I stayed at Azulik Tulum in one of the smallest rooms, and I have mixed feelings — both admiration and realism. First, let’s be honest: Azulik is visually stunning. Architecturally, it’s a dream — truly built for aesthetics and Instagram. The design is beautiful, organic. From a visual and conceptual point of view, it’s easily 100/100. However, when it comes to comfort and practicality, it’s a very different story. Azulik is a pure jungle experience. That can be magical, but it also means: Very limited privacy A toilet behind a divider No hot water at night Minimal comfort overall I understand this is intentional and part of the concept, but when rooms can cost up to $2,000 per night, you naturally expect a balance between artistic experience and luxury comfort — especially at that price point.  The room itself was cute, but definitely not designed for longer stays. This is not a place you want to stay more than 1–2 nights max. After that, the lack of comfort becomes noticeable. Service was not good. I understand this is Mexico and things move differently, but for a hotel with such an international reputation, staff speaking English should be standard, especially since most guests are travelers from the other countries. The beach service closes early (around 4–5 PM), so the experience feels very limited. A few small but important details: The matches in the room were extremely horrible to light, which becomes frustrating when candles are the main source of light, and I love candles idea but if you are reader this hotel not for you! Cleaning could be better.  Hot water should really be available 24/7 at this level. Overall, Azulik is an artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual concept, not a comfort-driven luxury hotel. If you come knowing that — and stay one or two nights only — it can be a beautiful experience. I think its important to remind guest on checking in what are they signing for, coz people don't like to read descriptions and coming for views then being disappointed. Come for the vibe, architecture, and photos. Don’t come expecting classic luxury or comfort. Beautiful idea, powerful concept — but it could truly shine even more with better service, basic comfort, and attention to detail. And I`m not asking a lot here.

The strength of this hotel is the great built-in spa within the hotel property! Stay here if you want to enjoy a beautiful spa experience only steps away from your hotel room. Don’t stay here is you expect to be close to downtown. It’s at least a twenty minute walk to downtown, including if you just need a quick drink from a convenience store, and having to take a taxi each time quickly adds up! Don’t even think about walking to and from the hotel after sunset as the mosquitoes will eat you very quickly (you won’t even make it half way). Hence, I sort of wished I picked any hotel closer to downtown as I believe their premium is worth it just on this fact alone. Don’t stay here if you want variety with the included breakfast. The complimentary breakfast will have you searching for the rooftop entrance across the street, climb the stairs to be presented three preset breakfast options; omelette or scrambled eggs with either cheese or ham or pancakes. Granted, a bit of fruits and yogurt is included along with the eggs, but it’s pretty basic. Though I’m not complaining when you get to have freshly prepared breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the Holbox white beach! Just don’t expect much nor to have a variety of options. But it will get the job done! Breakfast was 8:30-10:30am and we hung around past that to enjoy coffee on the rooftop WIFI. Don’t stay here if you are expecting a good pool experience. The two small pools on the property aren’t running all the time so it doesn’t look appealing to get into. Don’t stay here if you are expecting a view from your hotel room. You won’t see any bit of the ocean - just the hotels in front and behind this hotel. We upgraded from the Double Room to the King suite and really glad we did because we got a nice balcony and comfortable bed with plenty of different pillow options. We also looked into upgrading to the King suite with bathtub option but glad we didn’t opt for it as the bathtub didn’t look appealing and just took up all the living room space. We wish the rooms were a bit more spacious, with perhaps some living room furniture, otherwise you just get a basic bed with nightstands, TV with basic cable and basic bathroom. The water pressure was good and quickly warmed up. The room AC was great and didn’t need to be run long. The issue mainly was the poor insulating as we heard out downstairs neighbours and likely would have heard whoever was across from us if there was anyone. There was no safe or iron in the room unfortunately. If beach clubs are your thing, there are three decent options very close by. We checked out “HAU” beach club directly across from this hotel. This beach club didn’t have a minimum, had a generous happy hour (4-7pm), but unfortunately we got diarrhea after their mojitos. Although they were delicious mojitos so it’s hard to regret it. I primarily booked this place to get a great spa experience and they exceeded my expectations. Thus, based on this experience, this hotel deserves nothing less than five stars. I also can’t forget to mention the hotel staff were incredibly helpful during our stay. Shoutout to all the concierges and especially including Mateo, Almira and Marianna in the reservations department!

