Zunächst waren wir in einem großen Doppelzimmer untergebracht, was man tatsächlich als Suite bezeichnet hatte. Völlig verdreckt und das Badezimmer nur nach Volldesinfektion nutzbar! Die Dusche läuft nicht ab, die Teppiche rochen streng und wir froren fürchterlich, da dass Heizungssystem nicht funktioniert! Nach Lösung des Zimmerproblems in ein moderneres Zimmer nach etlichen Vorsprachen an der Rezeption bleibt konsequent das Problem eines völlig inakzeptablen Housekeein dieser Hotelkategorie- man hat ständig das Gefühl, das Personal nerven zu müssen. Wir wissen alle, dass due Bonvoy Mariott Group alles dafür tut, ihre Shareholder glücklich zumachen mit höchsten Renditen- so bleibt natürlich nur das konsequente Schleifen des Personals (die wirklich, bi auf wenige Ausnahmen ) immer wie die Feuerwehr die Brände zu löschen, die in einem 5 Sterne Haus nicht vorkommen dürfen! Spa- und Wellness Bereich sind unbenutzbar und der Fitnessraum ist eher eine Abstellkammer für alte Sportgeräte! Das Frühstück ist jedoch das allerschlimmste, was mir in all der Zeit; in denen ich hochklassigen Hotels besuche, untergekommen ist- Zucker, Zucker und nochmals Zucker, frische Lebensmittel sind schon in einem Zustand in dem man sehr genau nachdenkt sich das anzutun! Personal, das während des „Auffüllens“ des sogenannten Buffet sich in der Base herum fummelt gibt einem dann den Rest, was selbst die imposante Architektur noch zu überdecken versuchte! Mir tut das Personal einfach nur leid! Trotzdem NIE WIEDER

This hotel was practically next door to the Serdica ancient Roman complex, so as soon as we had checked in, we went out and roamed among the ruins for awhile. But it's actually a perfect location for all your exploration, walking tours, historic sites, etc. The breakfasts were served in the little restaurant on the 1st floor, and it included lots of options. The staff were helpful and friendly, including giving me directions to a laundry, holding our luggage for awhile on our leaving day, and other courtesies. We recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if we ever go to Sofia again.

Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße gelegen. Das Zimmer (Suite 20B) war groß. Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht und dies war in Ordnung - Kaffee oder andere Getränke vom Automaten zur Selbstbedienung. Vom Hotel aus erreicht man das Zentrum binnen 10 Minuten! Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer läßt massiv zu Wünschen übrig - das Zimmer braucht massiv eine Revitalisierung, da dies mehr als abgewohnt ist. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist leider ebenso nicht gegeben - schade!! Für uns war dies das erste Hotel wo es eine Preisliste für defekte Sachen gibt (siehe Photo) ...

I've never stayed anywhere else in Sofia so cannot comment on whether this is great for Sofia, but international 4* standard, it isn't. Most of the staff are lovely, apart from the member of staff who decided one evening that we were not allowed to have a glass of wine in the lobby bar because the bottle of wines were ”reserved” and ”for show” (the excuse changing from one minute to the next.) He couldn't explain who or why they were reserved or for show. The room servicing is, *interesting*. They say in the information in the room that the rooms are serviced daily. On the first day it wasn't serviced at all. The second, I asked it to be serviced and the towels replaced which they did but then (not joking) they screwed up the cover on the bed and put it in the corner, made half an effort to pull up the duvet, emptied a bin and did nothing else. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room is a real plus but they were not refreshed / refilled during our stay either, even when the room was ”serviced”. The bed was comfortable but one of those fit together beds rather than a true king size. It was huge but possible to get a bit caught in the middle. That said though, we didn't struggle with noise as other people did. The breakfast is fine. Typical central European type stuff and not the best quality but fresh fruit is always welcome. If it's a choice between room only at a cheaper price, I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it though. The door lock was a bit temperamental. It's worth checking it's genuinely locked behind you as ours didn't unless we carefully engaged the catch. There are safes though. The lifts were a bit dodgy as well. One obviously breaking down from time to time during our stay and be warned you need your room card to go up or down. Location wise it's superb and I'm not saying I wouldn't stay there again but for the price, which is not cheap for Sofia, the service needs a bit of an uplift. Also some attention to detail in the rooms would be good with a slight tear in the voile, wallpaper lifting etc. For British visitors though as this hotel is part of a Cooperative organisation, they have pictures of the first Rochdale COOP in some of the corridors. A funny little quirk if you know Rochdale. It's not the place you'd choose to decorate anywhere.

Perfekt gelegen – in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und des Stadtzentrums mit östlicher Anbindung an Straßenbahnlinien und Supermärkte rundherum. Das Zimmer ist in Ordnung – man sieht, dass es einst ein fantastisches Hotel war, aber jetzt, nach einigen Jahren, sind einige Dinge nicht mehr im besten Zustand und scheinen allgemein abgenutzt zu sein. Allerdings ist alles sauber und funktioniert einwandfrei. Etwas könnte repariert/ersetzt werden. zum Beispiel Lampenschirme oder verrostete Griffe in der Badewanne.

Das Zimmer war insgesamt zufriedenstellend, esp mit dem kleinen Balkon für eine kleine Waschzone, elektrische Wasserkessel für die Herstellung von heißem Tee, ein kleiner Kühlschrank für die Verwendung, ein großes Kunststoff-Bucket im Badezimmer und Haartrockner geliefert. Die Beleuchtungen sind glänzend genug. Fernseher bietet auch ein paar Kanäle. Wenn das Hotel für Kunden, die ihre Nahrungsmittel oder Brot aufwärmen, eine Mikrowelle oder ein kleines Backofen bereitstellen könnte, neben einem Mini-Size-Teetisch, würden sie sicherlich von allen Kunden einen zusätzlichen Score verdienen.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Best Western Terminus Hotel in Sofia. What an amazing hotel this is, on the doorstep of a fantastic public transport system. The hotel is around 1 mile away from the downtown area. Don't let that put you off, the tram stop is directly outside the entrance. The room was spacious and had all of the necessities to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. The fridge was a really useful addition. The bed was huge in the king room!! The housekeeping staff were great and serviced our room daily. The breakfast was a continental buffet style. Again, this was a great start to the day and was included in our room price. A good selection of hot and cold options. There is no bar area in the hotel however there is a fridge in the reception area where you can purchase alcohol and non alcoholic drinks to take away to consume in your room. All of the staff members that we met were professional in their conduct and were polite, friendly and helpful. We loved the luggage room availability - as we had a late flight, the staff agreed to look after our luggage so that we could enjoy our final day in this beautiful city. The hotel price was an absolute bargain. This alongside the quality accommodation and friendly/helpful staff makes this a great choice of hotel. I would highly recommend and will return here in the future. Don't be put off by previous comments about the area around the hotel. As in any city in the world, you need to be vigilant. We had no issues at all. We found the Bulgarians to be extremely polite and welcoming.

Ich habe das Hotel wegen der Lage zur Expo gewählt. Es lässt sich mit der Metro sehr gut erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und geräumig. Von der Straße hört man nichts, aber leider hört man den Nachbar im Zimmer nebenan husten. Sehr schade, wenn es nach außen Schallisolierung gibt, aber nicht innerhalb des Hotels. Check in und Check out liefen schnell, allerdings ohne freundliche Worte. Das Frühstück ist ok. Zurzeit (Mai 22) ist das Restaurant nur für Frühstück geöffnet, es gibt aber ein paar kleine Lokale, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann.
