JJackyDie Lage des Hotels ist großartig, die Teigflosse ist außerhalb des Fensters, die Flussflosse ist sehr gut gepflückt, Mizuki ist besonders lecker, zwei Abendessen aufeinanderfolgend haben sich nicht erfreut, der Service und die Hygiene dürfen nicht gesagt werden, es gibt keine Teigpunkte außer den teuren Preisen der Teigflosse.

GGastnutzerIch finde, dieses Hotel ist eher eine High-End-Version von Atour
Erstens ist die Lage großartig, direkt vor dem Bahnhof Kyoto, sehr praktisch
Zweitens ist das Design des Hotels relativ neu und in vielerlei Hinsicht relativ modern, aber ich persönlich finde, dass viele der harten Dekorationen nicht aus besonders guten Materialien bestehen. Es ist ein bisschen wie eine High-End-Version von Atour. Die Raumgestaltung ist sehr schlicht und vollfunktional. Das iPad steuert zwar die Beleuchtung, die Klimaanlage und die Vorhänge, aber tatsächlich sind einige Details bei genauerem Hinsehen nicht besonders gut gelungen. Beispielsweise ist der Wasserhahn am Waschbecken etwas hoch und der Wasserauslass etwas ungünstig. Beim Händewaschen kann es leicht passieren, dass Wasser auf das Waschbecken spritzt. Der Duschhahn lässt sich nach links und rechts drehen, aber in der Mitte ist kein deutliches Pada-Gefühl zu spüren. Es liegt ganz bei Ihnen, es in die Mitte zu drehen. Es ist so, eigentlich kein großes Problem~
Übrigens vermittelte mir die Rezeption dieses Hotels ein vollkommenes Gefühl japanischer Entfremdung. Ihre Einstellung ist gut, aber man spürt deutlich, dass sie nur höflich sind. Es unterscheidet sich offensichtlich von anderen japanischen Diensten. Und es gibt mehr als eine Person. Dies ist uns während unseres Aufenthaltes begegnet. Es ist unglaublich~
Alles in allem ist es wie ein Aufenthalt in einem japanischen Atour-Hotel, entspricht aber nicht dem japanischen 4-Sterne-Standard.

IIRADAThough the hotel itself is good (I’m staying here for a second time), this time the service was awful.1) went to breakfast, me and my friend ordered 2 dishes, when in 20 mins time there still was nothing, we reminded a waitress of our order… another 20 mins - still nothing. All in all we spent 40 mins at the breakfast restaurant and didn’t get our food. When we explained this to the hostess she just said “sorry” and we left the restaurant hungry. 2) ordered afternoon tea for 3 persons (afternoon tea is served at another restaurant at the hotel). 2 normal sets and 1 for a person who doesn’t like dairy products. That person is me. I explained that I have no allergy, I just don’t like the taste of milk, cheese, et cetera. So I’m fine with bread and with sweets, just not the ones that have cheese on top. In the end instead of the sweets they brought me a fruit platter (that’s all, my friends got a lot of different sweets), when I again explained to the hostess that I’m fine with sweets (sweet bread) and would like to eat the sweets included in the afternoon tea set she just said that they “prepared smth else” for me (she meant the fruit platter). No apology no anything. Mind you, I ordered afternoon tea last year at this same place - everything was alright! As this is a 5 star hotel and everything here is rather expensive (including breakfast and afternoon tea) this is unacceptable level if service.

XXiaomai935Die beste Wahl für meine Reise nach Kyoto während der Maifeiertage ist, in diesem Hotel zu übernachten. Die Lage ist sehr gut, direkt neben Kyoto Takashimaya. Es ist sehr praktisch, um zu essen, einzukaufen und verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen Etwa 6 Minuten zu Fuß nach Kamogawa und zum Bahnhof Kyoto. Die Fahrt mit dem Taxi kostete etwa 1.300 Yen. Da ich nicht rechtzeitig das gleiche Familienvierbettzimmer buchen konnte, hat mir das Hotel ein Upgrade gegeben In Verbindung mit der sauberen Umgebung war unsere Reise voller Überraschungen. Ich werde dieses Hotel wieder wählen, wenn ich nach Kyoto komme.

MMy WanderlistIch hatte einen ausgezeichneten Aufenthalt im Fauchon. Vom Moment unserer Ankunft an wurden wir mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft begrüßt. Das Hotelpersonal war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts unglaublich aufmerksam und höflich.
Mein Zimmer war klein, aber komfortabel und mit modernen und luxuriösen Annehmlichkeiten in stilvollem Rosa und bequemer Bettwäsche ausgestattet. Die Liebe zum Detail im Zimmer war beeindruckend, mit durchdachten Details, darunter eine ganze Reihe kostenloser Kekse und Kuchen. Das Frühstück wurde als Menü serviert und die Auswahl war begrenzt und einfach, aber fachmännisch zubereitet und präsentiert.
Die Lage des Hotels war für mich auch perfekt, da es mitten im Herzen von Kyoto liegt und dennoch abseits der überfüllten Orte mit hervorragender Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel, der nächste Bahnhof ist etwa 10 Gehminuten entfernt und das Hotel ist etwa 15 Gehminuten von der Kawaramachi-Straße (Einkaufsviertel) entfernt. Direkt hinter unserem Hotel befinden sich der Fluss und alle Restaurants. Unser Zimmer bietet Bergblick.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard.
However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements:
1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue.
2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition.
3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience.
4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated.
5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space.
6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering.
In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction.
If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards.

GGastnutzerI quite like this resort. They are very near a train station and the bamboo forest. There’s free amenities like comb, cotton etc. Drinks machine provided at the lobby which is a great touch from the resort to the customers. Love their private onsen bath. They have 5 different private onsen bath rooms and most of the time it is available. We opted for breakfast and dinner and it was a great decision. It changes everyday. For dinner it’s like a semi buffet, you can order the tempura free flow. They provide ramen for supper. Overall I will recommend this hotel and will come back if there’s another chance.

KKC333We loved our stay at Hotel the Mitsui. Super nice and zen design . Absolutely adore their lobby area, which I think is designed by Andre Fu. Always drawn into his work somehow.
Breakfast food was okay, but the view really made up everything l. Super relaxing & beautiful
Service was great. Most of them were able to speak English proficiently.
There’s a thermal spring at their basement, which you have to call the reception before you go to ensure there’s enough space. Everything was well prepared, including swimwear, disposable underpants, towels, water, etc. Since they control the # of people, everyone has their own space and it still feels very private.
Room is nice with many details. Love their huge selection of pillows available for guests. It’s not huge, but the space is well used.
Location wise, I wouldn’t say it’s the most convenient, but if you take a cab, everything is reachable in 20 mins max, so it’s not too bad. There are still good restaurants and touristy places to go that are in walkable distance, so it’s not middle of nowhere.
Overall, fantastic experience which I will recommend for others!
