Sehr gute Erfahrung in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer ist sehr groß und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und es gibt glutenfreies Essen. Außerdem liegt es ganz in der Nähe der Accademia-Brücke, die den Canal Grande überquert. Sie haben auch ein Restaurant im selben Hotel. Daher empfehle ich es zu 100%.

This is a 3 star hotel posing as a 4 star, be aware of this when you book. We arrived as a couple on a Saturday afternoon and found out in the evening that neither toothbrushes or toothpaste are supplied in any form at the hotel. This is despite the hotel receptionist telling me candidly all shops are closed past 9pm, so the hotel is aware of this not being a problem to solve via a late night shop visit. I also noted the poor condition of the bathroom sink which was a push away from dislodging entirely, but this is a smaller issue than the toothbrush one mentioned. For what it’s worth, the receptionist told me the manager has previously been made aware of the toothbrush issue by other guests and has chosen to not address it. Therefore, I find myself writing a negative review I otherwise wouldn’t have, so book at your own peril.

We booked a three night break in a superior room. Arrived around 10.30pm. Went to reception only to be told that we could only stay in the room for one night and then had to move. Not happy. Told them will not be moving. Was then showed to our room which was the other side of another hotel called “SONOR” This hotel looked really nice, but our accommodation was in a very delapidated building. On our way up to our room on the 2nd floor we noticed a lot of plaster on the walls was falling off and being trodden into the worn carpet. Opened the door to what was supposed to be our Superior room. However, it was like student accommodation. As basic as it could be. No plug for bath. No hot water, One insect blind not working. Curtain rails but no curtains. Booked a double bed but got two singles pushed together plus two other singles. The whole room needed a good clean and paint. Open wardrobe had broken lower rail and only 4 hangers. Bleak bathroom with some tiles on floor missing. Holes where fixtures and shelves were once there. No hand rail by bath which was very slippery with no safety mat. Light over basin not working. No info book in room about facilities or local places of interest etc., Wall mounted TV but no remote control. AC did not work. No phone in room. Can honestly say, this room was the worst that we have seen in 50 plus years of travelling. As it was late, went down for a quick drink and started talking to a couple of americans. All of a suddon a rat jumped or fell out of the climbing bush. While we were sitting talking we saw a total of 6 rats. Went down for breakfast in the morning. No orange juice, No hot water for tea. We had a full day out and came back, changed for dinner. It was a decent meal and waiter was very polite but did not ask if we wanted side orders, desert, coffee etc. after serving, just left us to it. a few more rats seen running around but we were used to it now. Went to bed and came down for breakfast next day, which was the same low standard as day before. Out all day, came back and changed for dinner. I ordered a grilled steak which you could not cut and was very chewy, so left it. not until the end did the waiter come round and asked if everything okay. I replied ‘no, terrible, could not cut or eat’. Waiter went off and came back and confirmed he had taken the meal off the bill and would not be any charge. That was fine but did not ask if I wanted something else to eat. NOTE ---- This is a ONE/TWO star hotel and not 4 star as advertised. BEWARE BEWARE

Das Hotel wird als Palace geführt, Wüsste gerne wie es zu 4 Sterne kam. Die Rezeption unfreundlich und absolut nicht Dienstleistungsorientiert, mit Ausnahme einer jungen Dame! Die Kellner unfreundlich und widerwillig! Das Zimmer war eiskalt, hatte bei Ankunft maximal 10° die Aircondition hat ungefähr 15° geschafft und ich habe, trotz zwei Decken, die ganze Nacht nicht geschlafen weil ich gefroren hab. Das Wasser zum Duschen hatte circa 30°. Es war das schlimmste Erlebnis, das ich je in einem Hotelzimmer hatte. Auch die Ausstattung beziehungsweise die schmutzigen Teppichböden waren ein Gräuel. Die Lage ist gut, aber von 5 Minuten zum Markusplatz sind wir meilenweit entfernt und anstatt sich zu entschuldigen hat bei meiner Abreise der junge Mann gemeint, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Ich kann dieses Hotel absolut nicht empfehlen.

Air conditioning was not working they put a portable A/C and did not install it correctly . The room was not what was promised on the picture it was small smelled like mold. The bathroom was outside of the room but better then the room that we had it was just a mess . Someone came it while my son was taking a shower I thought was to fix a plumbing problem but it was to fix another room I would never ever stay at this hotel ever again the staff was the best but the facility is not good do not stay here!

I am very disappointed and even upset with our stay at Messner Palace. The individuals at the front desk were very rude and disrespectful. From when we checked in, we were not given the time of day, leaving us to try and run around to find our way around. While we were there, there was a water bus strike. We tried getting assistance from the lady at the front desk to who she sent us chasing bus stations which we came to find out was misinformation. We also asked about the water taxi service, to which we were advised we could call later that evening with her colleague - which ended up being untrue and by that point no water taxis were available (and that they do not even work at that time). This led to us having to walk over a kilometer over bridges in the middle of a rain storm to sit in a water bus station overnight to try and leave Venice. Sadly, this was only one of the poor experiences during our stay. The property itself is not well kept, and the breakfast was subpar. The rooms as excessively hot.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights when visiting Venice for first time. I have no other acommondation to compare to in Venice but I Will try to give an honest review about The Hotel and what I/We experienced. + (Plus) Positivite feedback: + Friendly staff at The lobby (The man working when we came was nice and friendly and seemed very proffesional) + Aircondition in the room. It was lovely to come back to The Room when it was really hot outside + Location: It was a calm neighbourhood according to our experience but still easy and fast to get everywhere. - ( Minus) Constructive feedback/ something to develop: - 4star? I don't know what The Italian/Venice standard is with the grading, but it was a lot less than what I expected. (Would have rated it maybe 2) - Room interior and bathroom (The carpet had a lot of stains, curtains had stains, toilet seat was a bit broken) looked better on The pictures online than what it was IRL), Toiletpaper was missing when we came (but that was an easy fix) - Breakfast. It tasted good but on The menu it said clearly what items was coming to The table and what items was self serving. The lady was really nice who served us on The beginning, she was kind and polite, brought as what we wanted. Then we wanted more bread, and it was Listed on The selfserve menu so I went to get it and another lady working came to me like "NO NO you can't take yourself" took The breadbasket out My hands". I felt humiliated. Would not recommend this place.

When we arrived, we were informed in a very Germanic manner, that we were early and that the check-in was not until 3 o'clock. I had to ask if we could leave our luggage, as it was obviously not going to be offered. We left the hotel and returned at 15:05 to a stern unwelcoming receptionist, who made the point rather loudly , that it was only 5 past 3. I asked if that was an issue and was told to 'wait there' until he had checked if our room was ready. There was nowhere to sit, as the 'services' team had placed their tools and towels and toilet rolls, on the only bench seat in the reception area. Not a good start to our stay. On our first breakfast morning, after 30 minutes, we had received half filled coffee cups, a couple of croissants and a couple of dry bread rolls. No orange juice, no spreads, no cheese and ham, nothing. I only say this because the Italian guests around us, were into yoghurts, fresh fruit and cakes after already receiving what we missed out on above. My wife was close to tears and I had to demand some service. It was pointed out that under Covid rules, there was no self service and that I should just wait. We left. The cleaning lady who prepared our room, left the windows open. 'In Venice' by the canal?? We were up most of the night dealing with mosquitoes. On our second night, we were prepared. On occasions when I went to speak to reception, the receptionist was invariably doing 'stuff'. I had to stand and wait until it was my turn, after 'stuff'.