I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people. The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs. The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that. The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be. I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation. When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.  Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.  Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.  Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

Die Einrichtungen sind in die Jahre gekommen und die Badezimmerbeleuchtung ist kaputt, wurde aber rechtzeitig repariert. Das Bett ist relativ bequem. Kostenlose Getränke von 11 bis 23 Uhr, was großartig ist. Pool auf dem Dach, sehr sauber. Auf der linken Seite liegt das türkisfarbene Meer (mit Absperrungen) und gleichzeitig können Sie die Lichter der Stadt spüren. Das Restaurant im Hinterhof des Hotels serviert authentische mexikanische Küche und ist lange genug geöffnet. Die Kellner sind einfach und freundlich und das Serviceniveau muss verbessert werden.

Bis auf ein paar Dinge war alles in diesem Hotel fantastisch. Der Service war wunderbar. Das hat mir am besten gefallen. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Besonders gut hat mir das italienische Gourmetrestaurant Chianti gefallen. Der Service dort ist der Hammer! Der Pool ist jedoch klein und überfüllt. Auch um den Pool herum gibt es nicht viele Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Strand war ausreichend mit Palapas und Stühlen ausgestattet, was schön war. Wir hatten zu jeder Tageszeit keine Probleme, einen Platz am Strand zu bekommen. Die Farbe des Wassers an diesem Ort ist absolut atemberaubend, aber die Rauheit des Strandes ist enorm. Es ist sehr schwierig, das Wasser überhaupt zu genießen. Das nächste Mal muss ich mir einen Ort mit ruhigerem Wasser suchen. Eine Reservierung für die Gourmetrestaurants zu bekommen, ist en**utigend, wie üblich in Mexiko. Ich kann nie verstehen, warum es in diesen All-Inclusive-Hotels so schwierig ist, Tischreservierungen für das Abendessen zu bekommen. Es ist wirklich lächerlich. Am Tag unserer Ankunft versprach uns die „Concierge“ (aber eigentlich die Timesharing-Verkäuferin), für uns ein paar Nächte später eine Reservierung für das italienische Restaurant zu machen, und sie sagte uns, wir sollten uns am Tag zuvor bei ihr erkundigen, um die Reservierung zu bestätigen. Also tat ich genau, was sie sagte, aber mir wurde gesagt, dass sie die Reservierungen erst am Tag der Reservierung sehen können. Also musste ich am Tag der Reservierung noch einmal nachsehen und natürlich war keine Reservierung für uns vorhanden. Sie konnten uns jedoch für diesen Abend eine Reservierung geben. Zum Glück, denn sonst wäre ich wirklich verärgert gewesen, vor allem, da wir am nächsten Tag abreisen wollten! Ich habe diesen Mist bei den All-Inclusive-Angeboten soooo satt. Es kommt zu dem Punkt, an dem es sich nicht einmal mehr lohnt, All-Inclusive zu buchen. So lächerlich, ich schwöre. Etwas so Einfaches muss für sie so schwierig sein. Wie auch immer, ich würde hier nicht wieder übernachten, weil wir den Pool überhaupt nicht genießen konnten, noch den Strand wegen der Rauheit des Wassers. Im Pool findet fast ständig ein Volleyballspiel statt und es gibt keinen Platz für irgendetwas anderes, es sei denn, Sie möchten von dem Ball am Kopf getroffen werden! Aber die Musik am Pool war die meiste Zeit gut.

Das Hotel liegt am Rande der Fifth Avenue und die Umgebung ist gut. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Straßenbar zu laut ist und der Klang der Musikbar um drei oder vier Uhr morgens immer noch laut ist.

