Blacksandy Beach Hotel

What an gorgeous hotel. Don't know why its only got 2*. Arrived early hours of the morning and Fransesko the owner was waiting to welcome us. Our room nunber 19 was beautifull spotlessly clean with a good size balcony. Breakfast was good. Fantastic carrott cake Great central location. Bus stop just accross the road from hotel for easy access to fira and oia. All in all amazing. Will definately return. Thank you all for a memorable and amazing stay.

We arrived in the wee small hours and were greeted by the owner who helped us to take our luggage to our room. Room 21 in this small perfectly run hotel overlooks the pool from its terrace. Quaint “Santorini Blue” shutters on the windows give it that quintessential Mama Mia feel. Breakfast is served downstairs and whilst everything is of the best quality, please, please, please BSB, serve it at a warmer temperature. Worked around the lack of warm food by making a toastie each morning. The owner’s wife makes a different delicious fresh cake for every breakfast. Yum. The small but spotless pool is surrounded by very comfy sun loungers and there are also places to lie away from the pool and up on the top terrace. Special mention and thanks to the young couple who run breakfast and the “day” bar and also to the couple who clean the hotel everyday day. When I say “clean” the hotel, I mean just that. Whether it be the rooms, the pool area or the marble floors throughout the BSB, absolutely everything is cleaned to a standard way beyond what anyone could expect. Attention to detail included the crumbs being removed from the toaster, daily. All the rooms vary in size and although not “Ultra” modern are exceptionally comfortable and come with free air conditioning and a free safe. Each room has an individual hand painted fresco on a wall, a lovely touch. Towels are changed daily and there are “no charge” towels available for use at the pool. Black Sandy Beach Hotel is located 300m in from the beach on a busy narrow road. Almost everyone that walks bye stops to admire the unique look of the hotel. I will review Perissa separately as unlike the hotel it is far from being a well run and perfectly finished town. Suffice to say, it could be nice when finished. Returning to the hotel, there is a plaque at the door quoting Romans 12:13 which says, “Practice Hospitality”. The owner and the staff take this to heart and most certainly do Practice Hospitality every day.

Stayed here for a week from the 22nd May The hotel is exceptionally clean , clean towels and room cleaned every day, the bathroom could do with some shelves for toiletries whilst showering and hooks to hang towels on but there is plenty storage space under sink, a lock on the bathroom door would also be good as if you had the windows open the door kept opening.Francesco the owner was so helpful and friendly Breakfast was really nice and plenty to choose from but if your not down early the hot food isn’t so hot, pool area was spotless and the sun beds were so comfortable . The hotel is in a great spot right next to Dorians pub and the bus stop.the beach was 5 mins walk away, will definitely return to this hotel in the future

This is an Hotel with an amazing service, thanks to Francesco and Nikos. Very close to the sea just 3 minutes away, to enjoy the black sand beach. Large breakfast, with hot food, eggs, omelettes, beans, bacon, sweets, cereals, juices, cakes, bread, jams. Very clean hotel and excellent housekeeping service. Connection to Fira (main centre for visiting all of Santorini) with bus stop 1 minute away from Hotel. On the sea, dozens of restaurants offer free umbrellas and deckchairs all day in exchange you have to buy something at bar. Thanks to the whole hotel and in particular to the cat GINA :). Santorini will forever remain in my heart. Rocco and Emma.

Stayed in June 2023. Absolutely loved our stay. The rooms are lovely and clean and very traditional. Just what we like, breakfast was traditional. Staff very welcoming. Very quiet and relaxing. If you want more of a vibe pop to dorians. Perfect for couples wanting to unwind.

I’m at the airport sad to leave after a wonderful stay at the Black Sandy Beach hotel. A very friendly welcoming family hotel. Excellent location close to Perissa beach. Easy to get about the island on local buses. Lots of walking/hiking on the doorstep. Rooms exceptionally clean. A lovely breakfast each morning, with a good selection and a different freshly baked cake everyday. My only very small negative is that the rooms aren’t particularly sound proofed. But luckily I had my ear plugs. Lots of help and advice given from reception. When I return to Santorini, I will have no hesitation in retuning to this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a wonderful holiday at sandy beach. Francesco and marina, niko and all staff keep the hotel immaculate. All are friendly and helpful. Marina is a good Baker, lovely cakes, biscuits rice pud. Breakfast is lovely. Comfortable bed attractive rm above pool. The pool is lovely too. Hope to return.

Well this lovely small and friendly hotel was probably one of the best places to stay in Perissa its a gorgeous hidden gem, its spotlessly clean fantastic owners and staff that i hope to go back too in the future

Friendly Staff, Spotlessly Clean, Great Location, Lovely Rooms .... what more can we say - we would not hesitate to come back and stay in this very well run small hotel on a return visit to Santorini. The location is very convenient for the beach (with some superb restaurants and bars), very convenient for the local bus to Fira (a gentle 2 minute stroll to the bus stop from the hotel). In short - a really great place to stay !! Thank you to everyone at The Black Sandy Beach Hotel for making us so welcome.
