GGastnutzerEverything was great specifically the girl at the front desk was awesome, she helped us when we had a problem with the door lock of our room, we tried everything but could not open it I guess the battery was dead. She was very helpful, whenever I would visit Ottawa I would definitely like to stay at the same hotel. Her name is Navneet I want to give her 10 stars, thanks Navneet.

The bathrooms are beautiful, very clean, and well-appointed, as are the rooms themselves.
Very pleased and will stay here again when my travels take me through this area once more.

GGastnutzerThe room presents a modern design with a pleasant ambiance, and overall, it is very clean and comfortable. As expected of a 4-star hotel standard that should be met.
However, I would like to highlight a couple of areas where practicality could be improved:
• Study Table Placement: The study/work desk is positioned directly beneath the wall-mounted TV. This setup is not practical, as it places the guest in a position where they are working directly in front of a screen that may be distracting. It would be more functional to have the desk in a location that supports focus and productivity without unnecessary interference.
• Coffee Cup and Saucer Mismatch: The coffee cup provided has a round base, while the saucer has a square design that does not accommodate the cup securely. This mismatch not only affects usability but also detracts from the overall attention to detail expected at this level of hospitality.
• Bathroom Dustbin Design: The dustbin in the bathroom does not have a foot pedal for hands-free operation. Guests are required to bend down and lift the lid manually, which is inconvenient and unhygienic. A foot-pedal bin would be a more user-friendly option.
• Lack of Proper Kettle for Tea Drinkers: As tea drinkers, we found it inconvenient to boil water using the coffee machine. The water has a noticeable coffee taste and smell, which affects the flavor of the tea. A small electric kettle in each room would be a simple but impactful addition to cater to all beverage preferences.

GGastnutzerWhere to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

AAlicia York-BirdIch hatte von Glö mehr erwartet als ich bekam. Ich habe Glö als ”Behandlung” für ein paar Getaway gewählt, da es ein neueres Hotel war und es scheint, dass es schnacker als der übliche Preis sein würde.
Pros: Das Badezimmer war sehr schön, und die komplimentären Toiletten sind Top-Noch. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Die Matratze war sehr komfortabel und der TV war eine anständige Größe.
Kons: Die Zimmer sind unglaublich klein, und während sie schön eingerichtet sind, war der kleine ”Schlaf” Sitz mehr Form als Funktion (d. h. schöner als es bequem war). Das Personal des Front-Desk sah sehr neu und kluger aus, was die grundlegenden Gastfreundschaftselemente, wie wie das Innen-TV zu arbeiten. Es dauerte auch Zeit für eine Antwort des Front-Desk auf wie das TV zu arbeiten und das Problem wurde nicht einmal gelöst.
Ich werde wahrscheinlich nicht mehr hier bleiben und empfehle dieses Hotel an jemanden, den ich kenne, da es so viele Hotels gibt, aus denen man in Kanata wählen kann, die bessere, bessere Service und bessere Preisgestaltung bieten.

PPhoebeeeCSafety: It’s next to a safe injection shelter, so no matter morning or night — be careful don’t walk alone! People are sitting/walking/wandering around the area which somewhat scared me.
Parking: They DO NOT have enough parking, when I was there to check in at around 4, I was told parking was full. I need to park somewhere else. They recommend me to a nearby parking (which looks cringy — and people said cars got broken in last week) My car wasn’t a luxurious car so I was lucky I guess.
Breakfast: It can get really crowded during breakfast time. Not enough seating. Food was okay though!
