Small touches like a Xiaomi scale and ready-to-use adapters made it easy. And with our late check-in, they prepared the room perfectly — they did turndown service.

MMichelleLocation is good, good security control, service staff are friendly. Airport shuttle was provided, though I was the only guest when I arrived. I wanted to compliment the driver who picked me up, Ahmed, who was very welcoming and introduced Egypt’s buildings and street on our way to hotel. :)
I visited in January, stayed for 2 nights and the weather was cool, my hotel room oversees the outdoor pool.
I realized the shower gel and shampoo at the bath tub were empty, and was not topped up during the 2 days. Fortunately there’s backup at the shower area. The housekeeping could be improved. Other than that, my stay was quite present.

AAnn-MLDie Lage des Hotels ist gut, am schönen Neil, etwa 2 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, die Zimmer sind noch hygienisch, keine Zahngeräte, es gibt einmalige Schleifen, die Schale braucht eine Umwandlung von Euro-Symbolen, das Hotel in Kairo ist in der Regel alt, die Anforderungen können nicht zu hoch sein, die Stimmung des Aufenthalts ist gut 😊

MM333908****Sehr gut. Das Zimmer ist nicht groß, aber das Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Lage im Botschaftsviertel ist ebenfalls gut. Ich empfehle nicht, den Zimmerservice zu bestellen, da er etwas teuer ist. Man kann selbst über Talabat Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellen. Ich habe bestellt, aber der Lieferbote sprach kein Englisch. Ich gab dem Mitarbeiter an der Tür meine Telefonnummer und er lieferte schnell. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden.

AAhmed TAHER 75Ich möchte meine Erfahrung im Hilton Cairo Heliopolis teilen. Sie war wirklich wunderbar, und das Personal war sehr höflich, freundlich und hilfsbereit, insbesondere Ahmed Zizo an der Rezeption. Auch die Mitarbeiter in den Restaurants und beim Zimmerservice waren überaus zuvorkommend.

Would stay there again but if you want to be in the town centre with many shops you need to stay closer to city centre as this, was, about 30 minutes from airport. It didn't matter because everything is a short cheap taxi fare away. Also it's next to a military camp where you can see and hear the soldiers marching from your balcony. If the bugle noise bothers, you at 6am then maybe not for you. Also, but not related to the hotel you'll be woken up at 4am by the, wailing from the mosques but you can't really get away from that can you. The hotel I understand is, owned by the military and so you'll often see soldiers stay there. They weren't any trouble. In fact it made you feel safe.

Vorhang und Teppich waren ebenfalls neu und einladend. Die Bettwäsche war sauber. Das Badezimmer war sauber. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Es scheint, dass die Zimmer renoviert werden, seit andere Bewertungen geschrieben wurden. Viele Bewertungen scheinen hart, wenn man den Preis bedenkt, den man zahlt. Es ist schließlich ein gehobener Budget-Aufenthalt. Wir bekamen Seife, Toilettenpapier und Handtuch. Man kann nicht alles für einen günstigen Preis erwarten. Der Rezeptionsbereich war schön für den Ramadan dekoriert und das Personal war freundlich. Die Lage ist großartig und ein unterhaltsamer Teil von Kairo zum Erkunden. Schöne Nachtmärkte! Typische Stadtgeräusche, aber nicht zu laut zum Schlafen, wenn man bedenkt, dass es das Stadtzentrum ist. Die Schiebetüren des Balkons sind neu und schließen, aber es gibt keine nennenswerte Aussicht. Andere Gäste, die wir sahen, schienen zufrieden zu sein, da sie sich im öffentlichen Bereich unterhielten. Ich habe mit ********* im Voraus bezahlt, um Zahlungsprobleme zu vermeiden. Die öffentlichen Bereiche müssen noch etwas renoviert und repariert werden, aber auch dies hat den Komfort meines Aufenthalts nicht beeinträchtigt und es war akzeptabel, dass es abgestaubt und sauber war. Es ist gut für Kairo. Wir haben es genossen, den malerischen Aufzug im Jugendstil mit vergoldetem Dekor zu benutzen! Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung.

Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
