Sporthotel is an absolutely fabulous hotel, and I enjoyed every minute I was lucky enough to stay here! The hotel has a sport & healthy living-theme and is perfect for young, sporty and adventurous people who want to explore a lesser known but spectacular and truly authentic part of Portugal. I have travelled all over the world, but Sporthotel offered a truly unforgettable experience. I absolutely love the minimal, modern and elegant design of the rooms and the bed is super comfortable, with crisp bedlinen and small pillows that are just perfect. The rooms are super clean, very well organised, with excellent maintenance, a great shower and lovely big towels. The cleaning ladies are simply wonderful, super sweet and are really doing an amazing job. My room on the fifth floor had a lovely little balcony and a truly spectacular view over the mountains. If you are looking for a place where you can watch the sun rise over the mountains, Sporthotel is the place to be! The breakfast is out of this world and super healthy with yummy scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad every morning made fresh from local products, traditional local breads, Greek yoghurt, linseeds, every day different (!) home made cakes - and also some traditional Portuguese super yummy sweets like Pastel de Nata. The breakfast team is really amazing and will do anything to spoil you and make sure you have a great start of the day! The breakfast room has floor to ceiling windows with a spectacular view and also an outdoor area if you feel like soaking up some sun. The hotel has a gym that is probably one of the best hotel gyms that I have ever seen, because it is also a local gym. It has all equipment that you need (I only missed the 6 kilo dumbbell), and a weightlifting room with great windows and a view. There are personal trainers who are extremely capable and will push you to become the best version of yourself! What is really wonderful that classes are included in your stay, so you can go to Yoga, Pilates or Zumba classes that are excellent and also a lot of fun. Additionally, the gym has a great sauna and a modern Turkish Steamroom and super motivating and helpful personal trainers. Everybody at the reception is super helpful and will do all to give you a great stay and helpful tips to explore the surroundings. Additionally, the lobby is a great place to relax and there is a little supermarket. Covilha is wonderful, it has an university and theatres and is still super close to the mountains for outdoor activities like hiking and (sometimes) skiing. I actually liked my stay in Sporthotel so much, that I decided to stay for four years and absolutely LOVED my stay. Highly recommended!

The pools were nice and the architecture is spectacular. However, don't expect to eat there because the food is terrible, the service deplorable, and the ambiance is fine if you like eating in a noisy daycare centre. Management seems non-existent. Check your bill carefully, because items were added that were offered to apologise for the bad food when we complained. We didn't expect these items to be charged to our bill!

Conceito do hotel bem conseguido, c/ instalações a condizer e confortáveis. Equipa (receção, área de refeições, bistro/bar, passando pelo SPA-Natura, sem esquecer todo o pessoal que organiza os quartos), simpática, c/ disponibilidade permanente. Dieta de uma de nós (Vegan) com a confeção de pratos muito agradáveis. Ganharam um fã! Quartos e SPA muito agradáveis. Aconselho quarto de trás (+ sossegados). Para um fim de semana alargado para visitar a Serra da Estrela é optimo.Parabéns!

Hotel Sinai Belmonte Nice Hotel in der historischen Innenstadt dieser kleinen Stadt. Viel kostenfreies Straßenparkplatz. Das Hotel ist ziemlich modern mit einem geräumigen Lobby und Lounge. Das Restaurant auf der Website verdoppelt sich als das Frühstückszimmer. Frühstück war ein schönes Buffet von Brot, Gemüse, Käse, Fleisch, Obst und Getreide. Unser Zimmer sah den Tal unter der Stadt aus. Es war angemessen mit viel Stromanschluss, aber keine benannten USB-Porten. Auf beiden Seiten des Betts sind flexible Leselichter. Das Kleid war geräumig. Das Badezimmer war geräumig und umfasste eine große Dusche(keine Dusche) mit dem stärksten Wasserdruck, den wir je in Portugal erlebt haben. Sie bieten eine Kombination von Shampoo/Dusche Gelpumpe in der Dusche. Aber wie überall übrigens haben wir bisher noch keinen Haarkonditionierer oder Waschbecken geliefert. Kein Kühlschrank. Ein wenig Balkon aus dem Schlafzimmer war ein schöner Touch. Neben einem kleinen vernichteten Schloss und einigen Kirchen gibt es nicht viel zu sehen hier und die Stadt ist zu klein, um viel in der Art von Einkaufen zu haben, obwohl die kleinen krokodilischen Straßen charmant sind. Suchen Sie, dass dies kein Ziel, sondern eine kurze Ablenkung oder einfach ein Ort, um sich für die Nacht zu verlegen, bevor Sie Ihre Reisen fortsetzen.

Das Personal ist groß, die neue SPA-Zone ist auch wirklich gut, aber es ist immer noch ein Hotel und auf diesem ist es absolut nicht gut ...Die Zimmer sind alt, sehr benutzt und überhaupt nicht sauber, es gibt tatsächlich ein großes Reinigungsproblem auf diesem Hotel. Lassen Sie sich nicht mit den schönen Fotos gehen, die Sie sehen, während die Zimmer nicht gereift und die Sauberkeit nicht verbessert wird dieses Hotel ist nicht einmal die Hälfte des Preises, den sie zahlen. Es ist so schande, dass Sie derzeit in Portugal Hotels 5*+ Geld zahlen, aber 2* Service/Unterkünfte ... Die Zimmer sind schrecklich ...nicht sauber überhaupt, sehr verwendet, seltsamer Geruch, Das ist ein seltsames Bad. Es scheint, dass viel Geld auf die falschen Dinge verbrachte und es ist wirklich traurig, das auf was ein tolles Hotel sein könnte. Aber die Sauberkeit ist ein großes Problem, die Zimmer riechen schlecht (aufgrund fehlender Sauberkeit), es gibt riesige Mengen an Staub überall, Schüssel auf dem Boden, Bad nicht mit Anzeichen der Verwendung durch frühere Kunden ...a Katastrophe ... Das Personal geht davon aus alle Fehler und sie haben uns sogar in ein neues Zimmer verlegt, aber auch das neue Zimmer war nicht groß (zumindest für den Preis, den sie zahlen) und wir haben immer noch die Fist Nacht auf einem nicht angemessen in allen Zimmern ...

