Wir verbrachten viele Jahre zweimal pro Jahr im Chateau und hatten auch immer eine schöne Erfahrung. Der freundliche und teilweise auch spaßige Umgang mit den Hotelmitarbeitern war äußerst angenehm und ließ uns auch über die ein oder andere Nachlässigkeit hinwegsehen. Das ein Gast, der seinen ersten Aufenthalt im Chateau verbringt, ins schwärmen kommt und seine Emotionen zum Ausdruck bringt ist verständlich. Die Lage zählt sicherlich zu den besten in Saint-Tropez, wenngleich der Blick der Villa Belrose für mich der schönste ist. Nach dem Besitzerwechsel wurden viele Veränderungen angekündigt und es wurde klar man möchte in der Topliga mitspielen! Die Zimmerpreise bewegen sich mittlerweile unbestritten in der absoluten Topliga, diese haben sich praktisch über Nacht mehr als verdoppelt. Dies weckt natürlich eine gewisse Erwartungshaltung, welcher Mehrwert, in dieser massiven Preiserhöhung steckt. Unbestritten ist, man hat einiges in den öffentlichen Bereichen schöner und stylisher gestaltet. Wir haben immer dasselbe Zimmer und hier hat sich nichts geändert. Es wurden 3 Restaurants im Chateau zusammengeführt, was für uns keinen Vorteil hat, weil wir sowieso nicht jeden Tag im Hotel essen wollen. Jedoch lassen sich die Restaurants durch Hotelgäste ohnehin nicht füllen. Führt aber dazu, dass sich ab 19:00 Uhr durch die auswärtigen Gäste, die Autos auf der Hotelauffahrt stauen. Die daraus resultierende Geräuschkulisse bis spät in die Nacht erhalten sie exklusiv dazu. Man hat einen Kids-Club „Villa mit Pool“ und allen sonstigen Extras für einen gerüchteweise zweistelligen Millionen Betrag eingerichtet. Dekadent…meine persönliche Meinung! Absurd vor allem dann, wenn trotz Club die Kinder am Wochenende am Hauptpool etc. rumlärmen. Mancher munkelt, dass man sich einen Wettbewerb mit Arnault’s Cheval blanc liefert, da hier Bentleys als Shuttle zum Einsatz kommen, musste es im Chateau Rolls Royce sein! Amüsant!!!...Arnault auf Platz 2 Forbes!! Bleibt spannend…. Das man zum Kaufpreis noch weitere 40 Mio. investiert hat, ist schon enorm. Die einfachste und vor allem günstigste Investition ist die Kommunikation mit seinen (Stamm-) Gästen, die findet aber interessanterweise in keiner ernstzunehmenden Form statt. Wir sprechen von „5 Sterne Palace“ mehr geht bekanntlich nicht in Frankreich! Ich bewerte so ein Verhalten, als max. Ignoranz oder Dilettantismus pur. In einem Gespräch mit dem neuen Hotelmanager, der zweite seit der Übernahme, versuchte er die höheren Preise zu rechtfertigen. Die angeführten Leistungen wie Frühstück, Strand und Parkplatz waren bisher schon in der Hotelrate inkludiert, vielleicht wusste er das noch nicht. Das man durch die getätigten Investitionen im Chateau nun in der Liga mit „Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc“ und „Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat“ spielt, ließ mich dann doch verstummen…war dies Verzweiflung oder ein Anflug von Arroganz…ich weiß es nicht?! Sollte er den Preis gemeint haben, hat er natürlich absolut recht…beim Rest

Leider absolut unzumutbar! Wir waren für 4 Nächte im Hotel und hatten uns täglich beschweren müssen. Angefangen hat es mit: Ameisen welche vom ersten Tag an im Zimmer waren. Als wir dies an der Rezeption gemeldet haben und die Rezeptionistin dies mit ihrer Vorgesetzten abgesprochen hatte war (1 Tag später!) die einzige Rückmeldung: Ja, wir haben hier leider Ameisen…..wir können nicht wirklich etwas machen. Ausser mit einem Spray die Ameisen zu töten welche bereits im Zimmer sind. Nichts aber was andere Ameisen daran hindert herein zu kommen! (siehe Bilder!) Katastrophaler Zustand des Zimmers eine Badezimmer Türe welche sich nicht Schließen lässt und komplett aus den Scharnieren gerissen ist. Die Türe sah so aus als ob sie eingetreten wurde! Scharnier und Schloss waren ausgerissen und die Türe komplett verzogen! (siehe Bilder!) Meines Erachtens ist es komplett unzumutbar ein Zimmer zu vergeben bei welchem man die Badezimmer Türe nicht einmal schließen kann! Als wir dies gemeldet haben wurde uns sogar vorgeworfen dass wir die Türe beschädigt haben. Uns wurde gesagt: „Ja wir wissen dass die Türe etwas streng zugeht, jedoch konnte man sie noch Schließen bevor Sie das Zimmer bezogen haben.