GGastnutzerWhere to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

GGastnutzerDas Zimmer ist klein, das Fenster ist gegenüber dem Fenster des Gegenteils des Gebäudes; das Bett ist schlecht bequem, die Klimaanlage startet die Kälte zu gegebener Zeit sehr groß und der Wind ist sehr groß; die Service-Personalstellung ist großartig und komfortabel; es kann wieder kommen. Das Zimmer ist klein, und das gegenüberliegende Fenster ist das Fenster des gegenüberliegenden Gebäudes; der Komfort des Bettes ist schlecht, der Klimaanlage ist laut und der Wind ist auch laut; die Einstellung des Servicepersonals ist groß, was die Menschen bequem fühlt; Ich kann wiederkommen.

SSandra MacauDieses Hotel wurde letzte Minute reserviert, da wir eine Nacht in der Stadt zu bleiben und es war wirklich erstaunlich! Dieses Hotel würde ich sicher zurückgehen!
Die Dame am Rechner war sehr nett und sprach Portugiesisch! Sie war wirklich froh, mit uns in Portugiesisch zu sprechen, und wir waren froh, dass sie Portugiesisch sprach!
Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich gut, in der Nähe des Parlaments, und das Zimmer war erstaunlich! Echt groß und geräumig Studio mit Küche und Wohnzimmer. Bett war wirklich komfortabel, aber das Sofabett war nicht so gut (wie in allen Hotels).
Die Toilette war groß und hatte alle Ausstattung.
Frühstück war gut und hatte Eier, Bacon, Obst, Getreide, frische Waffeln, Chia Pudding, Brot, ...
Sie haben private Parkplätze zu einem zusätzlichen Gebühren, aber der Eingang ist wirklich eng. Es gibt auch Straßenparkplätze um eine Gebühr.

Die Lage ist nicht schlecht, sehr nahe der Universität von Xiaohua, nicht weit von einigen kleinen chinesischen Restaurants (das kann auf der Karte gesucht werden) ist sehr klein, der Parkplatz ist klein und zahlt 🥲 Aber Trip.com ist sehr gut, weil sie keine Schreibinformationen über die Buchung und die Parkgebühr kostenlos schreiben, Also, um mich zu entschuldigen, habe ich mir zwei Tage vollen Parkgebühren gezahlt, Trip.com, das Beispiel der chinesischen Reiseapp!

PpsushkoWe stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel the night before our wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, just what we needed before the big day. The valet service was quick and efficient, though it’s good to know there is a $44 charge per night. Overall, everything felt smooth and well taken care of, and we’re glad we chose to stay there for such a special moment.

However, I would like to highlight a couple of areas where practicality could be improved:
• Study Table Placement: The study/work desk is positioned directly beneath the wall-mounted TV. This setup is not practical, as it places the guest in a position where they are working directly in front of a screen that may be distracting. It would be more functional to have the desk in a location that supports focus and productivity without unnecessary interference.
• Coffee Cup and Saucer Mismatch: The coffee cup provided has a round base, while the saucer has a square design that does not accommodate the cup securely. This mismatch not only affects usability but also detracts from the overall attention to detail expected at this level of hospitality.
• Bathroom Dustbin Design: The dustbin in the bathroom does not have a foot pedal for hands-free operation. Guests are required to bend down and lift the lid manually, which is inconvenient and unhygienic. A foot-pedal bin would be a more user-friendly option.
• Lack of Proper Kettle for Tea Drinkers: As tea drinkers, we found it inconvenient to boil water using the coffee machine. The water has a noticeable coffee taste and smell, which affects the flavor of the tea. A small electric kettle in each room would be a simple but impactful addition to cater to all beverage preferences.

KKnattisehr gutes Hotel, sehr sauber und freundliches Personal, Parkgebühren auch ok mit 23$ für 24h man kann aber auch ein Parkticket an der Rezeption bekommen, wenn man öfter am Tag mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, sonst zählt jedesmal 23$, Preis-Leistung absolut empfehlenswert

GGastnutzerA short walk from Parliament Station, the Sheraton gave us a spacious room. However, there was no kettle to boil water for tea - we used the coffee maker instead. There was some kind of problem with the pipes in the wall, meaning a shopvac had to be left running in the hallway outside our room 24hr/d. The carpet in our closet next to the bathroom was always soaked, probably because of the problem.
Perhaps because it was near Centretown, we had one or two homeless or disturbed people on the sidewalks near the hotel. This made it uncomfortable for me to approach with my children because of their random mutterings and throwing of drink bottles. However this only happened twice during our weeklong stay.
Staff were very friendly, nice and helpful, and sharply dressed.
