer war sauber mit allem, was wir brauchten und gut serviert. Wir hatten einen Cocktail in der Bar, bevor wir zum Bett gingen und es war perfekt!
Wäre sicher wieder aufhalten 😄

GGastnutzerI always try and book a pre Xmas stay somewhere, with my children . I came across Woodford Bridge on a booking site , and it seemed to offer great value for money so I thought why not. There are some positives and negatives which I ll list below.
Arrived on a dark and gloomy Tues evening, the roads are not particularly great , potholes galore in the area. In the dark its quite scary roads too, in the middle of nowhere !!
Check in was straightforward, nice friendly staff , however I found they have a tendency to talk amongst themselves and leave you waiting for too long before saying ” can I help you ”?
Apartment was very clean , modern and warm. Incredibly happy with the size of it. Easy location to the games room for my boys, which they enjoyed very much, the pool table and table tennis. However the lighting is not great around the steps , and also the warning paint on edges of steps have worn off , so I had to be very careful walking back to apt in the dark.
Used swimming facilities , nice , clean , quiet . The other facilities looked good .
Went to the pub on site one night. Lovely little place , although totally devoid of atmosphere, hopefully better at weekend when live music on. They definitely need something. Prices of wine extortionate 175ml for 7.25 .
I had to contact reception as the seal around the oven was coming off, did this in the morning before we went to atlantic village. On our return it was still hanging off, so had to contact reception again. Although I really liked the apt , there are a couple of improvements needed I feel. Firstly I could not find a chopping board or fish slice in the kitchen. As a single female with 2 children I also did nt feel safe as the apts can be accessed by anyone , there needs to be a key card reader on the entrance to the block , not just the apt door.
Overall , it was a nice enough stay but I Don t think we d return. Probably much nicer in the Summer , and more going on in the area

We have been to the cliffden hotel three times and had a club room on the first floor they were nice large rooms but this time we were on the second floor our room was very small and claustrophobic nothing like the photos in the booking . We asked for a different room and the man at reception said see me tomorrow morning and if there's a larger room you can have it. Later on in the day my partner went to reception to book a table for an evening meal for us. While she was booking the table the lady at the reception said there were no other rooms you can have. The barman was very polite nice to chat to. We only had one meal in the evening cod and chips could not find much cod it was all batter. Other meal gammon and chips gammon would be good to repair your soles on your shoes. Go to the local chip shop absolutely beautiful. We used the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the beer is very expensive. Go to the jolly sailor pub with drinks at good prices. Reception is not very helpful. I can't understand why the hotel puts people with dogs on the second floor because when the dog wants to go to the toilet by the time you get down to the entrance the dog has already peed on the carpets. Luckily our dog can hold her pee and she is small enough to carry.I have followed other people with their dogs and seen it. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay this time.
GGastnutzerThe hotel itself was nice; can’t fault it. Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation.
Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before.
Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.

GGastnutzerLovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk.
The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep
To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps.
Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option.
All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

One thing to note: the hotel is located on a pedestrian-only high street, meaning cars cannot access the front entrance. The nearest taxi stand is at least a 10-minute walk away, which may not be ideal for guests with large luggage. However, Uber can drop you off near the shops, about a 6-minute walk from the hotel.
