I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Stayed four night as a base for Porto centre. Would give it 3.5 if possible to use halfs. Rooms were clean although showing signs of wear. Bed made up daily and fresh towels. Lack of shelf space in cupboard. Used for breakfast once but also tried the Mitica Inspiracao out of the back door twice for a more relaxed setting and no temptation to overfill v the buffet. Shower has good temperature and flow. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Nearby supermarket for anything you need. The bus from the airport took 50 mins during the morning midweek, and initially goes away from the hotel before heading back towards it. If I was doing it again I would take the Metro to Ramalde the nearest stop and then get an Uber to the hotel. The airport Metro is just behind the road at arrivals. Bus 304 seemed the quicker bus than the 300 or 301 into town. Had issues with bus reliability getting back from town after 8pm using information from route planner on Google maps .. chasing round various bus stops near the Town Hall Square to no avail. Ended up prefering to get the Metro back to Ramalde and then €3 for an Uber. Opted to use luggage lockers at Trindade Metro, €6 small for upto 12 hours rather than detour back to the hotel on the last day. Other sizes available but limited availability.

The room on the 1st floor was Spacious, clean, the air con and black out curtains worked well and the bathroom had 2 sinks, a bidet and a large shower. The staff are all very helpful, polite and friendly. The lovely roof top terrace is a great bonus after a day sightseeing, the drinks are reasonably priced e.g. 3.50 euros for a large beer and 7 for a cocktail (these are well made, not like a certain place we went too in Porto -WOW !!) you could taste the alcohol and the bar staff will bring them up to you, also a very nice addition is free nibbles later in the afternoon. All round great hotel.

Viele Städte in Portugal haben ein bisschen Chongqing-Bedeutung. Wenn Sie eine Kreuzung verpassen, müssen Sie einen großen Kreis umrunden. Zweitens den gleichen Namen Hotels am selben Ort haben rote und grüne Farben. Sie können keine Fehler machen, welche gebucht sind, und akzeptieren sich nicht gegenseitig. Es gibt Restaurants, die gut schmecken, sechstens gibt es kostenlose Parkplätze. Da ich zu spät ankam, ohne Fotos zu machen, ist die Hygiene gut. Ich habe vor kurzem 2 Nächte im Crowne Plaza Porto als Teil einer Arbeitsreise geblieben. Das Hotel ist in einer guten Lage, etwa 10 Minuten Fahrt vom Flughafen entfernt. Es gibt ein paar kleine Geschäfte und Bars / Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind schön, groß und mit allen üblichen Einrichtungen, die Sie von einem solchen Hotel erwarten würden. Ich aß in der Bar jeden Abend, das Essen war groß und sehr gut für Geld. Der Service der 2 Bars war auch groß! Ich werde frühen Sommer wieder zurück sein und empfehle jedem, ein gutes Hotel in Porto zu suchen.

Hinter einer unscheinbaren Altstadtfassade eröffnet sich im Hinterhof eine große dreieckige Freifläche die von Wohncontainern mit Mehrbettzimmern umstanden wird. Dazwischen gruppieren sich Tische, Sessel und Sofas zum Relaxen. Die Doppelzimmer im Haupthaus mit großzügigem Platzangebot erlauben einen weiten Blick in Richtung Westen, sind aber auch geräuschintensiv, wenn im dreieckigen Atrium lange gefeiert wird. Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal mit vielen Möglichkeiten auszugehen - vom netten Frühstückslokal direkt gegenüber bis zu den vielfältigen Möglichkeiten am Abend. Ein ungewöhnliches, zeitgemäßes Hotelkonzept. Freundlicher unkomplizierter Service. Empfehlenswert.

Great location close to the Metro, although a bit noisy as there is construction outside and a barking next door. The rooms are tiny with minimal amenities. This is not a 4 star hotel as our package promised. Just a heads up, they charge you for extra coffee pods. Staff here is professional and very helpful-they wear many hats! They helped us book an amazing tour. Walking distance to shopping, an amazing indoor food court, and grocery stores. The breakfast room is very nice, and has good selections.

Gostava de deixar um comentário sobre o Novotel porque realmente surpreendeu-me muito pela positiva. Ia sem grandes expectativas. Vi alguns comentários que mencionavam a antiguidade dos quartos e a falta de modernidade. A realidade NÃO é essa. O Hotel é maravilhoso. A entrada é enorme, os funcionários são super simpáticos e facilitam a estadia. Ficamos num quarto com vista para o mar. Com uma boa casa de banho, com uma banheira grande. Os armários do quarto são imensos! Tem um sofá cama mesmo que seja um quarto para dois. A televisão era igualmente enorme! O quarto é bonito, com uma decoração, e aconchegante. Tem ar condicionado e um mini bar que estava incluído no preço todas as bebidas do mesmo. A zona do restaurante era muito bonita. A piscina? Muito boa. A água estava sempre morna. De 0 a 10, avalio o Novotel com um 9 e só não dou um 10 pelo tamanho da piscina. É um hotel muito bom e procurado por famílias com crianças, o que faz com que a piscina esteja sempre cheia. Quanto ao pequeno almoço também quero deixar um elogio, pois é bastante variado e nunca deixam acabar as coisas. Gostei muito
