Wir blieben im Chinchilla Motor Inn als Familie und hatten eine fantastische Erfahrung. Die Zimmer waren sauber, komfortabel und gut gepflegt perfekt für eine Familienstopp. Eine besondere Erwähnung für die schöne Dame auf der Rezeption, die unglaublich hilfreich und willkommen war. Hoch empfehlen, dass jeder durchquert oder in Chinchilla verbleibt!

Großes Hotel und Lage. Hat alles, was Sie innerhalb von Spazierweitern benötigen. Restaurants Bars und Casino nur unten. Pool war wunderschön. Mehr Restaurants und Pac Fair Mall nur über die Straße. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand. Wir gingen sogar zu Draculas Cabaret für eine Abendshow eine Nacht. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit und alles war sauber. Wir würden hier wieder bleiben. Die einzige Seite unten musste zusätzliche für Parkplätze zahlen. Es ist $20 pro Tag.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was ok but during our stay, no one came and clean up and we asked to change the towels only and the housekeeper seemed like she wasn't happy. When we checked in, the staff at the reception didn't give us any information on when to check out or information about the hostel because my application showed that I could check out until 5 pm, luckily I was asking. We don't ask for any special treatment but just the basic thing that we should've known. We've stayed at YHA Sydney Harbour and the staff were friendlier. Not that bad but not that good though.

Das Cairns Pacific Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Piers. Es ist ein sehr altes Hotel mit veralteter Ausstattung und häufigen Aufzugsstörungen – zum Glück ohne Unfälle. Ich kam am Anreisetag gegen 22 Uhr im Hotel an. Da das Zimmer nicht der gebuchten Kategorie entsprach, konnte mir die Rezeption nur ein zusätzliches Zimmer anbieten, was eine akzeptable Lösung war. Das Frühstück ist kostenpflichtig und die Auswahl begrenzt (Kaffee, Brot, Obst, Hotdogs, Speck, keine warme Suppe oder andere Gerichte), aber der Preis ist auch nicht gerade günstig. Das Zimmer war geräumig, aber das Badezimmer war alt.

I had a great stay at Gilligan’s! The room was spacious and clean, and I was even lucky enough to have the whole dorm to myself one night. I still managed to meet plenty of people, despite being a solo traveller, thanks to the social atmosphere and nightlife. It’s worth noting that the bar/club area didn’t really get busy until late in the evening (11:30pm onwards), and the hostel is pretty deserted during the day thanks to everyone being out on tours/experiences. My room was overlooking the pool/bar area, so did get noisy at night, but the hostel offers free earplugs at reception which did the trick. It was great to have an en-suite in the room, and the bathroom was in good condition. The location is ideal, right within the hub of Cairns City, however I didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female traveller in the area at night, so it’s definitely important to be aware of that/travel in a group where possible. The on-site travel agency is helpful and approachable, and staying at the hostel means that you can get discounted drinks at the bar and free club entry before 11pm. I didn’t end up going to any of the weekday themed nights, but at the weekend the vibes downstairs were good. I would definitely recommend Gilligan’s to any young solo/group travellers who want to meet new people and experience Cairns’ party scene at a budget-friendly price!

Sehr schönes Hotel, ich habe meinen Aufenthalt genossen. Sie können schlafen und dem Rauschen des Meeres lauschen. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich gut und das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich.

It was great stay. Clean room, quiet, peaceful ambiance plus the beach itself. Professional staff. In short we love it ❤️

We absolutely adored our stay here! Amazing location - right by the train station and the ferry port and southbank is such a great spot with the bars, restaurants and beach by the river. The hotel was stunning with beautiful rooftop pool and decor throughout our room and main areas. We were just sad it was only 1 night! We didn’t want to leave. All the staff were amazing and food and drinks were delicious!

In Brisbane findet dieses Wochenende ein Rugby-Spiel statt, und die Hotelpreise in der ganzen Stadt sind deutlich gestiegen. Dieses Hostel hingegen hat seinen günstigen Preis beibehalten, was angesichts der guten Unterkunft wirklich gut ist. Nur eine kleine Anmerkung: Bei meiner Ankunft waren leider keine Handtücher mehr da 😔

Ein wenig subtropische Oasis direkt in der Mitte der Stadt. Konventionell im Stadtzentrum mit Zugang zu Geschäften und Geschäften, neben der Tür zu Woolies und einen kurzen Spaziergang zum Strand. Und dennoch ist es ein ruhiger, friedlicher und lustiger Ort zu bleiben. Unspotlessly clean. Schönes Personal.
