Poovar Island Resort

Il y avait tout pour bien faire dans cet hôtel : emplacement de rêve, piscine très agréable (et chaude), nombreuses activités... On y accède par bateau et déjà une étrange aventure démarre : on me de***de mon numéro de chambre. J'explique que je ne suis pas encore dans l'hôtel (puisque j'arrive...). OK, on appelle le "***ager" depuis le bateau, qui me de***de... mon numéro de chambre ! La blague s'arrêtera là, sans énervement. L'enregistrement se fait sous 45 min car la chambre n'est pas prête (nous étions pourtant arrivés 1 heure après l'heure "légale"). Personnel peu avenant dans l'ensemble. Le restaurant est une catastrophe au niveau du service. Vous êtes captifs, car une ile, deux fois nous avons ***gé en deux temps : 3 convives avaient fini leur repas lorsque le dernier plat fut servi. La deuxième fois, nous avons même quitté la salle après une heure d'attente pour le dernier plat, plat qui nous sera servi dans la chambre 10 minutes plus tard avec de timides excuses. Plat qui sera bien entendu facturé, une blague ! Dans la journée, je prend l'activité tir à l'arc pour les enfants, c'est payant, soit, je valide. Après 5 flèches tirées par deux enfants qui découvrent ce sport et envoient leur flèches un peu au hasard, le type qui nous accompagne m'explique que c'est 5 flèches maxi ou sinon il faut repayer ! Il n'y a personne qui attend pour cette activité, les accompagnants sont rivés sur les smartphone. Les enfants sont évidemment déçus. Je de***de ensuite si l'on peut essayer le criquet, on me répond qu'il faut une caution (pour ne pas que je m'enfuie avec la batte ???). Je n'ai pas d'argent sur moi, nous quittons donc les lieux avec la moutarde me monte au nez... Bravo le Poovar Island, ça c'est une belle expérience pour les clients !!! La chambre est petite, avec une mini décharge sur le côté de l'entrée (papiers et gobelets jetés au sol et jamais ramassés la classe pour un 5 étoiles). Mention spéciale à la salle de bain, immense et immensément sale. La photo jointe au commentaire représente la vitre située au dessus de la baignoire. Dans l'ensemble, nous retiendrons de cet hôtel l'expérience la moins "guest friendly" de toute l'inde !

L’établissement est donné pour un Beach Resort, Mais un bateau est nécessaire pour se rendre à la plage et il faut souvent attendre ainsi que pour en revenir. Nous étions au centre ayurvédique où nous avons fait une cure dont j’attends les résultats. Nourriture végétarienne insipide. Chambres austères. En revanche, le personnel est char***t

We had good comfortable stay for 2 days in floating resort and land resort. The staff were friendly and the cleanliness was good. The pool was neat and clean. The timings of food and pool were on time. We had an overall good stay.

I stayed here for just one night when on a work trip to the area. firstly the location is just amazing..set on a isle between the sea and the backwaters it offers the best of both worlds. In fact you need to take a 20 mins boat ride thru the beautiful shimmering backwaters to reach the property. The property itself is well maintained with ***y categories of rooms..budget , mid range and the more expensive floating water villas. Room interiors and amenities are mostly the same across categories although the location and views varies within the property. Amenities wise, it offers a nice swimming pool, gym and ayurveda center, massage and spa center, and 3 restaurants on the property. Spacious with lawns and lots of walk ways offering views of the sea and backwaters. Last but not least, very pleasant staff always ready to help. Great luxury resort to spend a few nights in the peace and quiet of the Kerala countryside.

My son and I stayed for 2 days. Great place to spend the holidays. Excellent quality food. Very friendly and amazing staff. They never say no to anything. Live counder chef was very helpful. Thank you all.

Great place, atmosphere, energy, landscape - yes, everything here is magical. Cozy rooms, comfortable hotel space, food, staff, kitchen, swimming pools. The cultural program - like immersion in the traditions of India - is very colorful and beautiful. It is impossible to forget massages and Ayurvedic treatments - without this, acquaintance with India would be very limited. Special thanks to photographer Mike for a great mood and soulful photos, looking at which you want to return again and again. Великолепное место, атмосфера, энергетика, ландшафт,- да все здесь волшебно. Уютные комнаты, комфортное пространство отеля, еда, персонал, кухня, бассейны. Культурная программа - как погружение в традиции Индии - очень красочно и красиво. Невозможно забыть массажи и аюрведические процедуры - без этого знакомство с Индией было бы очень ограниченным. Отдельная благодарность фотографу Майку за прекрасное настроение и душевные фотографии, смотря на которые хочется возвращаться снова и снова.
