The room was clean and so was the outside of the building. Quiet and so comforting. See you in 20 years for the next eclipse. We stayed with you on the last eclipse in 2017. Your establishment has come a long way since then and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We got engaged on the last eclipse and we stayed with you then and we stayed with you.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. We asked for more coffee and it was in our room upon our return. It would be nice if there were USB ports to charge your phones and laptops. Luckily we brought our chargers with cubes. There is an outdoor grill for guests. Great hotel for a short or extended stay!!!

I've stayed here a few times and the recent changes have made the stay so much better! Our first time in 2022 was decent. Clean enough room, pleasant service. But everything felt a bit tired. We just finished a stay there and it's so much better! The sheets and quilts are all new and not from the 80's! No more buzzing lights. Much easier check in and check out process.

The room just felt cozy, comfortable and welcoming from the very moment we opened the door! The pillows were great and the bed was super for a great night's sleep. The property was very well-kept, tidy and neat.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and the amenities were nice. We would stay here again close to the lake and downtown. Very nice area to stay and felt safe. The mini fridge is a nice touch. Thank you.

The Shelby Inn located with in walking distance of the wedding venue. Great guest service, and clean rooms. Will definitely use again if we are in the area!!

I appreciated the ease of access without having to check in or out at a front desk. I was given a door code to use which was simple. The room was spacious and clean. There was a phone number I could easily call or text if I needed help or amenities. Modern service with historic charm. Good balance of old and new! Will stay again.

We’ve Loved the Shelby in the past and returned there for our resent trip. However ownership has changed and it shows. We arrived and found the 2 Queen beds we reserved was down graded to 2 fulls. Then we get to the room and prepare for bed only to turn down the covers to find dirty socks. Tried to call the front desk, that is shown as being open until 9 (called at 7:03), and found no one would answer. Left a vm and had to call back again the next day for a person. I was assured they would change the sheets and got comped for the night. However at 5pm had to call again as no one had come to change the sheets. Definitely sad to see this happening as Kenny took such great care of the rooms and customers. We won’t be returning.

Tried to book a room during a 2 day power outage at home. Made the reservation online, got to the hotel and was told they don't honor online bookings made after 7pm. Tried calling at 645 And didn't get an answer so I guess I should have known better 🤦. It was 745 at night when we got there I thought people liked to sleep close to that time. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone after the lack of service we received!
