When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! Wir möchten uns für den guten Service und freundliche Empfang bei der Rezeption danken. Die Zimmer waren top und sehr schön, auch auf Ihrem Zimmer können Kaffee und Tee machen Es ist eine Freude, wenn Sie früh weggehen und trotzdem einen Kaffee trinken wollen. Parken vor der Tür ist wie eine Freude erfahren. Im Restaurantbar wurden die Getränke gut behandelt. Top und empfehlen für alle. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt sehr zufriedenstellend. Der Eingangsbereich ist ansprechend eingerichtet und die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst freundlich. Die Lage ist zentral, in nächster Nähe gibt es viele Cafés und Restaurants. Das 6-Bett-Zimmer war sauber und geräumig genug, sodass man seine Gepäckstücke abstellen kann und sich nicht in die Quere kommt. Das Bett und die Kissen waren komfortabel.

Aufgrund eines Konzerts waren wir für 1 Nacht im ”Van der Valk” untergebracht. An sich ein wirklich hübsches Hotel, welches sowohl von außen wie auch von innen sehr schön anzusehen ist. Das Zimmer war groß genug, das Badezimmer ein kleiner Hingucker und das Bett super bequem, die Aussicht toll - jedoch wurde hier nicht gestaubsaugt und das Waschbecken hätte etwas sauberer sein können (-1 Punkt). Personal spricht englisch und ist zuvorkommend. Den zweiten Minuspunkt gibt's hier für das hoteleigene Restaurant - meine beste Freundin und ich hatten beide dasselbe bestellt und waren beide sehr enttäuscht und verärgert. Wir haben 18,50 € für fertige (nicht selbstgemachte), geschmacklose Tortellini mit ein bisschen Spinat, haselnussgroße Tomaten und ein paar Pinienkerne bezahlt sowie 6,95 € für 1L Wasser. Bei diesem Preis und ”Hotel-Ambiente” (sehr schicki-micki) hätten wir *wirklich* besseres erwartet.

Ich habe vier Nächte mit meiner Frau und der erwachsenen Tochter hier geblieben. Wir fanden es sehr komfortabel und das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist von Wäldern und Seen umgeben. Neben dem Essen im Hotel haben wir mehrere der Restaurants in der Nähe des Hotels und in Oisterwijk versucht. Es gibt vieles zu sehen in der Nachbarschaft, wie Kasteel Nemelaer, wo wir leckere Haselnüsse oder die Loonse und Drunense Duinen Landschaft genossen haben, ein großes Gebiet von Sanddünen. Der Park lässt viel zu wünschen, aber sonst ist der angenehmen Urlaub.

Das ist ein wunderschönes Hotel - wunderbare Rezeption, Essen und Entspannungsbereiche - sehr luxuriös! Service war hervorragend. Frühstück war schmackvoll mit guten Wahlen und viel Sitz. Parken war kostenlos und gute Zahl von Plätzen. Das Zimmer war ein großes Abgeschlagen. Der gute Teil war das komfortable Bett und die gut ausgestalteten Wäscheschrank-/Kupferbereiche für Kleidung und Koffer. Der schlechte Teil war das Badezimmer - Haartrockner Kopf nicht mehr auf, Dusche Fuß nass nach der Dusche (aufgrund der Tür, die nur die Hälfte der Dusche bedeckt), Dusche Kopf waren etwas nutzlos für den Druck, Das Bad war nicht sauber und sah nicht aus, als hätte jemand es für eine Weile richtig gemacht (siehe Fotos). Eine große Enttäuschung angesichts des Rest des Hotels.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer super Lage und Umgebung. Super Ausstattung und Freundlichkeit. Die Fahrt zum Parkplatz Royal Main müsste etwas überarbeitet werden, da man dort gerne aufsetzt. Für mich persönlich dürften auch die Glastüren zum Bad ausgetauscht werden. Ansonsten alles Top!
