"Das ist das zweite Hotel in Hallstatt, aber der Front-Counter-Service ist das schlimmste, das ich in Europa getroffen habe. Ich habe dieses Hotel gewählt, weil es nahe dem Kreuzfahrthafen ist, aber es hat eigentlich ein anderes Gebäude, das weit von hier entfernt ist, besser ich das andere 4-Sterne-Hotel, das nahe ist und Service viel besser. Muss den Front Desk Service verbessern"

"This hotel is at the end of the lake. The hotel serves a really tasty buffet lunch for 15.90 Euros. It includes, salad, soup, probably 3 or 4 meat dishes and  dessert. I was there 10 minutes before a huge group , maybe 50 in all arrived and I had to hurry myself to get my food because it would be a long wait. When I was eating people can’t squeeze by each other but I only ate there once and  since it will rain that afternoon I didn’t waste any time. I have to say the staff was ok. A lady checked me in quite efficiently. I paid the occupancy tax and I got the key. When I arrrived at 11:45 am, there was no one in the small reception office. A waitress was really serving diners. There is a man who worked at the deli /sausage shop next to it to help out. I have to say the staff there in general wasn’t that welcoming. I wish they had been more pleasant and show a little smile and happiness in their work. It seemed like she was there because she had no other choice.   The room is 12 at the end of a long hallway. There is a big window. The room is small but I was fine with it. No complaint. The other thing is I wish they put a table lamp on the small desk. Otherwise, the room has enough shelf space for me. The morning buffet is excellent. It offered some tomatoes, small baby coins , cucumbers, many different of rolls, several varieties of ham , salami, egg, sausages, yogures, juice, cereal.  The coffee is made with coffee beans and it was excellent. The breakfast is the best. The small village has practically nothing. There is another hotel 10 to 15 minutes that serve dinner. Another town Bad Goisern is 2.4 miles to the north accessible by train or by bus where there is a Hofer ( Aldi in the U S ) and other supermarkets and restaurants. If you don’t have a car, you have to be prepared something or pay to eat at the one and only restaurant that I knew. On the other hand, this hotel has a microwave oven and one water kettle in case you have instant noodles. The bakery a few steps is expensive. I had a coffee and a sweet roll for 8 Euros.  The hotel is a few steps from a trail that takes you down 6 miles to Obertraun . The trail is in good condition and a large distance is by the lake. You can find the trail in Alltrails. There is a restaurant called Seecafé Obertraun that you can rest to have a sandwich , coffee or a beer. The sitting is by the lake and there is a clean restroom . The waitress and waiter were both friendly.  If I have to do it again, I would take a bus to Hallstatt from there . I think the bus number is 542 to 544. It should be cheaper than the ferry which is a rip off . 12 Euros for a 25 minutes ride. Bus is cheaper . The ferry is a fraud and it shouldn’t charge that much. I didn’t know there is a bus connection from there. All in all, this hotel is quite decent. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but the buffet lunch is quite adequate. If you eat at 2:00 pm ( I think it closes at 2:30 pm ), you won’t need to dinner. Aside from the not so welcoming one out of 3 staff members, price is unbeatable. I notice that the price doesn’t change if you book early or late and doesn’t use dynamic pricing which I hate. If there is availability, you pay the same price which is more than fair. I read that one guest complaInts about the smell from the kitchen and the meat market next to it. It isn’t really an issue. There is a door on the second floor leading down to the kitchen and meat market. Someone closed the door in the morning. Some people just was so nitpicking when they are angry which is not justifiable. I believe the owner offers a decent , clean room for a very fair price as Hallstatt is really touristy and this hotel is a much better option that staying in Hallstatt and pay overpriced food and lodging with every shop sells souvenirs. If you are in the area, this hotel is an excellent choice. "

"Das Zimmer ist sehr gut, sehr neu sauber, wie es bald eröffnet wird. Die Suite ist nicht groß, sie ist vernünftig, drei Menschen reichen auch aus. Das gefärbte Bett muss verbessert werden, nur das Bett aus einem Gewebe gefärbt werden und die Innenseite ist schlafend und nicht so gut wie schlafend. Es gibt eine kleine Mädchen auf der Rezeption, die Chinesisch spricht, sehr enthusiastisch, aktiv Service anbieten, lobenswert. Das Frühstück ist gut, die Sorte ist nicht sehr hoch."

"Da es in der Nähe der Altstadt lag, war die Besichtigung einfach. Es gab keine Mikrowelle. Es war hilfreich, unbegrenzt Wasser zu haben. Es war sauber und schön, aber die Toilettentür war kaputt, daher wäre es meiner Meinung nach besser, sie zu reparieren."

"Es war alles sauber und top ausgestattet, hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Gab sogar Badesatz, Duftkerze, 2 Willkommenspralinen, einen kleinen Sublementspray und Makeup Handtücher, alles Inkludiert. Die Dusche mit den Lichteinstellungen war ein kleines Highlight. 😄 Sämtliches Personal ist auf Fragen und Wünsche umgehend, freundlich und kompetent eingegangen. 👍 2 kleine Mängel wurden ebenfalls sofort aufgeschrieben um sie umgehend reparieren zu lassen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, zusätzliche Speisen konnten bestellt werde, wie z.B. Avocado Toast, Eierspeise, weiches Ei,... (ohne Zuzahlung). War etwas aufgebraucht, wurde es auf Anfrage aufgefüllt. Draußen sitzen, unter der Markise war bei den sommertemperaturen sehr angenehm. Die Lage ist auch super, direkt im Ort, aber kaum Straßenlärm. Man ist in ein paar Minuten direkt am Mondsee. Eigene Garage ist verfügbar und top designed, jedoch könnten die Parkplätze ein wenig breiter und länger sein. Preis/Leistung war für uns ok, über Trip haben wir anscheinend sogar wirklich etwas gespart. Jedoch die ausstehende Kurtaxe hätte man noch vorab irgendwo mitteilen können, die beim check-out bezahlt werden muss. Alles in Allem top Hotel für einen entspannten Urlaub. 😎"

"Wir checkten am 14. Mai 2026 ein. Die gesamte Hotelfront war wegen Renovierungsarbeiten komplett verdeckt, vermutlich deshalb erhielten wir ein Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit Seeblick. Leider roch es im Zimmer stark muffig und feucht. Die Hoteleinrichtungen waren auch sehr einfach, es gab kein kostenloses Mineralwasser. Der Preis stand in keinem Verhältnis zur Leistung. Obwohl die Landschaft des Touristenortes, in dem sich das Hotel befindet, angenehm ist, fand ich sie persönlich nicht so beeindruckend, dass man immer wieder zurückkehren oder sie unbedingt einmal im Leben gesehen haben müsste. Die Gegend ist stark kommerzialisiert; eine Schaumente kostet 12,90 € 😅. Es ist fast schon lächerlich, wie die Einheimischen das Geld der Touristen verdienen wollen, aber gleichzeitig eine arrogante und hochnäsige Haltung an den Tag legen. Ein sehr durchschnittliches, ungenießbares Schnitzel mit Pommes kostet 29,50 €, was umgerechnet etwa 230 RMB sind. Das ist eine unverschämte Preispolitik. Wie arm müssen die Einheimischen sein? Ich würde empfehlen, diesen Ort nur für eine kurze Pause während einer Reise einzuplanen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist schlecht."
