Wellnesshotels in Colombo

Kingsbury hotel is in a prime location closer to the beach activities. Some rooms are with sea view. Shopping mall is nearby that offers variety of shops and services. Restaurants provide wide selection of food options with local and international cuisines. The rooms are carpeted which emits old odour. The room furniture needs modernising. We experienced issues with booking. They couldn’t find our booking and gave us a room in a lower floor and the furnitures were old with smelly carpet. On my complaint, we were upgraded to a suite room in a higher floor which was classy and the view was excellent. Don’t know I can afford to stay in a suite. The staffs were helpful. I didn’t have a chance to use all amenities but I noticed there were many options. I will stay again if I am given a room in a higher floor or if I can afford a suite room.

Zunächst einmal war das Frühstück sehr gut. Es gab allerlei lokale Spezialitäten, die ich vorher noch nie gesehen hatte. Zweitens war der männliche Rezeptionist mit Brille sehr freundlich! Er gab mir viele Tipps für die Umgebung und half mir, die Lärmbelästigung durch die Nachbarn zu regeln. Die Rezeptionistin hingegen war wenig hilfsbereit und ziemlich stur. Der männliche Mitarbeiter hatte mir beim Einchecken aufgrund meines Mitternachtsflugs einen verlängerten Check-out zugesagt, die Rezeptionistin lehnte dies aber später ab. Nachdem ich ihr erklärt hatte, was mir der männliche Mitarbeiter versprochen hatte, gewährte sie mir lediglich einen zweistündigen verlängerten Check-out. Es ist wichtig, dass alle Mitarbeiter den Gästen einheitliche Informationen geben.

Das Zimmer war recht groß und geräumig. Die größten Nachteile waren die mangelhafte Schalldämmung und die zu niedrigen, weichen und unbequemen Kissen. Das Frühstücksangebot war im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in Colombo ordentlich. Die Lobby war sehr repräsentativ und der Service hervorragend.

I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

Das Doppelzimmer war nur für eine Person ausgestattet. Ich habe mehrmals den Zimmerservice kontaktiert, aber niemand kam. Die Toilette schien auch schlecht belüftet zu sein (ich konnte keine Belüftung finden). Das Hotel ist neu, aber der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig; die Mitarbeiter waren jedoch sehr freundlich.

Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind vollständig und das Restaurant ist großartig! Es ist nur westliches Essen. Im Umkreis von einem Kilometer um die Umgebung gibt es ein kantonesisches Restaurant, das von einem Nordostbewohner eröffnet wurde. Die Dekoration und der Geschmack sind gut und der Preis ist erschwinglich. Es gehört zur Innenstadt und bietet eine gute Verkehrsanbindung! Uber ist so praktisch, Sri Lanka ist ein großartiger Ort zum Reisen

It is impossible to cook on the stove, there is no microwave. - The furniture in the living room has an unpleasant smell and is dirty; - The iron board is dirty; - The curtains need to be changed; Reception: + They are polite; + Check-in was quickly; Restaurant (breakfast and dinner): + The quality of the products is high; + Variety of dishes; + The chefs are great; - There are a lot of guests on Saturday and Sunday due to the holidays, the priority for hotel guests is falling; Guards and butlers: + They seemed competent and friendly to me; + The rest of the staff are friendly and polite; Swimming pool: + Good view; + The kids liked it;

Ein wunderbares Hotel, ehemals ein Mövenpick, daher sind die Zimmer groß, im Schweizer Stil gehalten und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Bügeleisen mit Bügelbrett, Wasserkocher und kostenloser Tee. Alle notwendigen Accessoires für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt. Manche Leute könnten sich über die leere Minibar ärgern, aber für mich ist es eher ein Plus 😉 Das Frühstück war das beste, das ich in Sri Lanka hatte. Eine Vielzahl von Gerichten, eine gute europäische Küche, es gibt auch lokale, indische und arabische Küche. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer ist atemberaubend. Die Nachteile sind der ohnehin schon abgenutzte Loungebereich am Pool und die Anwesenheit von Personen, die Sie im Bikini filmen, ohne dass dazu irgendwelche Kommentare abgegeben werden. Es gibt keine Bademäntel im Zimmer, aber wir blieben eine Nacht, also ist das nicht kritisch.

Excellentw location next to many great restaurants including Chilax. Nice uninterrupted view of the Indian ocean. Good aircon and ample hot water in the bathroom. Good WiFi throughout. It’s a bit loud from the passing trains even after the windows are closed. Rooftop view of the Indian ocean is really relaxing. Staff is nice and relaxed. We recommend.

Das Hotel war wohl einmal wunderschön, jetzt ist es einfach nicht schlecht. Die Möbel sind alt, die Wände schäbig, manche Dinge (wie Schalter) könnten gründlicher abgewischt werden. Insgesamt waren die Eindrücke jedoch positiv. Das Frühstück ist herzhaft, das Bett und die Liegefläche sind bequem, der Pool ist einfach traumhaft. Zwar kommen am Wochenende Einheimische zum Schwimmen, gegen Aufpreis. Und unter der Woche ist es ruhig und still, man kann sehr lange auf sein Getränk vom Mitarbeiter warten. Neben dem Hotel verläuft eine Bahnlinie, Züge fahren den ganzen Tag, tagsüber bekommt man kaum Schlaf, aber nachts fahren keine Züge, nichts stört den Schlaf.