The best thing about this hotel: its location in the Serra da Estrela. It is relatively close to the Torre where the only ski resort in Portugal is located; and to Lagoa Comprida from where it is a 2.5 hour walk (each way) to covão dos conchos (the famous hole in the Serra da Estrela). Second best: the breakfast: fresh orange juice, and plenty of choices. Reservations must be made for breakfast and dinner. There is a restaurant in the hotel called Restaurante Medieval. €25 per person for a generous buffet. The parking lot is ample. The internet is ast. They rent ATVs for tours of the Serra. The downside: We asked for a room for three people. We were assigned a suite with a double bed, but the other bed was temporary, the mattress was very uncomfortable and very small. So, if you go more than two people, we recommend you to book two rooms.

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort zu bleiben, Ich hatte hier vor mit Freunden auf einer Moto Tour geblieben, so wusste ich, was zu erwarten, meine Erwartungen wurden überschritten, es ist wirklich wunderbarer Ort zu bleiben. Auf dieser Reise war ich mit meiner Frau, hatte ich vor der Ankunft Convento Da Serta gesprochen und wir beide vereinbarten die von 9 guten Hotels auf unserer Spanisch & Portugal Tour, dies war das Beste von weitem. * Schlüssel wie eine Stadt hat Charakter, Charme und ist sehr angenehm zu Fuß. * Convento Da Serta, ist in einer erstklassigen Position, oberhalb der alten Stadt erhoben * Es gibt gute Bars und Restaurants in einer einfachen Spazierweiterung * Das Hotel selbst ist ein charmantes und sehr gut anpassungsfähiges Stein gebaut Convento, es gibt einen kleinen Pool, Einfacher Parkplatz, die Zimmer sind ausgezeichnet mit guter Aussicht auf die Stadt einige haben kleine private Balkone alle haben Air Con. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und sowohl gern zu begeistern und gerne zu helfen, Ihnen das Beste aus Ihrem Aufenthalt im Hotel und Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. * Die Restaurant-Empfehlungen waren auf der Stelle, die wir ausgewählt, die empfohlen wurde es war schön (siehe separate Bewertung, für Ponte Romano)

The Pousada Serra da Estrela is a fairy-tale hotel in the middle of the mountains with magnificient views towards Covilha. We had a splendid stay in this magnificient hotel. The rooms are wide and comfortable, the people at the reception desk are very helpful (special mention for Xavier Pérez), and the people at the bar are also kind and ready to help. Breakfasts are superb. Nothing wrong about this magnificient place.

Had to stop in the mountains during our Portuguese road trip and couldn’t find a more ideal and apropos location. Serra da Estrela is the highest mountain range in Continental Portugal and this delightful cabin sits atop of the mountain overlooking the quaint city of Covilha. The views are sweeping and stunning, right from the armchair in your living room. This place sleeps 8 or more, but we enjoyed it as a romantic retreat for just the two of us. It’s kitted out beautifully with a pellet burning stove as the heat source, much sought after laundry facilities and all the comforts one could ask for, with stylish panache. The location is fantastic, with great restaurants and bars within steps of your front door. We hadn’t heard of Portuguese ski country until we planned this epic trip and would encourage anyone to add it to their list of stopovers whist in this fine country. It was especially fun to visit in January to see how Portugal’s local population enjoys winter within their own borders. It was a great location to visit the historical Piódão as a daytrip and the driving the area offers countless gob-smacking vistas, as well. It’s a wonderful chance to see another side of this fine country and sample the local sheep’s cheese, rustic food specialties and cozy attire that’s exclusive to this unique area. The beds were cozy and comfortable, and the views from every aspect of the cabin, unparalleled. Both bathrooms and the kitchen were immaculate, offered all amenities, and were tastefully presented. In fact, there were many aspects we didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy, like the stone BBQ in the backyard, or the sprawling lounge areas – but we could imagine many large groups enjoying all it had to offer. The only area for improvement would be the arms-length connection with the host. For example, we were directed to pick up our key at reception at the unaffiliated hotel across the street. They claimed no knowledge leaving us with only the sporadic Airbnb chat mechanism to connect with the owner. As my husband and I experienced severe heart palpitations, we re-grouped to weigh our options, having no place to stay in the area, despite having paid upfront. Only then did the woman call us back giggling that she had the key after all, having misplaced it. Glad it worked out but - yikes! We tried to make reservations at the local restaurants in advance, but that proved impossible, so we asked the host to book on our behalf. He informed us that no reservations were required. That simply wasn’t true, leaving us scrambling for our meals in this tiny location. We had Portuguese only instructions for the pellet stove, but muddled through and managed to get our one heating source operating in -5 degrees, never-the-less. All of this worked out in the end, but made it a bit harder to relax, which was the point of our stay. All in all, we really were delighted our stay, despite some noteworthy hiccups. What a great hotel formerly a monk’s monastery. Incredible grounds and mountains surrounding the facility. Very friendly staff. Unique way to stay. Rooms identified by monk’s names. You walk through halls and floors of stone getting to your room. We had incredible views and could see for miles outside our back patio. Comfortable room and bathroom. Very nice.
