Let’s start with that this was a last minute booking as there was no other 7 point or above guest rated accommodation available in Nadi and this is in comparison to many other hotel/resorts that I have stayed-in in the past. Location - It is literally in the middle of no where by Fiji standards. In the middle of Nadi and Lautoka town so take a pick on which direction you want to travel about 25min by car. Hard to find taxi’s as there isn’t a dedicated taxi stand. You will have to call one in for yourself. Resort - Don’t expect a typical big Hotel/Resort style reception. The reception area is a small office at the back of a home opposite the restaurant, like a home office. Room - Room was decent size, clean at a quick glance but not clean enough if want to be critical for the amount you pay for the room. Dusty bits in corners, some places in the shower and toilet area had black spots (didn’t want to find out what it was) especially on the walls, shower track was dirty and tiled floors and walls just needs a good clean. The room was adjoining style with a door separating the two rooms and that was just not enough to keep the conversation next door out of my room. Can’t say the walls were thin as it’s all concrete. The King size bed was of a better quality. I found it weird that it had a flat sheet on top and the doona was initially just thrown in the cupboard. Usually it is fitted with the flat sheet. We used the doona the first day and then there after it was neatly folded away in the cupboard. Didn’t want to find out if the doona covers were changed or not. If you are looking for a place with sandy beach and to swim in the ocean then this may not be it. There is a small beach area (if you can call it that) between mangrove and rocks. You will get a tan but that’s about it. The deal came with breakfast but 1 day of breaky was enough. The selection was minimal and very basic and honestly not worth getting up for. It’s a different case if you don’t have wheels to explore other places. Wifi is not reliable at all and is as slow as it can be. Basic functions are ok in but wanting to stream movies, then forget it. And you will be lucky to get a ok connection in parts of the room. I just believe that tourism in Fiji has just boomed and due to high turnover, there is not enough time to get a thorough clean and maintain in the turn time. This may not be true for main stream or bigger hotel chains where more staff are employed a standard is to be maintained but certainly for the smaller hotel/resorts, it certainly seems to be the case. My verdict - Would I book again if I had a choice, then NO. Would I book again if I had to, then yes as it’s decent but still not worth the prices I have seen online for the establishment. Kudos to staff for going out of their way to make things happen to the best of their ability.

We spent five nights at this adults only paradise in a hotel style room. The room (131) was huge with plenty of space. Our room was behind reception so sometimes you heard comings and going’s but not annoying. There were approx seven couples staying at the same time which you saw mainly at mealtime. It was very peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. There was a different menu each day for lunch and dinner with meals being delicious and plentiful with variety. Chef Peni came out and said hello to diners most nights after cooking food. Breakfast was good which we ordered freshly cooked yummy omelettes and eggs. Staff were all wonderful and friendly. A special shout out to Princess Lea who took take to learn your name and greeted you every time you saw her with her beautiful smile and service. Marina 3 - 4 min up the road by car offers another meal option which was excellent and being a great spot for watching sunsets. Limited cultural experience compared to other resorts but other reviews did note them. Landers Bay resort is highly recommended if you looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday where you will be well looked after with good meals, staff and facilities. We will be back.

Ich vermute, die Fotos wurden vor fünfzehn Jahren aufgenommen, als das Resort eröffnet wurde und seitdem nicht viel Erhaltung getan wurde. Die Boden sind verdammt und zerrissen - eine einfache Reinigung würde eine lange Strecke gehen. Die Struktur hat sich offensichtlich abgewickelt, da es Lücken in den Gelenken und im Badesagen. In Bezug auf das Badezimmer hat sich der Duschekopf in einigen Orten korrosionsbeständig und bietet einen schwer inkonsistenten Spray. Design-wässriges Wasserschrank ist zu klein: Alles basiert auf einem Meter-Quadrat und ist kleiner als ein Flugzeug Toilette. (Ich schlug mir den Kopf auf die Tür, wenn ich auf dem Toilette sitzen setzte). Der Wasserheizer für unsere Höhle ist zu klein (wahrscheinlich 100 Liter) und aus heißem Wasser fließen war die Norm. Auch keine Dusche zurück-zu-rück, der Heizgerät braucht Erholungszeit. Während die Fotos zeigen all diese breiten Türen, um die Außenseite zu lassen, als wir es vorgeschlagen, sagte der Personal, es war eine schlechte Idee wegen all der Moskitos. Sie haben auch hilfreich vorgeschlagen, dass wir nicht auf dem Strand zu Fuß gehen, da einige Gäste während der Fußgänger auf der Straße gestohlen wurden. Ich bin nicht sicher, wie die Website behaupten kann, dass die Höhlen sind 860 Quadratfuß; der Innenraum ist 4x8 Meter (344 Quadratfuß) und einschließlich der Außenveranda, die Größe ist 52 Quadratfuß (560 Quadratfuß). Da es nun ist, würden wir nicht zurückkommen und ich würde es nicht an Freunde empfehlen ...

