Apartment was clean, pool area was lovely and Peter and Amanda were very helpful, welcoming hosts. It is walking distance to beach, cafes and shops. The kitchen was well stocked but only one toilet roll and one sachet of clothes detergent for an eight night stay. I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

The Outrigger apartments in Port Douglas is a fabulous place to stay. Our hosts, Amanda and Peter, are the BEST! So warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They make all guests feel so welcome and special. We met our daughter, son-in-law, and our 10-year-old grand-twins there for a weeklong holiday. They live in Australia while we live in the US. We stayed in two nearby apartments -- which was just perfect. Port Douglas was the ideal location from which to explore the Daintree Rainforest, go snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, see crocodiles in the wild, fish for barramundi, and visit Kuranda with Birdworld and its Skyrail gondola. The Outrigger's location is very walkable to virtually all Port Douglas restaurants, shops, and town activities -- such as the ANZAC Day Parade we were fortunate to see. The grandkids also loved spending hours playing in the pool. Plus, we really appreciated having a washer/dryer in our unit. Everything worked great and we hope love to return in the future. Best hosts ever!

It does not surprise me one bit that the Outrigger is so highly rated on trip advisor and it's all down to Amanda and Peter. What wonderful managers and caretakers of a well-placed, boutique set of units. The pool is lovely and was well enjoyed by the kids. The units themselves were a decent size for a family of 4 and had good facilities. The location is perfect - an easy walk to the beach and into town. It's honestly such great value for money and a great place to stay. Amanda and Peter went above and beyond to make sure that our trip was wonderful. They were so friendly and were always up for a chat - sharing lots of tips on which tours to book and where to go. We loved our time here and would recommend it.

Had an absolute amazing time! The accommodation was spot on, walking distance to restaurants, marina and beach. The managers were outstanding! Incredibly helpful and an absolute delight to chat too! Nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely stay here again. Ten out of ten! The Hooper family

Fantastic stay - we’ll be back. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed with open arms. Amanda and Peter are the perfect hosts. The accommodation has ample space , is clean and provides everything you need for your stay. The location is ideal with essential needs around the corner and access to all the restaurants, marina and markets within walking distance. You’d be hard placed to find more perfect accommodation in port Douglas.

I was on a solo visit with a late evening arrival following a flight delay. Amanda & Peter, apartment hosts, made sure everything was in place & communicated for a safe & easy checkin which was very reassuring. In fact they were very welcoming & caring throughout my stay. My apartment was clean & very well equipped - full laundry facilities in my bathroom. The kitchen offered everything I needed to cater for myself. I enjoyed using the pool area. The location is quiet and very convenient for all Port Douglas amenities (walking distance). Amanda will help with local tour & airport transfer bookings. Highly recommend self-catering holiday apartments.

The Outrigger apartments was a perfect experience. A well equipped apartment and a nice little pool outside. Just a short stroll to the center, restaurants, the harbour and the beach. Amanda and Peter were the nicest caring people. They carefully booked snorkeling tours for us, for two fantastic reef experiences. The Outer reefs was a most stunning experience. We give Outrigger our best recommendations.

Excellent accommodation, clean, smoke free and spacious, in a quiet street. Very close to the beach and all amenities, central location, walking distance to all restaurants and cafes, very friendly and helpful owners, outstanding service. Very convenient communal pantry and fridge, when people share what is left after their stay. Help with transfers and tours, great communication

This was our favorite hotel during our 4 weeks travelling around Australia! (Family of 4 with 2 teenage kids.) Book this one - you'll be pleased and have a great stay. The place is great! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and everything we needed. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Nice pool with sunchairs and a barbeque for quests. Restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. But the real reason to stay at this hotel are the hosts - Amanda & Peter. They go out of their way to make your stay the very best. They will help you with booking your tours, recommendations and everything else you need. They are always available to help or to have a nice chat. Staying with them is like being in a home away from home. We strongly recommend this hotel and are really looking forward to come back! / Joanna & Martin
