I stayed six nights at Moolmanshoek. I loved it! The horses are amazing and the landscape is out of this world! I loved the endurance with Wiesman: 30 km almost nonstop. Thank you so much Lindy for the marvellous rides too. The wildlife is diverse and I really enjoyed all the motion around me. The room was very peaceful and offered a beautiful view. The food was good. And the staff was so friendly and professional. A five star place. I will be back!

We had the most amazing experience at Moolmanshoek. Our son got married there and this place was incredible on all levels, nature, service and food. We loved every moment there and would highly recommend this as a venue and a weekend get away.

We stayed for two nights. The rooms were very comfortable and the family and staff extremely hospitable and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the game drive - there was much more to see in terms of fauna than we had expected. My wife and kids also went horse-riding and abseiling. We are hoping to go back.

Mafie and her team made our trip so special and we are super grateful for that. From booking to leaving everything was flawless. The staff was incredibly friendly and our game drive was just fabulous. The surrounding mountains, beautiful grass planes, and the magnificent horses felt like living in a touch of heaven. Definitely will return and a last thanks to Mafie who made our stay such a gem.

Wow! Where to start! Stress and worries got lost on the way to Moolanshoek. Upon arrival it felt like a big breath out as the beautiful nature just overwhelmed me. We were greeted by the friendliest receptionist who promptly checked us in and showed us our room and the facility. What really stood out was how we received full service in the lodge and restaurant, even being the only gusts on Friday evening. Staff was super professional and friendly. Had the most amazing strolls to the horses where my soul was refreshed even more ! And have to give compliments to the restaurant staff and the chef! What a jewel here in the Eastern Free State!!!! Didn't want to come home and will definitely visit again to earth and recharge

Absolute tranquility in the beautiful grasslands of the Eastern Free-State, between the mountains. A natural spring on the property allows for a frog choir at night. Eland and Zebra grazing on the grass lawn in front of your room. Dinner was a 3-course meal, excellently prepared by the chef. Breakfast was served on the stoep of the Manor House.

Ordinary rooms are very basic toilet and shower is inbuilt in the room like a closet. Break fast is the only charm, very limited options for lunch and dinner glad they allowed the barrai for us best fun if you love horses and ride

We had an amazing 3 night stay at Moolmanshoek, such a beautiful tranquil setting, with stunning game. we enjoyed hikes, horse rides (you get so close to the wildlife while on horse back :)), a night game drive and the most divine meals. I am a vegetarian and the chef went out of his way to create the best vegetarian meals ever for me. The breakfast was served on the patio with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains, the croissants and muffins were amazing. All the staff were phenomenal and went out of their way to make sure that we had a lovely stay there. My son hiked 47kms with Scouts through Moolmanshoek, the hike was challenging but they had an amazing time. There are different options of hikes to suit everyone's needs. We would definitely recommend Moolmanshoek to anyone wanting a few days break from City life. Can't wait to go back again soon :)

We had the best trails of our lives! We were very well received. The place is beautiful. We saw so many animals during the trails, swimming with the horses was an unforgettable expérience. Horses are very well trained and have very good tempérament and behaviour! The food was very good, we appreciated a lot the breakfast with the vue on the mountains! Thanks to all Moolmanshoek Team. We will come back as soon as we can!!
