Las Terrazas Hotel Boutique

The hotel was very quiet whilst we were there. There are only a few rooms and each is accessible from outside so you have no need to use the reception or other facilities necessarily. The rooms are large and spacious and have everything needed. Parking is a little awkward but available. Breakfast was ok - but not amazing. Highly recommended for the town it is in.

Comfortable room in delightful terraced garden surroundings. A good choice for couples wanting quality accommodation close to the town centre.

We stayed for 2-nights in late-Sep at Las Terrazas Hotel Boutique in Tilcara ($103 Can/night). The hotel, located off a dirt road in a quiet residential area 4-blocks from the central plaza, is nestled in a green wooded oasis at the base of the mountain. The hotel cascades down the slope in a series of terraces, the bottom terrace housing reception, one of the middle terraces with the small pool, and the upper terrace with the breakfast area. Our superior double room was spacious with a queen bed and side tables, table with 2 chairs, and a separate dressing area with a closet, shelves, mini-refrigerator, sink and vanity. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The room was fronted by a wide, gravel patio with a couple of chairs. Although we were on the lower-middle terrace, we still had a view around the trees of the mountains across the valley. From what we could see, the upper terrace rooms were also somewhat obstructed by the tall trees, so the terrace level didn't seem to matter much for the view, and the top levels required a bit of an arduous high altitude climb with luggage. The was a small infinity pool with views of the trees, but had only 4 loungers, and the water was cloudy, indicating poor maintenance. Breakfast was basic, ham, cheese, baked items, juices; there were eggs, but you had to know to ask for them, and there was mate tea to help cope with the altitude. The hotel had parking at the entrance, and in a lot to the side. While the hotel was beautifully designed and maintained, and our room was spacious and comfortable, it was the staff, and especially the lady at the front desk, who made our stay special. When the area lost power on the morning that we were leaving, it prevented us from getting vital information about our accommodation for that night. She went way beyond what we could have expected to help us and sent us on our way with everything we needed. Great customer service, great hospitality, and all at a very reasonable price. This is the place to stay in Tilcara!

Very atmospheric, beautifully designed hotel, built into hillside, making brilliant use of natural resources, much stonework and timber. Lovely breakfast room overlooking the mountain scenery. Recommended

Hola, nos hospedamos tres noches en enero de 2024. El hotel está muy bien, es muy buena la ubicación, tiene garaje para el auto, y las instalaciones son acordes a un hotel boutique. Nos tocó una habitación en la segunda planta al que se accede por una escalera cómoda. Cuando llegamos, no había aclarado que prefería una cama matrimonial y la habitación estaba preparada con dos camas. Pedimos si se podía solucionar, y en el mismo momento nos armaron la cama. En ese sentido, el personal es muy amable y eficiente. Las sábanas y las toallas muy buenas, el baño, también. El desayuno estaba super bien, servido por Leo que era muy amable, y nos daba recomendaciones muy atinadas para los paseos. No cenamos en el hotel pero porque elegimos pasear. Y como un gran detalle, nos olvidamos un cargador de celular y una semana después mandamos a alguien a buscarlo y por supuesto, el cargador estaba en recepción. Son detalles que muestran la calidad del hotel y de su personal. Volveríamos sin dudar.

El hotel es muy lindo, habitaciones confortables, baño grande. Los servicios incluidos están descriptos. Se sube por 3 escaleras, el desayuno es en el ultimo piso, hermosa vista. pileta pequeña para la cantidad de habitaciones, de todas maneras solo la utilice un rato, no había nadie.

El hotel es realmente encantador, con una estética rústica y serrana que se integra a la perfección con el entorno árido y colorido de la quebrada de Humahuaca. La calidad de los servicios es muy buena: atención, limpieza y mantenimiento, gastronomía, todo hacen que la experiencia en el lugar sea sumamente agradable. Cómo punto menos notable está dificultad en el acceso a Internet: la conexión no es buena en todo el hotel y la mala cobertura de las diferentes compañías de telefonía en la zona no ayuda a compensar esta deficiencia. Finalmente, la oferta gastronómica es excelente. El desayuno no es abundante, pero lo que se ofrece es de calidad, y la comida del restaurante -que sólo funciona de noche- también está a la altura.
