Spa-Zugang ist nicht in den Preis inbegriffen, kostet eine zusätzliche £15 für 24 Stunden. Die Einrichtungen sind ausgezeichnet, aber das beste Fitnesscenter, das ich in einem Hotel gesehen habe. Penrith ist wunderschön. Absolut empfehlen."

"It was nice we got a newly refurbished room but we were there really late to check in due to cancelled train we had an awful experience! However the staff at George inexperienced could find my booking and wanted me to leave in a few hours after 12am in the dark another staff member came found the booking - he said that staff doesn’t have access - rather than admit he didn’t have access he wanted to kick me out! Even tough I showed him my booking and shared the booking reference! After that stares it was ok.. the staff were lovely! Forgot the veg sausages in my breakfast! It was so delicious we didn’t notice until after breakfast! Anyway 7 out of 10! This was only because of that staff member and the sausages! The place was vintage and homely but very clean!"

"The service was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our experience of the room was adequate, however we could not use the shower it was impossible to have a shower due to the low ceiling so we could not stand up straight. I personally could not use the bath due to myself falling a few years back and having a complete new elbow since this incident I am very cautious of getting into a bath. This being the case I did not have a proper clean. This was not good has we had been hiking and really wanted to get ourselves cleaned up and changed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and you could not fault the food at all it was excellent."

"We stayed a weekend at Lane Head Farm Country Guest House and had a great experience. The location is superb, offering countryside tranquillity with a quick connection to the many walking locations the Lake District has to offer. There's a modern kitchen open to guests and a cosy lounge area as well as a hot tub in the garden with some cracking views. The owner, Suruchi, saw to it that we had everything we needed and was attentive to our needs. She also gave me a cake on my birthday, which was incredibly generous and far beyond what I'd expect of a B&B host. The breakfasts served were all unique and delicious, based on seasonal ingredients and our preferences. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The beds were particularly comfy, which offer a real luxury of duvets under and over where you sleep - like nothing we've ever experienced but incredibly comfortable. For the price we paid, we thought the B&B was great value for money. This B&B is a true gem of the Lake District and a must for vegans or vegetarians."

"We had an overnight stop here. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good - glad to see that there were vegetarian options available. We had an evening meal when we arrived, the food was good, and there were several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The lovely ladies behind the bar were very helpful in find vegetarian suitable wine for me as well."

"After a long day hiking we arrived to a warm welcome from the owner at the George Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the pub was warm and cheerful and just what we wanted after our hike. All the staff were friendly and helpful ( especially the gentleman who served breakfast who we had a nice chat to) The breakfast the next morning was a lovely change from the usual cooked breakfasts we had on the coast to coast walk and set us up perfectly for another long days hike."

Ausgezeichnete Auswahl an Mahlzeiten & wir könnten sogar Pizza bestellen, nachdem die Küche um 8:00 bis 10:00 geschlossen ist. Wir würden sicher noch einmal hier bleiben."

"Top notch B&B - stayed there in June 2023 as part of a group cycling the C2C route. I recall that we had 3 twin rooms and 2 singles. All very comfortable and quite spacious. My twin was good and the en-suite shower was particularly appreciated after a hard day's cycling from Workington. Great breakfast in a very elegant front room with high ceilings and a very large bay window. Also the Glendale has a secure bike shed at the back, which took all 8 of our bikes. Good location for food and drink in the centre of Penrith - 5 minutes walk away. I don't normally eat pizza, but I must say that Villa Bianca makes some of the best one's in the area."
