This is a really good quality hotel, excellent staff. We were given a free upgrade to an Apartment. Excellent breakfast.

We have just spent a few days at this lovely hotel. It is set in beautiful countryside and with lovely views across the sales. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, well trained and efficient. We had dinner each night which was very well cooked and nicely served. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed, especially the bathroom. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel, we will be back!

The Roundthorn made our wedding day on Sat 9th March better than perfect. From the bar and kitchen staff to the waiting on staff, to Anouska our brilliant wedding co-ordinator and the reception team the attention to detail, friendliness and helpfulness, the quality/presentation of the food, the room décor – and even the fancy toilet paper – all was commented on by our guests as out of this world. Our 130 guests unanimously said that this wedding was the best that they have ever been to. There are very few venues and teams like this place.

Beautiful country house with stunning views. Our room was very spacious, with a kitchen area. Room 10, top floor. Breakfast was lovely, with a good choice. We ate in the restaurant and again it was very good food. I would definitely recommend

What a beautiful country hotel where nothing is too much trouble. Stunning bedrooms with amazing views of the fells. Staff are very helpful polite and friendly. Food is great. Very hearty breakfast to set you up for the day and great evening meal

Second stay at this amazing hotel. It's beautiful, rooms are amazing. Food incredibly good. Staff are so helpful and polite, can't do enough for you. Breakfast is a total delight as is the room it is served in. I strongly recommend this hotel, just stunning.

Roundthorn hosted a Cracking night. Great food especially catering for 150 people & great entertainment. Bar & serving staff were friendly & attentive, with nothing being any problem. Ample parking onsite . Will definitely return & use the venue again.

We have recently been to a event at the roundthorn hotel and everything was fab, you couldn’t fault them. the food was amazing and the staff were so friendly, we will definitely be going back ☺️ Food was very quick to be served considering there was a lot of hungry people waiting for their food. I would highly recommend this place 😋

Thought this was a nice place, but then I'm informed they host the hunting ball, the local hunt group that go out for fun torturing and killing the local 🦌 🦊 🐇🐰 and other wildlife. I don't want to be associated with anyone that condones and supports that.