Das Resort wird vor allem für Zwischenstopp zwischen Flügen oder Schiffstouren genutzt. Bungalows groß, aber Einrichtung teils kaputt und ungepflegt. Miserabler Service, von Rezeption bis zum Zimmerpersonal. Und bei den meisten Bungalows ist es lärmig. Vor allem von der zentralen Bar kommt Geschrei und Musik, jeden Abend. Zwar am Meer mit Strand, das Wasser ist aber nicht sehr einladend, man kann auch nur bei Ebbe schwimmen. Pools ok, wenn man vom ganztägigen Kindergeschrei absieht. Man fährt nur rund 30 Minuten zum Flughafen. 1. Nacht hatte ich Garden Bure, halbwegs ruhig, man hört allerdings bis spätabends den Wirbel vom Pool. Klappenfenster, damit nachts laut, kühl und zugig. In diesem Fale gab es keine warme Decke. Badlicht war defekt, WC-Licht ließ sich nicht ausschalten. 2. Nacht sollte ich wieder ein Garden Bure bekommen, als ich abends ankomme, ist es dort wegen extremer AC eiskalt, und nachts ist es außen auch schon kühl. Bekomme nach langen Diskussionen mit unfreundlicher Rezeption (siehe Service) einen Beach Bure (Baden ist dort aber nicht möglich). Lärm von der Bar und Geschrei, Polka (!) aus dröhnenden Lautsprechern. Der Schalter für den Ventilator ist kaputt, habe letztlich für den ganzen Bungalow den Strom abgeschaltet, um schlafen zu können. Diese Bure hatte mal unten echte Fenster, aber unter dem Dach war wieder das übliche Fenster mit offenen Klappen, da ging der ganze Lärm rein, bis zu den laut kreischenden Vögeln ab 5 Uhr früh. 3. Nacht wieder Garden Bure. Das Zimmer ist voll Moskitos, weil Housekeeping beim Putzen immer alles offen lässt. Ersuche um Raumspray, bekomme Flasche mit kaputter Sprühvorrichtung und verätze mir die Fingerkuppe recht heftig. Als ich die einzige, raue Bettdecke vor dem Schlafengehen lüfte, sind dutzende kleine Mücken darunter. Und es kommen permanent neue, kaum, dass man sie entfernt hat. Nie wieder. WIFI für Gäste gibt es nur an der Hotelbar, mit schlechtem Empfang, sonst muss man zahlen. Das ist eine Frechheit. Die kleine Rezeption ist eine Kältekammer, man wird von einer arktischen AC angeblasen und kann nicht ausweichen, wenn man eincheckt. Den Rezeptionisten ist alles egal. Room Service passt dazu: Ich bestellte Fischfilets mit Chips. Wurde nach längerer Zeit geliefert, aber ohne ein einziges Gewürz und - OHNE BESTECK! (im Zimmer gab es natürlich keines). Beim 3. Aufenthalt komme ich um 12.20 Uhr mittags an und muss draußen zusammen mit Moskitoschwärmen bis 13.55 Uhr auf den Bezug des ZImmers warten, obwohl die anderen Gäste ja bereits bis 10.00 Uhr auschecken müssen, und die meisten Bures schon fertig sind. Rezeption ist völlig stur, es ist ihnen egal. Drinnen warten kann man nicht, weil die Rezeption auf gefühlte 12 Grad heruntergekühlt ist.