“ Ich glaube eine Türe auf und zu machen ist nicht eine all zu grosse Herausforderung, geschweige dass man sie so extrem beschädigen kann beim öffnen oder schliessen! Frechheit! In der Dusche und rund um das Lavabo kamen schwarze Kunststofffäden aus der Wand! Sieht extrem abstoßend aus da es wie haare aussieht. Sehr abstoßend verarbeitet! (siehe Bilder!) Wie kann man einem Gast so ein Zimmer anbieten!? Am dritten tag wurde uns von einer anderen „Rezeptionistin“ oder Vorgesetzten mitgeteilt, dass sie uns immer noch kein anderes Zimmer geben könnten, da das Hotel ausgebucht sei. Als ich ihr mitgeteilt hatte, dass ich für ein Zimmer in einem solchen miserablen Zustand nicht bereit bin den vollen Preis zu bezahlen, war ihre Antwort: „Sie haben das Zimmer online gebucht und es sei aus diesem Grund nicht möglich einen Rabatt oder eine Rückvergütung vorzunehmen“. (Obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nichts abgebucht wurde!) Sie würde sich jedoch mit dem Manager in Verbindung setzen. Als ein Tag später endlich der Tag der Abreise kam, dachte ich, ich wäre im falschen Film. Wir wurden praktisch komplett ignoriert so als ob nichts gewesen wäre. Die Dame welche uns gesagt hat sie würde unsere Beschwerden mit ihrem Manager anschauen, hat uns weder; - eine Rückmeldung gegeben was sie besprochen haben - noch irgendetwas dazu gefragt - natürlich auch keinen Rabatt angeboten für diesen horrenden Aufenthalt - und nicht einmal entschuldigt für das was passiert ist! Ich kann nur empfehlen von dem Hotel fern zu bleiben! Abgesehen von den Zimmern ist auch das Personal überhaupt nicht zuvorkommend oder hilfreich!

This hotel was nothing short of amazing! First Anne-Catherine and Laurent were both so nice and helpful and really made us feel welcomed. I’m addition, we received great recommendations for where to eat and what to do. The hotel is small and is located in the Port which does not allow cars. They did a great job of giving directions prior to arrival on what to do. If you are coming by car, they have 3 spaces at the hotel for €25 a day but these are subject to availability. If those are full or you want something cheaper, they will give you information on the parking they provide outside of the port. We were given a choice of rooms as it was off season but honestly I don’t think there is a bad room in the place. The ones we saw and the one we ended up staying in were both modern and fairly good sized and all had unique views. We opted not to have the hotel breakfast but it looked fantastic with a variety of fruit, pastry and omelette options in addition to coffee. The Wi-Fi worked well and they also provided us with beach towels so we could take advantage of the beach. If I ever come back to Port Grimaud I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Das Hotel liegt super zur Fußgängerzone, zum Strand und direkt gegenüber gibt es ein Parkhaus. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Meerblick und einem schönes Bad. Schön, dass es einen Pool gibt. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle wirklich sehr freundlich. Insgesamt hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder wählen.
