Sandway House

We stayed at Sandway House for 3 nights while visiting family. Peter and Tracey were very friendly hosts. Warm welcome on arrival and it was lovely to chat to them throughout our stay. We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite on the top floor which consisted of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. It was great to have this floor to ourselves, it felt very private. The rooms have a modern, homely feel to them. Plenty of tea, coffee, water and biscuits in the rooms. Rooms were very clean. We made good use of the parking at the rear of the property. Would highly recommend!

Very warm welcome from Peter and Tracey. We booked the two bedroom suite area at the top of the house. This consisted of a kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom with a shower room and toilet. There was a sink in each of the bedrooms. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated complete with tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. There was also a TV in the rooms. The beds were very comfortable, room temperature was good. Loved the hanging space for clothes and handy shelfs to put toiletry bag on. Bedrooms were at the back of the house so quiet. We were able to park our car a the rear of the property easily. It was just a short walk down the hill to the sea front and some nice places to eat and a costa. We will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, fresh decor, lovely couple who own this. Made to feel very welcome. Definitely stay again. Would recommend this hotel. Beach and harbour are in walking distance. Torquay is undergoing some regeneration so traffic in the town is a little slow.

Absolutely beautiful B&B. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds. All you can ask for. Thoughtful little touches in the room for Christmas when we first visited and for Valentine’s Day for our second visit. Pete and Tracey are so very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be coming back here to stay, and would 100% recommend

We booked Sandway House for my 40th birthday weekend. On arrival we had a lovely warm welcome from the owners. We had a double room at the front of the property which was beautifully decorated and immaculate, with tea and coffee facilities and fresh fluffy white towels. Beautiful little surprise of a lemon birthday cake in our room which was just lovely and went down a treat with a cup of tea. Fantastic choice at breakfast which you pre order the night before with a little form that's in your room. My partner had the full English on both mornings and couldn't fault the quality, I had poached eggs which again were amazing. Bed was super comfy and as a lady with fibromyalgia I had a really good sleep and woke feeling fresh. We managed to park directly outside, blue badge holders can park there 24/7 but there is additional parking behind the building. Overall a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend Sandway House :)

Well, not sure where to start. What a find!! This beautiful and well located property was immaculately clean and a short walk to the harbour. The owners Peter & Tracey were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I stayed for 2 wonderful nights with my 87yr old mother in law and we were all truly spoilt. Breakfast was outstanding especially Tracey’s home made granola and fruit pot…..absolutely delicious, which in essence, was a starter 😋. The full english was beautifully presented, locally produced and served up by a very personable Peter. We even returned to our room one afternoon to find a little gift bag outside the door with home baked vanilla cupcakes in it for us all. It’s kind little gestures like this which sets ‘The Sandway’ apart from other establishments. The bedrooms were individually designed, very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities. There was a lot of information in the room and hallway about the area, what to do, as well as local eateries and other useful information. Peter and Tracey are natural hosts whose attention to detail and future ideas are exciting. We want to keep this gem a secret, but the amount of business cards we picked up, I can’t see that happening! We will be back very soon. Thank you both again for a perfect mini break.

A really lovely bed and breakfast. We received a a great welcome on arrival. The rooms were modern, comfy and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of options, cooked fresh and delicious.

Sandway House is a "must" visit boutique B&B just a short walk away from the town Centre. Tracey & Pete greeted us with a warm welcome on a very wet day. The house is welcoming and stylishly decorated. We were a group of 3 and had the top floor which comprised of two rooms, one twin & one kingsize (or bigger as the bed was huge), both rooms had their own basins and there was also a separate shower room/toilet. Rooms are beautifully decorated, beds extremely comfortable & lovely fluffy white towels. There are tea / coffee facilities along with bottled water which always comes in handy. Everything was spotlessly clean. Sadly we didn't experience the breakfast this time as we ate "on the go" on our coastal walk from Torquay to Brixham but I'm sure it would have been exceptional. When we asked if we could pop a bottle of fizz into a fridge Tracey was more than happy to accommodate us and even went the extra mile by chilling us some glasses. we would like to thank Tracey & Pete for recommending a little detour to the beautiful village of Cockington to enjoy the Apple Fair.........a little hidden gem ! We would highly recommend visiting Sandway House.

warm welcome from lovely hosts Pete and Tracey. room was beautifully decorated and furnished with a very tasty lemon drizzle cake waiting on arrival, bed was comfortable. breakfast was very tasty made with local produce. cannot fault this guest house and would highly recommend it
