The Crown Boutique Hotel & Spa

The Crown is a fun little (like 10 rooms) hotel right in the heart of it all. Easy 3 minute walk to the square, the castle shops, and the friendship monument where many of the bus routes originate. The rooms were small to our American standards but very handsomely decorated. The whole hotel is very well decorated. The rooms were very clean on arrival, we got daily cleaning service but there no turndown which was fine with us. Good mini bar selection and each day they filled a little carafe of water for you. The restaurant was delicious for dinner (I’d recommend the tasting menu) and they have a great bar and wine selection if you just want drinks. There is ample indoor space and a small roof top. Our breakfast was included which is an ala cart menu that has tons of options. They also make delicious bacon, the best I’ve had in Europe, which I’ve found usually doesn’t do it well. They have a top notch professional service staff in the restaurant. Their hotel reservation system is a little less stream lined than Im accustomed and could possibly be improved, however a couple of quick emails and the room was booked. There was also a charge that was erroneously attributed to our room, it was quickly worked out. They have a small spa but we did not utilize so I can’t comment on that. All in all a great experience, I would recommend the crown to my friends!

Everything during our stay exceeded our expectations. From the attentive and helpful staff to the infrastructure of the hotel. The restaurant is gorgeous and the food was excellent. If you want a premium and exclusive experience in Tirana, you have to stay here.

The hotel is extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable. The service is up there with the elites of this field. Their goal is to make you feel like royalty and this is exactly how I felt. The service in the restaurant is BY FAR the best I have experienced in Albania. The amazing checklist based breakfast was served by the chef to our table. For dinner I recommend choosing the tasting menu. I thank chef Adi for the culinary experience as I note it 10/10 - he set the bar very high indeed. If the guide Michelin operated in Albania I am more than convinced that the restaurant at the Crown will be the first in to get its star. After dinner I took the opportunity to smoke a cigar in their incredibly modern and relaxing privé lounge. This is a boutique hotel that went the extra mile to also offer SPA services. If you are driving you can easily park your car at Toptani shopping centre private parking located just next to the hotel. In terms of location you can’t do better as the hotel is located right in the centre of Tirana. Overall, this was just a magnificent experience and as I said above for me they set the bar very high not just for hotels and restaurants in Albania but worldwide. I spend a great time there with my gf. Good looking Hotel small and cosy. Cleanness on the highest level, Big plus for that. Upstairs the best restaurant in whole Tirana! Amazing breakfasts, we love it! Nice staff was a pleasure to meet and talk. Only one minus. Door when closing make big noise. Really unpleasant specialy when your neighbours come back late at night.

The hotel enjoys a terrific location convenient for all main attractions in the city. The configuration of the hotel is quite unusual. There is just a narrow entrance lobby with reception. All the rooms, 9 in total are located on the first floor and the top floor is given up for the large restaurant and spa with further tables on the rooftop. Good reception on arrival. All the public areas are lavishly decorated, in fact the whole hotel is immaculate and spotlessly clean, this extends to the room itself which was similarly plush and well maintained. Very comfortable bed and while the room was quite small, it was perfectly adequate for a short stay. The small bathroom had a rain shower but unfortunately this did not work properly and it sprayed water around the entire cubicle and on the floor outside the shower but this was the only negative aspect about the room. Breakfast is an a la carte arrangement. You choose from an extensive menu list and the food is brought to your table. There is nothing to indicate if there is any limits on what you can order but we just stuck to the basics of omelette, salad, vegetables and fresh fruit. All the food was excellent quality but we would recommend going to the restaurant early particularly if you want to leave promptly as service is quite slow. Overall, we would stay here again. The concept is very good and it’s convenient location is a major plus.

The hotel is very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Service was great. Only minor issue is sometimes the room was hot other times cold, even though the thermostat was not touched, maybe it was just me having hot flashes. LOL as we boomers say. Would stay here again.
