Schade, dass das Essen weit unter den Erwartungen blieb, die die Lage und die Sterne des Hotels erwarten ließen. Das Restaurant wirbt damit, dass sie lokale Produkte verwenden und diese dann mäglichst frisch und ohne unnötige Verarbeitung auf den Tisch bringen. Bei den Jacobsmuscheln war das jedoch klar nicht der Fall. Die kamen mit einer Sauce, die nach Dosenravioli geschmeckt hat und deren Geschmack nicht mehr erkennen ließ ob es sich bei den „Klümpchen“ in der Sauce um Jacobsmuscheln handelte oder nicht. Ungenießbar. Die anderen Gerichte (Avocado, Fisch und Tortilla mit ropa vieja) waren akzeptabel aber mehr auch nicht. Der Preis von 150,- für die genannten Gerichte und 2 Gläser Wein, Wasser und 1 Cocktail ohne Alkohol nicht angemessen. Wir würden dort nicht wieder essen. Für gutes Essen mit lokalen Produkten gibt es viel bessere Alternativen auf der Insel.

I had a memorable five day stay at the Cesar Lanzarote. I was greeted by charming staff and shown to a magnificent room with a large terrace overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and the sea. The food and service under the supervision of Christine and Olga was also excellent. Lanzarote is such an interesting Island and there are some terrific walks from the hotel over the surrounding volcanoes. I am very much looking forward to visiting their two recently opened hotels in Menorca!

Incredible from the beginning to the end. Amazing deco. Close to mostly everything. I will come back and I hardly recommend the hotel and the island. The restaurant really nice worth it to have lunch or diner. Breakfast top!!!! Front desk super helpful. Cool ambiance Hopefully u will enjoy as much as I did if u stay in this hotel.

Truly one of the most beautiful hotels I ever stayed at. Every corner is decorated with great taste in a style that mixes Manrique’s heritage with modern-day luxury and comfort. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, remembering our drinks orders and suggesting great local wines. The pool, the views and the room (with giant wooden bath tub) were splendid. The only minor points of criticism I can think of are the pillows, which were not entirely the quality one expects at a 5-star hotel, and the fact that the lunch and dinner menu at the restaurant are the same. Different menus would be a nice touch and provide more variation for those who spend multiple nights - especially for vegetarians like myself. In general, I highly recommend staying at Cesar Lanzarote if you’re looking for a stylish, relaxing and luxurious getaway. I hope to be back one day!

An amazing getaway that is still a short drive to town and the beach. A little oasis tucked up in the mountains. Quiet and tranquil with a beautiful view and pool. The room was large and comfortable, the bed we found a bit uncomfortable but it’s a personal preference. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about the area, the food and of course the wine. Great bar area and places to dine inside and out. The only drawback was the price of the drinks, three times what they were at a hotel we stayed at on the beach just days earlier. We would definitely stay again and buy drinks in town to enjoy on the patio.

Awful experience. We ringed the interphone to enter with the car for around 15 minutes, calling the hotel reception and not receiving any answers, being blocked outside in the car. When we explained the issue once they opened, the receptionist/manager told us that “there is no problem with the interphone”, without even apologizing or offering a drink. The service at the restaurant was pretty bad, they brought us the wrong menu, and asked us to order the dessert even before receiving the main course because “the kitchen is closing”, which, given that they left us outside, was pretty absurd. Quail was totally over cooked. We were incredibly disappointed, as the place was advertised as high end, but really nothing, neither the food nor the service were even close to be up to standard. The location is beautiful but really the experience is not worth it, especially for that price. Stay away!

We had a great couple days at Cesar Lanzarote! The staff and service were incredible and the property was gorgeous. We ordered a bottle of wine and watched the sunset from the sun beds. The wine selection is fantastic and their wine knowledge matches. I wish we spent another night!

Debbie was the shining star of the stay which is saying a lot because the entire place is perfect. Rooms are small but extremely functional. The decor is world class. The state of the art Lutron system has all the latest including bedside controls on both sides. Very well thought out hotel. Housekeeping was amazing. The offered to let us stay late to enjoy the pool as it was a nice day. Debbie really means it when she says ‘welcome home’

We just had a great 3 day stay at the hotel. Loved the privacy, relax and quality it offers. Very comfortable rooms, amazing views from different areas in the hotel, and plenty of spaces to relax, enjoy the different sea views or exercise. Specially enjoyed the long and lovely breakfasts (menu toasts are a must!) The restaurant has a surprisingly high level of fresh seafood and spanish cuisine. Absolutely loved it. Will be back for sure!
