A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Our family had a wonderful experience at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, and we left with nothing but gratitude and happy memories. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless and heartfelt — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a trip feel truly special. A huge thank you to Cecilia and Vinnie from the Guest Experience team, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and comfortable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcomed. A very special shout-out to Cecilia, who noticed my daughter’s love for Winnie the Pooh after our visit to Disneyland Resort. She prepared a beautiful card, a sweet message, and even a handmade Pooh origami and placed it in our room. It absolutely made our daughter’s day — such a thoughtful touch we will never forget. We also want to commend Yuki from the restaurant team for his warm and wonderful breakfast service each morning. His kindness and attention to detail set the perfect tone to start our day. The Ritz Kids adventure passport was a delightful surprise — engaging not only for our daughter but also enjoyable for us as parents. And of course, we loved the festive Christmas atmosphere, especially the beautiful Christmas tree and the amazing gingerbread house with the incredible aroma that filled the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt cared for, welcomed, and genuinely appreciated. We can’t wait to return again. Highly recommended for families and anyone seeking an unforgettable Kyoto stay.

Sehr bequem, geräumig und moderner Airbnb Aufenthalt. Die Einheit ist gut ausgestattet mit fast allem, was Sie brauchen, einschließlich einer Waschmaschine, Trockner, Kochgeräte, Grill-Stoff, Kaffeemaschine und andere nützliche Einrichtungen. Der Raum ist überraschend groß und sehr komfortabel, vor allem für Familien oder Gruppen. Die Lage ist auch großartig, mit einem Gemüsegeschäft, Restaurants und anderen Einrichtungen in der Nähe, die tägliche Bedürfnisse leicht zugänglich machen. Eines ist, dass es ein Friedhof direkt hinter dem Grundstück. Für Gäste, die sich auf diese empfinden, kann es etwas zu bedenken, bevor Sie buchen. Wenn dies Sie jedoch nicht stört, ist der Aufenthalt sonst hervorragend. Das einzige Problem, das wir getroffen haben, war beim Einchecken. Das ältere Front Desk Personal konnte nicht in Englisch kommunizieren und war ursprünglich nicht bereit, uns zu helfen. Obwohl unsere Buchung vollständig bezahlt und bestätigt wurde, mussten wir die Situation wiederholt erklären, bevor er endlich den Check-in-Code vorgelegt hat. Es schien, dass die Informationen bereits im System verfügbar waren, so dass der Prozess frustrierender war als notwendig. Alles andere als die Eincheck-Erfahrung war großartig. Insgesamt, ein komfortables, geräumiges und gut ausgestattetes Aufenthalt, das einen ausgezeichneten Wert für Geld bietet.

Unser Aufenthalt dort war ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Hotelzimmer war sehr schön, komfortabel und sauber. Die Ausstattung war super, besonders das private Onsen-Bad hat uns begeistert. Dank der freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Hotelangestellten verlief alles reibungslos.

Dieses luxuriöse Boutique-Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Liebe zum Detail ist beeindruckend. Jeder Aspekt des Gästeerlebnisses wurde durchdacht. Vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken fühlten wir uns wie VIPs. Das Zimmer war ebenso schön wie komfortabel. Das Essen im Geand Café war spektakulär. Perfekte Lage, mit mehreren Bussen, die direkt vor dem Hotel halten, was die Erkundung von Kyoto sehr bequem macht. Kurzer Spaziergang nach Gion und in andere interessante Gegenden. Der einzige Bereich, in dem Verbesserungen möglich wären, wäre eine größere Auswahl zum Frühstück. Es war ausgezeichnet, aber wir hätten uns zusätzliche Optionen gewünscht. Ich werde wiederkommen, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Kyoto bin!

Hotel is quite new and tastefully decorated. Room spacious and layout is functional. Dressing/ basin area rather dim, need to have brighter ( whiter ) light for make up etc. Location is very good, few minutes away from metro and walkable to the Hankyu train station, short distance away from the main shopping areas and plenty of good restaurants around. Breakfast area is quite cramped, food variety and taste are good, worth a try. 

The walk to the hotel is inconvenient if we have big luggages. The hotel room is old but we love the room space. With 3 beds, we have plenty of walking space. We enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The hotel staffs should proactively ask if we are member of its hotel group. We bought souvenirs and forgot to show our member to get a discount.

Everything was good except the service in hotel restaurants, which was exceptionally bad: 1) breakfast: waited for food for 40 mins, reminded the server 2 times - still nothing; 2) bar: a too long wait for a cocktail. the server said that as apology said cocktail won’t be in included in the bill… but it was there; 3) afternoon tea: told the staff that I dislike dairy products, but have no allergy. So, for example I can eat most sweets, but not the ones with a strong taste of mascarpone cream. In the end they gave me just a plate of fruit and when I remninded them of the above they… did nothing ) I stayed at this hotel and had afternoon tea there last year too - everything was fine then. All of the above are 3 different restaurants inside the hotel, so I wouldn’t recommend going to any restaurant there. In all other aspects except services related to food the hotel is good.

Everything was superb with the one exception, for an onsen hotel that have one of the selling point, in room onsen bath, the water was just regular hot water, why would I need to stay at an onsen hotel with in room onsen bath if any bathtub with hot water would do? Trip.com site did not specify that it wasn’t hot spring water. But luckily there was a better room with actual hot spring water supplied to the room available for upgrade, so I spent the extra to make my stay absolutely perfectly memorable.

My favorite hotel I've ever stayed at before. Had more services than I've ever seen at a hotel before. The only issue I had was there was no hot water the day I stayed there. Had to use another facility to take a shower. Luckily the hot water was back by 11 PM that day. But, I enyoyed the private bath and the spa a lot. I also really like the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of the hotel. If I visit Kyoto again I'm going to book another stay at this hotel!

Zuerst die Empfehlung: Das Zimmer ist sehr empfehlenswert, aber nicht mit Frühstück. Das Zimmer ist voll 💯: Die Tür des Hotels ist sehr klein, es ist sehr unauffällig und sogar leicht zu verpassen in der Kioto-Schlange. Aber nach dem Eingang der Unerwarteten fand ich das Innere sehr groß, sehr neu, das Zimmer war überraschend, der ungewöhnliche Raum im japanischen Hotel, die Einrichtungen sind auch großartig, das Badezimmer ist besonders gut, alle Einrichtungen sollten vollständig sein. Dienstpersonal: Der Service ist auch sehr gut, es gibt chinesische Mitarbeiter in besonderer Weise. Das einzige Unzufriedenheit ist das Frühstück: japanische Yen 6050 ein japanisches Essen, das ich sehr erwartet hatte, aber das Ergebnis war sehr enttäuscht. Am ersten Tag fand ich, dass Reis sehr lecker war, es war offensichtlich viel Wasser beim Reiszubereiten, es gab Stellungnahmen, lebte so alt, dass Reis ein Muster oder bekannt sein sollte, Das Ergebnis war am nächsten Tag noch nicht verändert, und es gab nicht viele Veränderungen in den Gerichten, nur ein kleiner Sandfisch in einen kleineren Pferdfisch zu wechseln, und die Früchte in zwei Liter Trauben in zwei Liter Sahne oder Frucht? Die Reichtum der Gerichte ist nicht wert.
