7.5/10 Location: Outside of “central” Athens but easily connected by metro & buses. Kifisia is gorgeous, safe, filled with high end boutiques, restaurants + cafes. Room/Ambience: Hotel itself is stunning + very relaxing vibe. Decor details incredible as expected of a boutique hotel of this nature.  Food: Very good selection of hot + cold, plus actual barista coffee. Do not expect American style breakfast - this is Europe after all. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the menus looked great and was filled with locals in the evening. Service: Although reception staff were sufficiently friendly, service very lacking for a high end boutique hotel. It was 26 degrees celsius every day while in Athens. Not prior to our stay, nor during check-in did anyone advise us that the pool was closed likely until end of May. This is not advertised on any booking platform, or on the hotel website, which was very disappointing. We sat in the pool lounge chairs for over two hours (staff saw us as the restaurant is immediately adjacent). Nobody offered us pool towels to lie on, or if we wanted to order any drinks or food. My partner had to get dressed, go to reception and ask. They didn’t even offer to clean the pool given the hot weather made it ready for use. It really put a downer on our stay, and why we opted not to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Similar experience at breakfast; nobody offered us coffee orders, we heard someone else order and realised it was available.

This place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example). The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible. Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log. Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense. Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

Ich habe hier drei Nächte auf einer Geschäftsreise verbracht. Der Parthenon und das Neue Akropolismuseum sind fußläufig erreichbar. Auch die vielen griechischen Restaurants in der Nähe machen die Lage hervorragend. Die Rezeptionisten waren freundlich. Der Frühstücksraum ist zwar nicht besonders groß, bietet aber eine entspannte Atmosphäre, in der man sein Frühstück genießen kann. Das Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Größe und viel Platz zum Entspannen. Die Dusche hatte einen guten Wasserdruck, aber leider fehlte der Stöpsel in der Badewanne, sodass ich sie nicht benutzen konnte. Der Aufzug hatte einen schönen Retro-Charme, fuhr aber langsam. Obwohl es das genaue Gegenteil eines modernen Hotels ist, finde ich es einen tollen Ort zum Entspannen in einem historischen europäischen Hotel.

Dieses Hotel im Hafen ist ein wahres Juwel. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und sehr sauber bietet es alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt vor einer Kreuzfahrt benötigt. Wir kamen sehr spät abends an und wurden herzlich empfangen und im Handumdrehen eingecheckt. Das WLAN ist kostenlos und schnell, und das inkludierte Frühstücksbuffet war sehr willkommen. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich eine Kreuzfahrt antreten würde, die nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt ist.

Their professionalism, warmth, and authentic care for every guest are what make this hotel unforgettable. In a world where AI is becoming part of everything, experiences like this are a reminder that genuine human kindness and exceptional service simply can’t be replaced.

Our first trip to Europe, so there were things that I imagine are very European. Tiny elevators and key card access to power your room were a first for us. We were only there for one night before leaving on a cruise, but overall I was very happy with our stay. The front desk check in was excellent and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The loud returning guest at 1:30 in the morning were the only irritant, and that was bad guests and not the hotels fault.

Nach dem Einchecken mehr als 30 Minuten auf den Zimmerschlüssel warten, mehr als 10 Minuten auf den Lift zum Frühstück warten. Unhöfliches Gepäckpersonal. Sehr nettes Personal am Pool auf dem Dach. Kein Schatten am Pool verfügbar (ich verstehe, dass sie wegen des Windes keine Sonnenschirme aufs Dach stellen können, aber beim Pool auf Ebene 1 im Innenhof verstehe ich das nicht). Wenn Sie nicht nach einer Geduldsprobe suchen, meiden Sie das. Check-in/Check-out-Warteschlange auf dem Bild um 15 Uhr. Schlimmer um 10/11 Uhr

Ich wohnte in einem Einzelzimmer im 4. Stock. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte ein Fenster, das sich öffnen ließ. Es gab einen neuen Kühlschrank, der fantastisch war, und ich konnte mir eiskalte Getränke zubereiten. Das Badezimmer war klein, aber mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und mit frischen Handtüchern und Bettwäsche versorgt. Die Reinigungskraft war sehr freundlich. Es gab genügend Platz für mein Gepäck; es war zwar etwas eng, aber für den Preis absolut in Ordnung. Ich habe jeden Morgen gefrühstückt. Der Frühstücksraum war sehr schön. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber alles war sehr frisch und ansprechend angerichtet. Im 1. Stock roch es stark nach Tabak, und ich nahm an, dass es sich um die Raucheretage handelte. Im 4. Stock, wo ich wohnte, war es sehr ruhig, und ich roch überhaupt keinen Rauch. Als Nichtraucher ist mir das sehr wichtig! Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt zentral; alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Athens sind in nur 20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Spaziergang dorthin ist wirklich schön! Es gibt viele interessante Geschäfte! Das Archäologische Museum ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Hotel entfernt – die Lage ist also ideal. Der Hauptbahnhof ist nur 15 Gehminuten entfernt. Gleich um die Ecke gibt es ein tolles Restaurant für ca. 12 Euro – ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Gegend haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Als alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich im Hotel sehr sicher gefühlt. Es ist ein einfaches, sauberes Hotel zu einem günstigen Preis. Die beigefügten Bilder zeigen die erwähnten Dinge, inklusive Fotos vom Zimmer.

Da es unsere Flitterwochen waren, war dies unsere erste Buchung und es war nahezu perfekt. Die Lage war nicht ideal, da es abgelegen war, aber das Hotel war sehr schön und hatte alles, was wir brauchten.

The exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly. None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly. The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough. The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long. The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
