Riad Jbara

Want to experience Moroccan life just above the market place in the thick of Rabat Medina to feel hear and smell something unique come to Riad Jbara. Love the Moroccan decor the impressive high ceilings and hanging drapes, colourful windows, mezzanine floor addition, lighting and most importantly the hospitality of this family run home with a centre courtyard so exquisitely decorated in rustic Moroccan way. Breakfast very rich and original served by the matriarch and her daughters. Spacious Rooms and very clean. Would highly recommend this raid.

The owner was wonderful and very helpful. We were only there one night but he made great food suggestions. He gave us excellent directions. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A little hard to find and lots of stairs. I would stay there again.

Nice riad and friendly personnel. They helped with some extra services and the communication was very good – quick and precise. The riad is nice, clean and has everything needed for normal travelers. I recommend.

I stayed mid August with my family. It's not as easy to find but the owner came and met us. However seeing that other riads we had stayed in Morocco before arriving in Rabat, helped us with a luggage or two, we weren't offered any help and were partly guided by motorcycle which we didn't appreciate. First impressions count! We were given the large room on the ground floor as advertised and booked but in reality the platform above the bed where you can climb a ladder to get to isn't ideal. It was quiet on the floor so therefore was fine. We didn't realise it didn't have air conditioning like all the other hotels we had stayed in so far and this disappointed us. The fans weren't as effective for a stay in mid August. Although I wanted to stay in the Medina, I didn't really like the location, I think it's perhaps because I'm not keen on Rabat's Medina. The positives - the shower provided hot water (something that can be a problem in other Moroccan riads I have stayed in) and with complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was lovely and this time I felt the owner was helpful and kindly offered anything more we wished to eat. He was interesting to talk with as we had finished our sight seeing early due to 3 of places I wanted to visit were closed because of Covid (???!!!) - the Mausoleum, Hassan Tower and The Chellah. The location of the riad meant we were close to the Kasbah and the beach.

I stayed here with my family and we stayed for two nights. We had a lovely room it was big enough for what we needed as it was only me my wife and my 1 year old son. The hosts were really friendly and generous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It really pleased my wife that they also spoke and understood English too. Breakfast was included and was up to standard and what you would expect from a traditional Moroccan Riad. They also have two rooftop terraces which give you a good view of the city. All in all it was worth the price we payed and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return.

In piena medina a Rabat. Classico riad ,molto bello ( la nostra camera un pò meno, ma niente di tremendo), tutto sommato abbiamo passato una buona nottata. Molto buona la colazione servita al mattino, la proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile.

Qualité des chambres très moyenne pour le prix comparativement à d'autres riads ! Je discute un tarif de taxi (Riad aéroport pour terminer notre séjour), il me le note noir sur blanc et on demande un autre prix plus élevé ensuite ! Situation géographique bof bof car endroit très bruyant ! Aucun conseil pour découvrir le coin, communication quasi inexistante ! Riad à éviter

Non corrisponde a quanto descritto, non accetta carte di credito con la scusa che non funziona il.pos. le stanze sono davvero usurate, non rifanno i letti e non cambiano gli asciugamani, solo a richiesta e a pagamento extra, non danno asciuga capelli e i tradizionali saponi e sciampo che danno ovunque al mondo , non esiste aria condizionata e il WiFi non funziona bene la mia stanza non ha neppure una finestra. la doccia e senza piatto e allaga tutto il bagno ,water compreso, L'impianto elettrico e fuori ogni plausibile norma di sicurezza, senza prese solo una tripla che collega tutto, senza spazio per ricaricare i cellulari La porta di accesso non si chiude bene. Nelle stanze superiori , ti mettono due letti separati attaccati al lavandino di una cucina. Con un forte odore di gatti . L'unica nota positiva è la colazione, tradizionale e abbondante. Non si capisce se sono solo arretrati o se fanno finta. Il paese corre a grandi passi verso il futuro, loro restano com'era il Marocco di tanti ,tanti anni fa, il loro non è un vero Riad, ma una vecchia casa di famiglia ristrutturata in proprio con materiale di recupero, magari alcuni ne restano affascinati. Credo che la maggior parte delle recensioni siano non originali. Visti su altri siti sono sempre le stesse positive con le stesse persone e foto. Le foto di presentazione sono fatte molto bene ma la realtà è assai diversa. Non sono del mestiere, molto improvvisati. e maliziosi. Non menevogliano, ma questo è quello che abbiamo vissuto. Frequento il Marocco da quarant'anni..

Jbara, il proprietario, è stato gentilissimo e sempre disponibile per qualsiasi necessità. Appena arrivati ci ha offerto un the, preparato da una delle figlie, e ci ha disegnato a mano la mappa della città e l'itinerario che secondo lui avremmo dovuto fare per girare al meglio Rabat. La struttura è molto bella con una terrazza enorme in cui è possibile rilassarsi, leggere, prendere un the o chiacchierare all'interno di due strutture con divani, poltrone e letti. Camera spaziosa con letto matrimoniale e soppalco con altri due singoli, era un po' caldo in quanto priva di aria condizionata ma è comunque presente un ventilatore se necessario. Sicuramente da consigliare!
