Blimey, where to start, this place is a throw back to 1980s decor of tack & naff. . The areas of the hotel we saw, were nothing like the photos on the website it was a strange assortment of mismatched decor, cheap artwork, throws over stained sofas, a general tattiness. We had a full day trip out planned so dropped off our bags earlier, concierge told us they would take them to the room when it was ready (which was fine with us) but to come back to the hotel at 9.30pm and find our bags still sitting in the public area of the main foyer of reception was annoying. Our room I think was 15 or 16 is dark & cavernous and also just a few metres from the pool (you hear the water constantly noisily overflowing) & the music system which starts after breakfast & goes until about 11pm & also anyone can walk past and look through your door / windows. One window had a net curtain the other only a black out fabric curtain which didn’t reach to the end of the window so we had to be inventive & hold it together with some random objects to block out the sunlight (and eyes) Our room was large & the bed comfortable, there were 4 bottles of complimentary water in the fridge & nice toiletries, but that’s about the only positives here. The colour scheme was a homage to all things yellow and brown (not a single white : santorini style aesthetic to be found - like what they present in the website). The furniture was mismatched and old. Lights were hanging forlornly off the walls. The rockery style bathtub was amusing & kitch. Looking through the 100s of photos of the hotel we didn’t find the room we were allocated in any single one of them. No surprise as you would not book if you had seen this room. The gym is such a sad place, old machines & mis matched weights. Breakfast was a scrum - not enough tables inside, & the outside tables & chairs were wet, the food looked like it had been pre-handled by by a foot ball team & overall breakfast area had the ambience of a kids school playground. We felt sorry for the waiter trying to serve the tea & coffee and organise & clear tables - he was run off his feet. There were signs around the pool saying you had to pay more if you wanted a double bed that was in the water, they were also in need of some maintenance as they were tatty & had tears in the mattress. The view across the caldera was lovely from the public areas of the hotel. It was also interesting to be able watch the lorries, buses & vans negotiating the winding road down to the port. The Hotel charged €30 for 2 to transfer down to the port. They insisted we go 2 hours before before the road was ‘so bad’ we did suggest that was a bit early but - hey we were dumped down there and had to breathe on all the fumes off the ferries & vehicles coming & going. Before booking I would find out exactly what room you were being given. Otherwise I wouldn’t stay here.

We have found that the Athermi suites is the best place to stay in Santorini because it has absolutely everything you would want for magnificent holiday. We booked the spectacular villa room with indoor swimming pool and views from floor to ceiling of the Aegean Sea and volcanic mountains although every room after speaking to other guest also have amazing vistas as well. The staff are absolutely outstanding, the service , the delicious food , the tour and local information help , all add up to an excellent holiday . We also enjoyed their private dining experience at Sunset which was truly magical ( you will have to book for this one ). So if you are looking for a place to really relax and enjoy a fabulous holiday Athermi Suites is a wonderful choice we will definitely be back .

