Great Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through. Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used. Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.

Aufgrund des Hurrikan Beryl war das ursprünglich reservierte Hotel aus der Stromversorgung. Wir riefen Marriot und sie bestätigten, dass alles dort OK war. Das Hotel wurde am Flughafen geschlossen, nur wenige Minuten von der U-Bahn entfernt. Das Zimmer war sauber. Wir hatten einen guten Schlaf nach dem 14-hour Flug. Frühstück OK.

I don’t know why this hotel has so many bad reviews. I just stayed here with my toddler and it was perfect for us. It was very clean. The rooms were a great size and the location was perfect. The room was decorated so cute. We loved it. The only negative thing I will say was that the elevator was very slow and only one of them weren’t. But other than that, I would definitely stay at Rusk house again

Had our ”booked hotel” tell us upon arrival that they were closed due to still not having power restored post Beryl. They just did not notify us until we got to facility. So, that forced us to try and find a room for 3 immediately. Le meridien came to the rescue and had a very nice double queen room available. The place is beautiful staff was extremely nice and helpful: from the valet to front desk check in!

Es war ein großes und schönes Hotel. Ich wartete darauf, weil es ein Innenpool gab, aber ich habe es nicht verwendet, weil die Wasserqualität nicht sehr gut war. Sporteinrichtungen sind gut.

Meine Erfahrung hier bei The Sam ist immer erstaunlich. Das Personal ist sehr willkommen, wissensfähig, und sie nehmen die Zeit, dich zu kennen. Wenn ich hierbleibe, fühle ich mich, als würde ich nicht einmal nach einem Wochenende oder einer Nacht hier verlassen wollen. Die Einrichtungen sind sauber und sehr betriebsfähig. Alles in allem für meine Frau und ich geben wir diesem Platz ein 10/10. Ich buche das gleiche Zimmer jedes Mal, wenn wir weggehen wollen, und für diese Urlaubszeit haben wir beschlossen, die Kinder zu entkommen und uns zu genießen!

This was a little gem right in downtown Houston. Very close to discovery green for restaurants and 10 mins walk from Minute Maid Stadium to watch the Astro's. Very clean, spacious and lovely facilities. Breakfast also fresh and plentiful. Who knew grits are so tasty?! :D Would definitely book this hotel again if I have to head to Houston for work again.

The overall stay was ok. However the bar being closed over the Weekend was very poor. Pool closed because of seasonal issue. There were hardly any staff members around for any assistance. WiFi was there but not explained anywhere. I now understand why President Trimp wants to change the water pressure for showers. That should be called a rain mist washing facility, not really a shower. Once in a while the elevator did not work. The price was ok. It was generally very quiet. I would come again. Just would nor expect anything extraordinary.
