Hotel Amaca Puerto Vallarta - Adults Only

For me the most important thing is cleanliness and comfortable beds. The staff clean the place very consistently and the beds are the best I’ve ever been in at a hotel. The price is also very reasonable. Being a hill does make for some cardio but it also means that it is quieter at night when you want to sleep. 10/10 would absolutely stay here again

I have enjoyed staying here in the past, but my room this time was not very good. Yes, it was inexpensive, but the view was nonexistent, and truly the draw of staying up there is the view. Also, no free bananas anymore. I do recommend staying there usually, but I guess my old legs finally gave up climbing the stairs to the top of the hill, and in the hotel. I wish the staff the best, they are great, and Puerto Vallarta is beautiful from the roof!

Very pleased with my stay in this hotel. Quality and comfort of room exceeded my expectations. Better than what the add/photos show, and for a very good price. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would book here again with no hesitation.

The property and staff are nice. The property is up the hill a bit but Ubers are cheap and downtown is a 3 min walk. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a small rooftop bar and pool area. It sounds like they have some upgrade plans for that area. As it sits, the pool area is a nice place to enjoy a sunset. I would stay there again. The only reason to not stay here is if you physically can’t climb stairs.

Wasn’t what I expected but to be fair I had not truly looked at the listing for that area I anticipated it to be a little note-worthy. Friends were booking there unexpectedly due to the hurricane knocking power out, so grabbed a spot and rushed there. The next eve the power ( fans/fridge/etc) went out about 5:00 pm by 10 am the next morning no change so I called around to see who had service and asked to check out early. Without me asking they immediately said they could give me a voucher and I could give it to a friend/family. It’s just not a place that I could recommend to either. It’s a shabby chic/grunge vibe but that may work for some. To enter there immediate steep stairs and to get transported there they are on top of a hill. Below are other places to eat but be in a hill mood. There’s a young lady at the front desk- I believe her name is Alison, she’s kind, energetic, personable and probably the highlight of that stay.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at Hotel Amaca and it most definitely won’t be my last. I love it there. It’s clean, easy, simple, and affordable.

Hotel is located in quoet area of RZ, near the Pinnacle properties. There is no elevator so be prepared to get lots of exercise going up and down the stairs. There is a funicular you can use to get to Olas Altas street where there are lots of restaurants, cafes, access to beach, etc. If the funicular isn't working be prepared to walk lots of stairs to get to hotel from Olas Altas street. Our room was basic and met our needs - spacious shower, decent water pressure, great a/c unit, fridge, nice and comfy beds and pillows. Hotel location is really great. There is a very small pool on the rooftop, with a small bar as well. Nice place to hang out a bit. The staff work very hard to make this place an enjoyable stay for you.

Lovely hotel for a short stay. Comfortable bed, nice views.

Staff was great. We got there at 8 am, and even tho we couldnt check in staff allowed us to use the showers, pool, used their towels, etc. they are always willing to help