Wir besuchten Mitte September mit Jet2. Insgesamt einen ausgezeichneten Urlaub, obwohl wir entdeckten, dass es eine sehr besetzte Insel ist, vor allem die Hauptstädte von Fira und Oia mit Kreuzfahrt-Ferienfahrer überschwemmt. Wir wussten, dass Santorini teuer war (und es ist!), so dass wir uns für unsere 60. Geburtstag behandeln. Was wir über das Hotel geliebt haben: Klein (15 Zimmer) in einer ruhigen Lage; schön eingerichtete & bestellte Zimmer; Ausgezeichneter Service vom Personal; erstaunliche Aussichten; der kostenlose Busservice zum schönen Strand (und großen Strandclub) und zu Fira; Schönes Dorf in naher Walkstrecke (10-15 min) mit ausgezeichneten Restaurants Was wir nicht so beeindruckt waren: Pool-Bereich fehlt Schatten. Wir schätzen, dass es eine sehr windige Lage sein kann, aber in ruhigeren Tagen sollten sie mehr Segel-Typ-Schatten aufstellen. Wir würden Menschen sehen, die versuchen, sich von der Sonne unter den Tischen oder gegen eine Wand zu verstecken. Auch wir mochten die Musik nicht aufhören zu blasen. Es war nicht geeignet für eine kalte, lebendige Atmosphäre - „Fahren nach Hause für Weihnachten“ zu sein, eine der Popsongs! Verdächtige Musik wurde gespielt, um eine Art Atmosphäre zu erzeugen - aber das Fehlen von Sonnenschutz und unaufhörliche Musik hält uns weg. Wir hatten ein erstes Stockzimmer (oben) gebucht, aber „aufgerüstet“ in ein Erdgeschosszimmer. Während es von einem kleinen Patio-Bereich profitiert, das den Park überblickt, konnte man Leute in dem oben genannten Zimmer laufen hören. Ich hätte unser ursprüngliches Zimmer bevorzugt. Für ein Fireworks Festival Abendessen wurde uns gesagt, dass das Essenszimmer voll reserviert wurde und dass wir draußen sitzen müssten. Absolut gut für uns, da das Essenszimmer ziemlich grundlegende ist, zu hell und wieder fehlt Atmosphäre. Aber als wir zu unserer bestellten Zeit angekommen waren, wurden alle Außentisch genommen und wir wurden ein Tisch in der Innenstadt gezeigt. Gäste, die das Restaurant reserviert hatten, hatten sich offensichtlich entschieden, sich draußen zu sitzen. Nicht beeindruckt, obwohl das Personal schnell einen Tisch für uns draußen bewegte.

Tolles Hotel mit vier Zimmern. Dies ist der beste Vermieter, den wir in Griechenland getroffen haben. Beim Einchecken im Hotel gab es ein Begrüßungsgetränk. Der Vermieter hat uns sehr sorgfältig Empfehlungen für die Reiseroute und verschiedene Details gegeben. Ich habe auch geholfen, ein Auto zu mieten~ Das Frühstück des Hotels ist sehr gut. Hausgemachtes Brot, Kuchen, Säfte und Obst sind sehr reichhaltig. Wir waren im Schwimmbadzimmer im ersten Stock. Der Pool war zirkulierendes Wasser und es war sehr sauber. Am Tag vor unserer Abreise hat uns der Vermieter auch das Frühstück im Voraus aufs Zimmer gestellt, was uns sehr berührt hat~ Haben Sie die Chance, wieder nach Santorini zu kommen! ! ! ! !

Pure Magic. Wir kamen hier für unseren Hochzeitstag und blieben 4 Nächte in der Deluxe Jacuzzi Suite und ich bin nur sprechenlos. Die Aussichten aus diesem Zimmer sind unglaublich, blähten meine Erwartungen aus dem Wasser. Das Personal war so hilfreich und nett und, Chris, der Manager ging über alles hinaus, um sicherzustellen, dass unser Aufenthalt perfekt war! Wir stiegen auch nach dem Wasser vom Herzen von Santorini, die und unglaubliche Wanderung zu tun, wenn Sie Wandern mögen. Wir konnten auch eine Nachricht auf unserem Balkon, die so cool war auch! Hoch empfohlen!! Es war wirklich schön, weg von Oia (25 Min.) und Fira (10 Min.), es war Oktober und es war immer noch super verrückt besetzt da. So fühlte sich super schön in unserem ganzen Ort auf der anderen Seite der Insel. Das Jacuzzi nach der Rückkehr jeder Nacht war der beste Teil. Die Ansicht und die Sterne waren unglaublich. Wir hatten das Quad an unser Hotel geliefert, das perfekt war, auch für Abenteuer jeden Tag zu nehmen. Erinnern Sie sich an eine Aufzugszeit. Buchen Sie es einfach!!

30th wedding anniversary holiday. Arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by the very friendly Meme. Speedy checked in and shown to our suite, absolutely stunning views. Given a complementary bottle of wine for our stay. Breakfast has to be ordered the day before as it is delivered to your suite at your chosen time. Good selection and rather large amounts of what you order. Took us a couple of days to get right so as not to over order. Had an evening meal on the shared terrace which was very good. Room was spacious and very clean with kettle, coffee machine, fridge and safe. Had a car for a few days and there is parking in front of the suites, also there is a public car park 100 yards or so away if busy. The views were amazing and hope to return in a couple of years. Fantastic holiday.
