The bill of £400 was paid when booked by my work. That's not disputed. On arrival at 1 AM the person behind the counter completely f'd up and said it was not paid and i would have to pay the £400 or leave. He could not 'check' untill the morning. Of course I thought no big deal they would just refund it in the morning. Next morning they were very apologetic, confirmed my employer had paid in full - as they had every other time - and refunded me my £400 back to the credit card I had paid with. I thought no more of it afterwards, as most would not. A few weeks later I checked the credit card and the payment had NOT been refunded. The £400 was still missing and the credit card compant was now also charging interest! I have now called then several times, but they just will not give me my money back. There is no discrepancies, they have the work payment, then my payment for the same booking. Im furious, they are very apologetic and even remember issuing the refund and promise to sort it every time but never do or get back to me. My credit card statement clearly shows the payment of £400 was taken but no refund was issued. They cancelled the refund after issuing it, after I walked away thinking it was being refunded. How many times does this happened? How many other times have there system 'messed up' and payments were taken and refunds issued with apologies only for them to cancel. Let's face it no body ever really checks and I'm would.not have noticed myself if it wasn't £400!. How many people visit from another country and have no clue they issue a refund and then cancel the refund that by the time they realise there nit even in the UK anymore. If Premier Inn are reading this then I am still quite happy remove this review and accept it was just the lack of training or an error by desk staff members, who are lovely. I have the statement of my works paying the £400. I have my credit card statement showing the payment to you and no refund. But nobody is disputing the refund was due and issued again the problem is it never went through and I suspect you of having a computer system that is programmed to cancel refunds.
