Wir waren zwei Nächte im Tau House und haben uns mit der Hotelsuche in Guatapé schwer getan. Das Hotel würde ich nach deutschem Standard in die 3-Sterne Kategorie einsortieren. Pro: Großes Doppelzimmer mit zwei Betten, großer Balkon und schönen Blick auf die Seenlandschaft. Das Hotel liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel, aber man hat aufgrund der relativ geringen Höhe keinen Weitblick. Außenanlagen ganz schön Das Hotel befindet sich unterhalb des Piedra Peñol Felsens und man kann zu Fuß dorthin starten. Wir haben uns vor dem Frühstück mit dem Tuktuk hinbringen lassen und haben dann die ca. 700 Stufen erklommen. Auf unserem Rückweg um ca. 10:00 Uhr füllte es sich dann deutlich. Tipp: Früh losgehen. Lage: ca 5-10 Minuten mit Tuktuk ins Ortszentrum Contra: Zimmer hellhörig und etwas abgewohnt Obwohl das Hotel nicht gut gebucht war, durften wir erst um 15:00 Uhr auf das Zimmer Das Essen im Restaurant im Hotel (Frühstück und Abendessen war nur mittelmäßig. Nichts besonderes. Kein guter Koch. Teppiche wirkten alt. Lauter Kühlschrank neben Bett Kein Swimmingpool, sondern nur ein Whirlpool vorhanden Wir würden das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen. Der Übernachtungspreis für ca 190 Euro inkl Frühstück war für die Leistung zu hoch.

It’s a lovely hotel right on the bank of one of the lakes in Guatapé, nice design and nice rooms with relatively high price, supposed to be a luxury hotel but unfortunately there were no hot water in the shower ( for the 2 days we spent there) …and the more annoying part was that the hotel stuff were trying to convince us that the cold water are “medium temperature” which we can take a shower with..

We loved this hotel. They have about 16 rooms and it has a very homey feel. The manager is on site and always around if you need anything. The hotel is located on Guatape Lake and is absolutely gorgeous. We ended up staying here one night so that we can visit El Peñol and Guatape town and we’re really glad we did. Our room was huge with a hot tub on the balcony and views of the lake. The hot tub was very hot and perfect after the day of climbing the rock! Breakfast was very good. It was not buffet style, but a la cart and included . The gym had views of the lake and the hotel offers yoga, kayaking etc at an additional cost. Tau house is super peaceful and set on an idyllic back drop and perfect for relaxation! I would recommend staying here one night if you’re visiting Guatape.

The staff was amazing, more specifically Elian; he was very attentive, friendly, and respectful. The only feedback I have is regarding the road that leads to the hotel, which is a dirt road with big potholes that can damage your car, they should pave it soon since it leads to others hotels as well.

The best experience ever. This place is a 10 out of 10 I love the atmosphere. The room was impecable and beautiful. The view was amazing!!!! The staff is extremely friendly. If I can say something that I was expecting and didn't get was A/C rooms or a ceiling fan would of been better than the floor fan we got because it honestly didn't help much. Was sweating through the night. But, even we that. I loved every minute I stayed there Will definitely comeback.

Honestly this hotel was beautiful and really won our hearts!! We actually did not to leave we wanted to live here!!!! The area, the building , the beautiful decor and views were outstanding! The staff were so attentive, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble!! Please if you are reading this and are wondering whether to go or not …. Just book it you won’t be disappointed!!!

I will highly recommend this property. If you want to relax, disconnect and reset, this is the place to be. The serenity, tranquility and view of this place are indescribable. Pleasant and attentive personnel, food delicious, service to high standards, rooms spacious and clean, activities offered like tour to the city of Guatape and El Peñol. I recommend you to take the motochiva or Tuc-Tuc to the city and walk around also to el Peñol. However, take the boat with them, the adventure is incredible. The full body massage was the best massage I had ever had. They hit all the pressure and knob points, as well as relaxing. Great job!!

Great boutique and modern hotel right next to La Piedra del Peñol. The staff and amenities are amazing. The restaurant serves delicious food. Daniela and Lorena in the front desk will help you with your every need and Alejandro, Carlos and Cesar will serve the best food and drinks.
