I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Baibale and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting the Lancang area. The facilities were excellent—everything was clean, comfortable, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. After long days of cycling, it was the perfect place to rest and recover. One detail I especially appreciated was the generous standard checkout time of 2:00 PM, which made departure much more relaxed than at most hotels. The included breakfast and lunch were both fantastic. The food was fresh, delicious, and gave me a great opportunity to enjoy local flavors without having to rush out to find a meal. What truly sets Baibale apart, however, is the staff. I was bikepacking across China and later flying onward, and they went far above and beyond to help me throughout my stay. Whether it was assisting with logistics, answering questions, or simply taking the time to make sure everything was going smoothly, they consistently showed genuine kindness and hospitality. One of my favorite parts of my stay was spending time talking with the staff about the different local teas. They were incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share their passion, making the experience feel much more personal than just staying at a hotel. Those conversations, along with all of their other thoughtful help, made my time in Lancang especially memorable. If you’re staying in the Lancang area, Baibale is a place you shouldn’t miss. Between the excellent facilities, great food, generous checkout time, and some of the warmest, most attentive hospitality I’ve experienced anywhere, it was easily one of the highlights of my trip across China.

Spezial: der große Schwimmbad, selten in Yunnan in einem Hotel. Die Balkone der Zimmer sind eine schöne Idee, aber in der Realität wenige Verwendung.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geräumig, und die Verpflegung mit drei Mahlzeiten täglich bot ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, half bereitwillig mit dem Gepäck und achtete sehr darauf, Unfälle zu vermeiden. Im Restaurant boten mir die Mitarbeiter sogar Haargummis an, als sie meine langen Haare bemerkten – eine sehr nette Geste. Frühstück und Mittagessen waren ernährungsphysiologisch ausgewogen und entsprachen genau meinem Geschmack. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel ist wirklich fantastisch, vor allem für eine kleine Stadt wie Pu’er. Von dem Zeitpunkt an war das Rezeptionpersonal unglaublich warm und hilfreich. Die Dame am Frontbüro war sehr aufpassend, um sicherzustellen, dass wir den richtigen Raum erhalten, bevor wir unsere Eincheckung abgeschlossen haben, was für uns viel bedeutete. Als jemand mit Allergien, der in China reist, ist es sehr wichtig, ein garantiert nicht rauchendes und sauberes Zimmer zu haben. Viele Hotels in kleineren Städten lassen noch Rauchen zu, so dass wir wirklich geschätzt haben, wie gründlich dieses Hotel eine rauchfreie und spotless Umgebung von oben bis hinten aufrechterhält. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet, das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Zimmer ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer und das Toilette waren sauber und trocken. When I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

Fantastisches Hotel in einer fantastischen Lage. Muss eines der besten Hotels sein, die ich in China geblieben habe. Der Preis ist sehr vernünftig für die Qualität des Hotels. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und das Bett sehr komfortabel. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet mit einer großen Auswahl an frisch gekochten Lebensmitteln. Frische Nüsse, Brioche Brot und frische Eier waren meine Lieblingsfrau. Außerdem gab es viele andere Lebensmitteloptionen. Das frische Brot zum Kaffee im Rezeption war hervorragend mit einem schönen Cappuccino mit frischem Milch. Nicht oft bekommen Sie diese Wahl in chinesischen Hotels. Wenn Sie in Pu'er sind, finden Sie es schwer, ein besseres Hotel für das Geld zu finden, mit allen Einrichtungen und so nah an der alten Stadt Simao. 10 von 10.

Very good stay at Lantingyuan Hotel. The hotel is new and has a modern elegant design, with spacious common areas. The furniture is tasteful and focused on tea style. Also a tea showroom space (open for selling goods) Service and responsiveness: - The staff promptly accommodated requests for two additional pillows. - We requested a quiet room away from the elevator, which was arranged successfully. Room and amenities: - The room features a thoughtful layout, with a separated shower and toilet. - The view is striking in the evenings, especially with the colorful LED lights from the neighboring hotel building. - Clean room Check-in and dining: - Check-in was fast. - We were offered one breakfast for two people for free during our two-night stay. - Free ice cream in the hall was a pleasant surprise. Minor drawback: - The minibar/fridge is not present, which is common in some hotels in China. Overall impression: - A very good stay with attentive staff and a strong design-forward vibe. Would consider returning for future visits.

Dieses B&B wurde im Juli 2025 renoviert, aber es gibt online nur sehr wenige Informationen, sodass wir es bei der Buchung nicht finden konnten. Wir sind zufällig darauf gestoßen, als wir die Straße am Jingmai-Berg entlang schlenderten, und fanden es ein schönes Hotel. Wir haben uns sofort verliebt und beschlossen zu bleiben. Der Manager war freundlich und professionell, das Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und hell, und die Aussicht vom Restaurant war besonders atemberaubend. Man kann im Nebel frühstücken und dabei das vorbeiziehende Wolkenmeer beobachten. Das Essen im Restaurant ist auch köstlich!
