IIrenegreenDie Lage ist praktisch, nicht weit vom JR-Bahnhof und Busbahnhof entfernt, es gibt auch Lebensmittelgeschäfte in der Nähe und auch der Umekoji-Park ist wunderschön. Die Terrasse hat eine wirklich schöne Aussicht. Das Schlimme ist, dass die Vorräte nicht vollständig sind, es keine Einwegpantoffeln, Duschhauben etc. gibt und man diese in der Nähe der Rezeption abholen muss. Statt Duschgel bekommt man Seife und es gibt nur ein Stück , das nach dem Waschen sehr trocken ist. Man muss Wasser von draußen holen. Die Minibar ist nicht lange genug geöffnet und nicht 24 Stunden am Tag geöffnet. Es gibt viele öffentliche Einrichtungen, aber nicht für Menschen geeignet, haha. Während der Kirschblütenzeit ist der Zimmerpreis etwas hoch

Located in the charming Higashiyama neighborhood, it offers an ideal launching point for discovering Kyoto’s historic sites. Despite being so close to famous temples and shrines, the hotel maintains a tranquil setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city.
From check-in onward, I was warmly welcomed by the professional and attentive team. Their devotion to creating a memorable guest experience was evident in every conversation. Whether offering sightseeing suggestions or promptly assisting with any need, they made me feel completely at home.
My room showcased an attractive fusion of modern design and traditional Japanese elements. Soft earth tones, tasteful décor, and well-chosen furnishings created an atmosphere that was both chic and peaceful. The spacious bathtub, in particular, stood out as the perfect place to unwind after wandering Kyoto’s centuries-old streets.
Although I didn’t have a chance to sample the hotel’s dining options, every other aspect of my stay was faultless. The exquisite decor, the serene environment, and the staff’s unparalleled service exceeded all my expectations. If you’re seeking a sophisticated, relaxing retreat that still allows you to easily explore Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage, Saka Hotel Kyoto is an excellent choice.

Wwaterlily9Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, direkt über dem Bahnhof Kyoto. Die Lobby ist sehr groß. Es fühlt sich an wie in einem Hotel, das eher traditionelle Reisegruppen akzeptiert. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich groß und das Bett ist etwas weich. Die Anzahl der Steckdosen im Hotel ist relativ gering, eine am Bett, eine auf dem Tisch, eine im Badezimmer und zwei in Bodennähe neben der Tür. Wenn Sie viele Elektrogeräte haben, empfiehlt es sich, eine kleine Verlängerungsleiste mitzubringen. Darüber hinaus ist WLAN problematischer und erfordert eine tägliche Authentifizierung.

IIRADAThough the hotel itself is good (I’m staying here for a second time), this time the service was awful.1) went to breakfast, me and my friend ordered 2 dishes, when in 20 mins time there still was nothing, we reminded a waitress of our order… another 20 mins - still nothing. All in all we spent 40 mins at the breakfast restaurant and didn’t get our food. When we explained this to the hostess she just said “sorry” and we left the restaurant hungry. 2) ordered afternoon tea for 3 persons (afternoon tea is served at another restaurant at the hotel). 2 normal sets and 1 for a person who doesn’t like dairy products. That person is me. I explained that I have no allergy, I just don’t like the taste of milk, cheese, et cetera. So I’m fine with bread and with sweets, just not the ones that have cheese on top. In the end instead of the sweets they brought me a fruit platter (that’s all, my friends got a lot of different sweets), when I again explained to the hostess that I’m fine with sweets (sweet bread) and would like to eat the sweets included in the afternoon tea set she just said that they “prepared smth else” for me (she meant the fruit platter). No apology no anything. Mind you, I ordered afternoon tea last year at this same place - everything was alright! As this is a 5 star hotel and everything here is rather expensive (including breakfast and afternoon tea) this is unacceptable level if service.

XXiaomai935Die beste Wahl für meine Reise nach Kyoto während der Maifeiertage ist, in diesem Hotel zu übernachten. Die Lage ist sehr gut, direkt neben Kyoto Takashimaya. Es ist sehr praktisch, um zu essen, einzukaufen und verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen Etwa 6 Minuten zu Fuß nach Kamogawa und zum Bahnhof Kyoto. Die Fahrt mit dem Taxi kostete etwa 1.300 Yen. Da ich nicht rechtzeitig das gleiche Familienvierbettzimmer buchen konnte, hat mir das Hotel ein Upgrade gegeben In Verbindung mit der sauberen Umgebung war unsere Reise voller Überraschungen. Ich werde dieses Hotel wieder wählen, wenn ich nach Kyoto komme.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard.
However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements:
1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue.
2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition.
3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience.
4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated.
5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space.
6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering.
In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction.
If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards.

GGastnutzerDas Zimmer ist nicht zu klein und die Ausstattung ist ziemlich gut. Es ist etwas weit vom JR-Bahnhof Kyoto entfernt. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus jede halbe Stunde. Ich habe bei der Reservierung kein Frühstück bestellt, also habe ich darüber nachgedacht, zum JR-Bahnhof zu gehen, um Ramen zu essen, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass die Ramen erst um 11 Uhr öffnen. Allerdings gibt es gegenüber dem Hotel ein Restaurant, das ein wenig wie ein japanisches Familienrestaurant wirkt. Es öffnet gegen 8 Uhr morgens und bietet ziemlich gute japanische und westliche Gerichte.