Ich war schon in Dutzenden All-inclusive-Resorts in Cancún, aber keines ist mit dem Temptation vergleichbar. Wir sind Amerikaner asiatischer Herkunft Ende 20 und hatten eine fantastische Zeit. Atmosphäre: Ausgelassene Partystimmung mit attraktiven Mitarbeitern und einem Pool, an dem man optional oben ohne baden kann. Ein absolut unbeschwertes und entspanntes Ambiente für Paare, die einen Kurzurlaub verbringen möchten. Essen: Ich hatte gemischte Bewertungen über das Essen gelesen, aber ich muss sagen, ich war positiv überrascht von der Qualität und der Auswahl! Ich konnte jeden Tag viele leckere Gerichte probieren. Besonders gut haben mir der Steakburger, der Oktopus, der Garnelencocktail, das Sushi und vieles mehr geschmeckt. Getränke: Auch hier war ich positiv überrascht von der riesigen Auswahl und den hochwertigen Getränken wie Don Julio, Black Label und anderen. Service: Exzellenter Service, wie man ihn von einem All-inclusive-Hotel erwartet. Ein großes Lob an Polo an der ruhigen Poolbar. Alle anderen waren ebenfalls freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unterhaltung: Unbedingt das Restaurant SHE besuchen! Genießen Sie ein 5-Sterne-Menü, während Sie talentierte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer auf der Bühne und an der Stange bewundern. Was für ein Erlebnis! Jeden späten Nachmittag gibt es eine Show am Pool – urkomisch, aber auch ziemlich freizügig. Das Publikum war begeistert und total aus dem Häuschen. Tipps und Hinweise: - Es ist ein Ort mit einem Hauch von Erotik. Sinnliche und sexuelle Themen, Gerüche und die Atmosphäre sind allgegenwärtig. Es gibt attraktive Paare jeden Alters, von denen viele offen für gemeinsame, aufregende Erlebnisse sind. Natürlich liegt alles in Ihrer Hand und alle verhalten sich respektvoll. Aber im privaten Rahmen ist alles erlaubt. - Geben Sie Trinkgeld. Das freut die Mitarbeiter und verbessert auch Ihren eigenen Service! - In den Balkonzimmern des Bash Towers können Sie Paare bei einer kleinen Show beobachten. Wir wollten etwas Verrücktes sehen, haben dieses Zimmer gebucht und wurden tatsächlich nicht enttäuscht! - Die Zimmer im Bash Tower bieten Zugang zum Pool und den Whirlpools auf dem Dach. Ideal für ein Mittagessen oder um dem Trubel am Pool zu entfliehen. Der Nachtclub -bash ist immer der Hammer. Es ist ein Open-Air-Club im Vegas-Stil mit einer riesigen Bar, LED-Bühne und fantastischen Shows von talentierten Tänzern. Unbedingt hingehen! 2 bis 5 Nächte reichen hier völlig aus, sonst hat man vielleicht genug vom Feiern. Am Anfang wird einem Timesharing-Modell angeboten. Wir haben darauf verzichtet, aber das ist natürlich jedem selbst überlassen. Man bekommt ein paar Gratisleistungen und geht keine Verpflichtung ein – es kommt also ganz auf die Zeit an. Obwohl es recht viele jüngere Leute gibt, liegt das Durchschnittsalter definitiv bei über 40. Ich wünschte, es gäbe mehr Asiaten im Resort, da es überwiegend von Weißen und Hispanics besucht wird. Sie sollten die Preise auf trip.com verbessern, um mehr asiatische Gäste anzulocken. Das ist mein einziger Vorschlag!

Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

A pleasant stay. We received a room upgrade to ocean view which was lovely. Good size spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Amenities at the sister hotel next door were better than ours but because you can access both, this was not an issue. Friendly, helpful staff and good food from the three restaurants we tried. All inclusive drinks in our package were local and not very enjoyable - this would be my only gripe!

Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber, aber wenn Sie warmes Wasser in der Schale aufbewahren, ist das weißes Pulver? Sehr leider, es gibt viele Dinge, die flocken. Es gibt kein Problem mit Bett, Toilette und Gesichtswaschbecken. Ich glaube, wenn das Zimmer etwas heller wird, habe ich nichts gesagt. Ich habe gehört, dass ich Zahnbürsten mitbringen würde, wenn Sie wollen, aber weil Sie das Etikett für Ihre Störung angezeigt haben? Ich habe nicht ... Ich habe nur die Landschaft aus dem Zimmer (Nacht) gesehen, aber sehr gut!
