I have just stayed at this hotel for three nights. Undeniably, it is located right in downtown Vancouver. I arrived in Vancouver by cruise ship, so it only took me a ten-minute walk to get here and check in. It is merely a five-minute stroll from the hotel to the nearest Waterfront Station, making transportation extremely convenient.
Regrettably, I was utterly shocked by the hotel’s exterior the moment I arrived. It does not even qualify as a two-star hotel at all, and its entire style is stuck firmly in the 1970s. Stepping inside felt like walking into century-old hotels in London, UK.
What surprised me even more after checking into my room was the appalling in-room condition. There was an air conditioner that looked decades old, propped up by a wooden stick to stop it from wobbling and falling apart.
My biggest letdown was the constant noise starting from past 8 o’clock every morning. The staff kept bustling in and out of guest rooms for cleaning nonstop, showing no consideration whatsoever for guests who were still asleep. The racket lasted all the way until around noon, and peace only returned once they finished their cleaning work.
Besides, the hotel staff offered barely any proper service, and the overall service quality is extremely poor.
This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in over the past twenty years, and I will never book any hotel under this brand ever again.
