Rigas Hotel Skopelos

Beim Einchecken empfanden wir das Personal als sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war schön, aber was enttäuschend war, war, dass es dort regnete und da wir für die Übernachtung in einem Superior-Zimmer extra bezahlen mussten, bestand das Hauptproblem darin, dass wir nicht auf dem Balkon sitzen konnten, weil das Dach aus Bast bestand und der Regen daher durchströmte, während wir bei den Standardzimmern bemerkten, dass das Dach stabil war, so dass man draußen sitzen konnte, ohne nass zu werden. Wir teilten uns eine Pizza, während wir an der Poolbar saßen, was absolut umwerfend war, da wir noch nie eine mit so dickem Belag gegessen hatten, tatsächlich konnten wir nur zwei Drittel davon essen. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot jeden Morgen eine andere Auswahl und war wieder einmal sehr schön. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr günstig, nur 3 Minuten bis zum Supermarkt und weitere 3 bis 4 Minuten bis zu den Restaurants und Bars am Hafen.

Das Zeug war nicht nett, wir erlebten einen sehr nicht freundlichen Ansatz. Die Hotelanlage ist schön, sehr grün und hat einen schönen Swimmingpool, es ist 7 Minuten zu Fuß von der Stadt Skopelos entfernt, also war es komfortabel

5-Sterne-Personal für Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Zimmer in 4-Sterne-Qualität, außer Stabdusche statt Duscharmatur an der Wand. 3 Sterne Frühstücksauswahl.

Ausgezeichnete Erfahrung, sauberes Zimmer, das Personal war höflich, freundlich und hilfsbereit, großartige Lage. Das Gefühl der Kombination von Meer und Natur war großartig. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder im Rigas Hotel übernachten.

I don't know where to begin with this hotel. JUST DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I travel a lot with my family and can honestly say in the last 20 years this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Luckily we were only there a few nights as we were Island hopping. On arrival we were given a room at the back on the kitchens in the staff quarters, we booked this bucket list holiday 18 months before. The room was not clean, the bathroom was dirty and the shower head holder was broken, there was dead mosquitos all over the room and air conditioning unit. the room was very dark due to being completely covered my uncut trees and plants. Our only window was overlooking a flat roof. A Cleaners trolley was in the Garden if i can call it that the whole time we were in this hotel which was next to stairs to a basement for staff with all furniture and old food left out. We spoke to reception on arrival and asked to be moved to be told there is nothing available. I had to insist they went back in to clean the room and they did reluctantly. The next day I insisted we move as my children were bitten to death as the mosquitos were already in this dirty room when we arrived. We did get moved to another room the next day after being told to vacate the dirty one and wait until 3pm, from 10am to check-in AGAIN, when we eventually got in it was better for seeing daylight and bearable however both locks on patio doors did not work, other families in the hotel also had this. The bed sheets in our new apartment had blood Staines on them. The pool was filthy and this was after the black dirt from around the edge was asked to be cleaned. The pool was full of dead wasps and the life guard just gave us the net to remove ourselves as he was too busy talking to his colleagues. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, basic, but the worst of it was that the staff in the restaurant was wearing gloves, but I saw one staff member stroke a stray cat and carry on in the same gloves. The worst of all of the above was the reception staff. The manager could not speak English so the reception staff who were broken English were a main issue, as they had attitude and did not want to help. I was told ' you have been given a new apartment why have you got an issue now?' on the day were we leaving (thankfully) we asked to keep the room for an extra 2 hours late checkout as a goodwill gesture but NO again. When i did check out i gave them back their blood stained sheets after another argument with reception staff. I will never recommend or go back to this awful hotel. We paid a lot for this as part of a package holiday. PLEASE DONT PUT YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILDREN THROUGH THIS.

A wonderful family holiday. Staff were fantastic and we felt comfortable that if we had a problem, it would have been sorted. Perfectly clean and a great location within a short walk from the centre of town.

We stayed at Rigas hotel for 2 weeks in August and loved our stay. I don’t know why people have been so negative in previous reviews, we had a fabulous time and would return. George & Konstantina on reception were amazing! We stayed in room 370, basic room but had everything we needed. The shower was small and could do with updating but it was fine. We used the the room as a base for sleeping and seeing beautiful Skopelos so weren’t in it that much. Rigas fit the bill perfectly, great location and only a short walk to the harbour. When we booked it said continental breakfast so we were happily surprised with the cooked breakfast on offering. There was always a lady cooking fresh eggs or pancakes and plenty to choose from. Could always get a sunbed round the pool and didn’t see the usual towel brigade reserving them at 5am! There was a yellow stain round the edge of the pool which looked like it was cleaned off but any white swimwear did turn yellow so wouldn’t recommend anything white. Lifeguard always on duty. Kids were allowed their inflatables in the pool but were not allowed to jump in. This seemed silly given how deep the pool was and the fact that the lifeguards friends were allowed to jump in, so our kids didn’t understand why they were being told they couldn’t so this was the only downside for us. Overall great holiday and would stay again.

We booked for 2 weeks but after one week we couldn’t tolerate another week so arranged an early flight back with Jet2. First room (368) had a rubbish dump for the view, room was damp and smelt fusty. Bed very hard and damp. Balcony overgrown with bushes. My partner refused to sleep in the room so spent the night on the sofa in reception! After complaining we were given another room (364) the following day. This was a slight improvement as the view was better but again the room was very damp and smelly. Bed again damp so I slept on my beach towel. My partner has asthma so still wouldn’t sleep in the room so slept on the balcony under our mosquito net all week. Most of the time we had no hot water and at times no water at all. They sent the ‘plumber’ but he wasn’t much use. Our neighbours also had no hot water and said their room was smelly and damp. When we did manage a shower the bathroom flooded and no mop to dry it. No ventilation either so it made the room muggy. Woken up by cockerels and dogs barking around 4am in the morning. We were half board, breakfast was ok with a decent choice of food but for our evening meal we had to select what we wanted and it appeared the food was microwaved. There was only ourselves and one other couple eating in the evening. We have been going to Greece for the last 20 years but this is the worse hotel we have ever stayed in and certainly would not recommend it. After our first week we had had enough so arranged an early flight back even though we had paid for 2 weeks. This certainly was a holiday to remember but for all the wrong reasons.
