Als ich ankam, war ich ein wenig besorgt, da ich gerade die Sheraton in Santiago verließ und das war eine kleine quaint schöne Eigenschaft, aber das Zimmer sah mehr wie ein Hostel, es gab kein Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle oder Blow-Dryer. Ich dachte, ein Einzelzimmer würde bedeuten, dass ich ein Königsbett habe, aber es war nur ein Zwilling. Ok, die positiven: super schönes Personal, fragte ich, ob sie meine Speise lagern könnten, da ich kein Kühlschrank hatte und sie waren froh, zu unterhalten. Das Frühstück wurde enthalten, aber begrenzte Stunden 7-9am Allerdings bieten sie ein Mittagessen zu verpacken, wenn Sie einen frühen Ausgang haben und ich habe das in den meisten Tagen sehr schön genutzt. Das Personal war super freundlich, das für das Bett stand, sie waren froh, beim Service zu sein, als ich um Leitlinien und Empfehlungen gefragt habe. Das Eigentum ist sehr gut an allen Attraktionen gelegen. Das WiFi war großartig. Es gab immer jemanden, der sauber war und sie alle scheinen glücklich zu arbeiten, was schön zu sehen ist. Wissen Sie all das, wenn Sie ok sind mit einem Subpar Zimmer, würde ich diesen Geschäft unterstützen, wenn Sie etwas etwas schöner brauchen, gibt es Träume am Wasser.

Arrived after long trip in Antarctica. Put on the 10th floor and within 1/2 hour of checking in there was EXTREME noise from the 11th floor - construction! Thought the roof was going to fall in. Got management involved and was told the policy was 'no construction to take place when guests are occupying the 10th floor'!!!! Did this manager really say that to me as we stood on the 10th floor and could barely hear each speak?!?!?!!? He then told me he would tell the construction team to stop. They didn't as they started back up after about 20 minutes. He told me he told them to stop again....they didn't. I also told him my room water was warm at best, could not take a shower. He had maintenance look at it. He told me it would be fixed in an hour. I asked for another room given the water and the noise. We jointly evaluated the other room which was on floor 8. No noise which was positive. Water temperature was the same. He told me he would be ok taking a shower in that. I chose not to debate the acceptable water temperature with him as he obviously did not see me as the customer. No sense of customer service. Neither issue fixed. Noise continued - was then told the construction team would finish within the hour. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually prefer to stay in hotel chains because of the generous elite benefits (suite upgrades, breakfast, late check-out, etc.) but on occasion in some destinations without hotel chains then booking at an independent hotel cannot be avoided. In such situations I usually feel the sting of not having benefits and the value for the money is often noticeably inferior. Since our stay in Punta Arenas was part of a package involving a trip to Antarctica I could not choose which hotel we stayed at, and anyway there are no hotel chains in the city. Based on our stay at Hotel Jose Nogueira there was nothing to change my opinion about independent hotels, they are often inferior to hotel chains in many ways. Our stay was not overwhelmingly bad, in fact there were a number of positives. For starters of course I did not expect a suite upgrade but our room almost looked like a suite nonetheless because there was a living room separated from the bedroom. The downside is that both sections were quite small and the layout of other rooms which I saw felt more spacious when it was just one open room. Another positive was the lack of carpet which was not the case in all rooms, and also the bathroom had heated floors which was suitable for the local climate, and also a towel heater which was very useful. The bathroom toiletries were not some local unbranded stuff, in fact it was Pharmacopia which is often used in various Hyatt Regency hotels around the world. The main problem was that the curtains were not great so for a stay during the summer which has long day light hours, our daughter woke up too early every day. Having good blackout in a hotel far north or far south is a must but Hotel Jose Nogueira failed in that regard. At least the pillows were thick so we could sleep well before sunrise. The bathroom was also a sore spot, it was exceedingly small and quite dated especially the shower in the bathtub. The rest of the room was quite bare bones. There was no coffee kettle and even when I asked at reception they told me they only had one so they could not lend it to me. Since we needed boiled water to make milk for the baby I had to go to the bar regularly to ask for refills which was not as convenient as what we normally do in any other hotels. There was also no bathrobe which is a miss for a cold climate. The overall lack of amenities was also noticeable at the bar. While the venue itself was attractive, one day I asked for a *****ni but I was told they did not have Campari anymore. So I ordered an Amaretto Sour. The next day I ordered an Amaretto Sour again and I was told they did not have Amaretto anymore, but that they had Campari! Breakfast was quite weak, so weak in fact that we voluntarily decided to skip it two out of four mornings during our stay which we almost never do in any kind of hotel. They had eggs made to order and the rest at the buffet was standard stuff and nothing that stood out: cheese, cereals, fruits, bread, etc

This is a very simple hotel but is a good base to explore the town of Punta Arenas. We dropped our suitcases off in our room and explored the city. It was very cool to be so close to the Strait of Magellan and Antarctica. The hotel has an above ground hot tub and a steam room that we did not use during our stay. The staff at the front desk were very helpful.

This is a very simple hotel but is a good base to explore the town of Punta Arenas. We dropped our suitcases off in our room and explored the city. Pros: Rein! Komfortables Bett, leichte Steuerung von beiden Seiten des Bettes. Viel Speicherplatz. Personal sehr willkommen und hilfreich. Einfache Spazierweiterung zu Restaurants und Attraktionen. Ausgezeichneter Wert. Kons: Auf einer besetzten Straße w/ laut Verkehrslärm. Lokale Jugend hotrod auf/unter Straße die ganze Nacht! Supermarkt Ladedock w/ idling LKWs über die Straße. Das Hotel kann nichts tun, aber es ist gut zu wissen. Es war warm, als wir da waren, also mussten wir die Schiebetür/Fenster offen halten.

Very slow in finding usa room, when showed up before three pm, the scheduled time of checkin. Whenarrived just before 3pm, we were not given room. Whilst waited infront of the reception, I notcied that another customer was able to get room instantly.
