Hampton Inn & Suites Waco-South

Only giving 2 stars because of 2 star employees, Shawn and Liz! These two lady were the only shinning light to our stay. When my son and I arrived there were 3 people sitting at the front desk. Two women and a male worker by the name of Chris. The male worker was more interested in flirting with one of the ladies instead of working. I blew it off and went to my room. When we get settled into our room we turn on the TV to find it saying "no signal". Then I place my purse on the bench at the end of the bed; only to find it not to be stable. I call the front desk and Chris comes to help with the TV and look at the bench. The TV was caused by them switching cable providers and the input channel was changed. I asked Chris twice to please show me how got it to work. "No, that won't be necessary." I asked about when we shut it off would it return to no signal. Again, there was no need. But sure enough it happened again. And his response to the bench was it's falling apart like the rest of the hotel. I asked for the front desk to put in a maintenance order for both, and for the names of the ladies on shift with Chris. It was at that point I learned there was only 1 female worker. The other was Chris's girlfriend. I guess that explains why he was more interested in her than working when we first arrived. And why taking 5 minutes to teaching me the input switch on the TV was not necessary. His next booty call was more important. When I went down the next morning Shawn and Liz were exceptionally. And even made sure the maintenance guy, Charles, had been up to help. Later that evening returned to find the TV replaced and the broken bench rescrewed, but still unsafe. We've stayed at this hotel before because of the indoor pool and hot tub. Will we return??... hot tub is no more, my ice water was warmer than the pool, and unprofessional employees. What is there to come back for?

8 night stay. Requested housekeeping 6 times. Only got it twice. Once only towels changed. Sometimes breakfast food ran out. Free wifi did not work as indicated

What a great fun hotel, hottest heated pool on Earth, amazing indoor pool. Great breakfast, everyone very kind and nice and helpful. Just 10 minutes to the Baylor football game like we went to to see my WV Mountaineers beat them

Rooms were very spacious, the pool was heated and felt amazing, and the breakfast was amon the best we've had! Wanted to give an extra comment and praise to the ladies working the breakfast as they were attentive to making sure the food was stocked and fresh. They talked with the guests and made everyone feel welcome! Great job to the staff!

Perfect hotel in every way. Location ideal, lots of restaurants, easy access, breakfast was great. Friendly front desk.

The staff was busy visiting with each other so had to wait until their conversation was done. When making the reservation I asked if the swimming pool was open and told yes. When we got there the PH levels prevented us from swimming. There was mold around the shower.

It was good except the toilet had to be flushed by hand It was not refilling. Caulking around the shower needs redoing.

TV remote control not working. Landline phone not working. Very inconvenient. Poor coffee. Room layout was big, spacious, and nice. We stayed at a King Bed ADA Suite. We did not request an ADA room, but we were placed in one. Bathroom was spacious as well. Loved the big desk even though is place in the middle of the room.

The room was nice and clean, but the bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast needed to be cooked a bit longer, but the dining area was roomy. The stay was ok.
