Medplaya Aparthotel Esmeraldas

Apartamento bueno relación calidad precio. Las camas no eran incómodas. Tiene una pequeña cocina, que te hace el apaño para desayunar y preparar comidas para pasar el día fuera. Baño correcto, la alcachofa de la ducha tiene potencia, lo cual es un punto a favor. Tiene un balcón con tendedero, lo cual es necesario si vas a Tossa con idea de playa. Ofrecen parking, lo cual sabiendo cómo está tema aparcar es un punto a favor.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Esmeralda, had a lovely time. Spacious apartment with everything you need, really good sofa bed to sleep 2 and separate bedroom with 2 decent single beds. Modern bathroom and lovely large balcony. The apartments are in a quiet spot but a short walk away from restaurants. There is also a little play area just down the Road with zip wire, swings etc. The beach and lots bars, restaurants and cobbled streets lined with shops are about 10-15 walk away. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating as our Daughter has a nut allergy and they checked all the food, snacks etc that we had. We took translation cards which detailed her allergies and the severity and I’m so glad we did, we used them throughout the holiday many times. Pool isn’t huge but we perfect for us, we could relax by the pool while we watched our Daughters play. They don’t allow large inflatables but our girls had rings, balls and water pistols and were fine. Brilliant for Families, no music playing or entertainment or anything but this didn’t bother us. We enjoyed a week here in this lovely apart hotel from 14th to 21st of July. A lovely apartment on the 3rd floor looking onto the road/hotel opposite which was brilliant as we were able to eat on our balcony in the shade! We paid for car parking, maybe a little expensive but we had peace of mind our rental car was safe and after exploring surrounding resorts and places of interest, we had somewhere to park. The hotel receptionists/bar staff/cleaners were really helpful and friendly, from helping us use the induction hob to finding my lost bag of souvenirs in the bar! Spotlessly clean, good towels, enough hand wash and shower gels, a small welcome pack for the kitchen and a supermarket around the corner. 10 minute walk into town/beach. Great place. Can’t wait to return, so wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. If we could give you 6* we would. Thank you for a lovely stay 😎

We had a lovely experience while at this hotel. Check in was easy, we booked through a Jet2 package. Rooms where clean, tidy. We had a little freezer box in the fridge for ice lollys and we where self catering and it had all we needed. Good proximity to Tossa de mar town. Short 10 min walk to town/beaches. Supermarket around the corner. Some people comment on the size of the pool but we found it to be fine! It had a shallow ledge around the outside which I loved having a little one. Balcony was spacious and doors of bedroom and living room in apartment. The staff where lovely! In reception, bar and housekeeping. I would stay again!

Anyone who loves self catering as we do, will be delighted to stay here. The apartments are so well designed and a great deal of thought and attention to detail has gone into the layout in order to prepare a simple meal using the wonderful fresh Catalonian produce. Every utensil you need is there and is of good quality. The apartments are large, comfortable, quiet, and along with the rest of the hotel are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pool area is lovely and once again clean and welcoming. The biggest asset here are the staff. From the maintenance guy to the cleaning team and receptionists. All are superb and extremely helpful. A special mention to Maria, who went above and beyond to assist us with several issues we had, due to our lack of technical knowledge. She even came to our apartment to show us how to use the induction hob, as we were clueless. I cannot fault this hotel and it is perfectly located to explore the beautiful resort of Tossa de mar. Will definitely return.

Just back from a weeks stay. This apart hotel is spotless. Small mix up at check in but, we went up to our room, and the receptionist came up after about 10 mins with apologies and all was sorted. Our air conditioned apartment had everything you need for self catering, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle,2 ring induction hob. Plates, cutlery cups and glasses for 4. Plenty of plugs. Table in the apartment and on the balcony. Small washing up liquid dish cloth and towel. Clothes airer and mop and brush. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. We had twin beds which were close together, but think they were larger than your average single, so as best friends wasn't a problem. Really comfortable beds and pillows. The sofa does pull out to a bed so could have used if needed. Good sized bathroom, walk in shower. Clean towels most days(if left in bathroom changed), bed changed twice I think, but made most days except the weekend. Room cleaned through the week.Balcony doors in the bedroom and kitchen/dining area. Good for cooling down the room. We didn't have breakfast, but it was a buffet style looked lovely and we could have for €7a head, served till 11am. We were on the top floor, end room overlooking the pool, lovely and quiet. The pool is spotless,separate children's splash pool it is small and can imagine it's busy at high season. Mainly couples and families with small children when we were there Plenty of sunbeds and reclining chairs sun all day. There's a separate patio area where you can take your drinks or food. Bar prices for a hotel were very good. It does close at 8pm. 10-20 mins to walk to the beach through the old town all flat though. We did find a more direct route which is bit quicker so ask reception to show you on the map. Plenty of supermarkets on either way into town. Lovely bar just down the road. Staff friendly and welcoming. For a relaxing holiday, comfortable clean friendly base, it was perfect and I would recommend.

Myself and my wife stayed here recently for a weeks holiday. Check in was a bit slow but no problem. Aparent had everything you need. Good size and adequate. Hotel is situated 5 mins walk from the centre and 10 mins from the beach. Nice a quite area. Plenty of bars and restaurants near by. We were kate in the season so had the pool to ourselves most of the time. I would imagine it being very busy in high season which for a small pool could be an issue. Breakfast had a wide choice and there was a toatie machine if you wanted to make a hot sandwich. Nice bar area but closed at 8pm (Maybe because it was late in season) but we used bars nearby anyway. Reception were very helpful and pleasant. Overall happy to use the hotel again. If you want 4 star then book another hotel but for us this was very good value. Everything spotlessly clean. I went with my mum and stayed in a one bedroom apartment room 403 it was on the 4 th floor and overlooking the pool, big apartments with all the cooking facilities you need, lovely bathroom and shower, also had a hairdryer, the staff were lovely so helpful , location was brilliant 7 minute walk to the old town but it's on a flat so good, the pool area was quite small but had plenty of beds , nobidy was putting towels down early, they also had table and chairs outside so you could escape the sun if needed, we were very happy overall with this hotel and would highly recommend, I only have 1 small issue was we only had our room cleaned once, I think the cleaner forgot us, when she did come she didn't do a great job, the rest of the hotel was immaculate.i thi k this was just a one off issue .overall wonderfully hotel in wonderful Tossa De Mar.

Stayed self catering in 1 bedroom apartment. Beds very comfortable. Rooms cleaned daily and bottle of wine left in apartment on arrival 😍. Great location 5 min walk to centre of Tossa 10 min to beach. Market on the streets around hotel on a Thursday. Staff helpful. Pool/pool area bit small for the size of hotel but would stay again.
