My first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

The service was quite inconsistent, one staff member was friendly and helpful, while another was VERY unfriendly. The room was clean though. They can also arrange a shuttle bus from the hotel to Sydney Airport for $10 per person.

Veriu erfüllte unsere Anforderungen an eine saubere, neu gestaltete Einzimmerwohnung. Die Lage war günstig, in der Nähe des Einkaufszentrums Macquarie und nur eine U-Bahn-Station entfernt. Uns gefiel das Design mit seinen klaren Linien und dem modernen Look. Das Schlafzimmer war geräumig, ein Kleiderschrank wäre aber noch besser gewesen. Wir sind zufrieden!

Nach drei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen Aufenthalt teilte das Hotel beim Einchecken mit, dass es den Kundenwunsch (Bedarf eines Doppelbetts) vom Agenten nicht erhalten habe. Der Luftauslass in Ihrem Wohnraum ist sehr laut, daher sollten geräuschempfindliche Personen bei der Auswahl vorsichtig sein. Die große, laute Sorte. Das Bett ist sehr klein, in der Nähe des U-Bahn-Eingangs und der Preis ist nicht erschwinglich. Man kann es mit anderen Hotels vergleichen.

Das Rydges Hotel befindet sich am World Square im Zentrum von Sydney. Die Lage ist hervorragend: Chinatown, Thai Town, der Hay Market, das Rathaus, das Queen Victoria Building, Woolworths und ein koreanischer Supermarkt sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Das Hotel bietet komfortable Einrichtungen für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt und ist für alle Arten von Reisenden geeignet. Zur Ausstattung gehören Ballsäle, ein Restaurant, eine Bar und ein Concierge-Service für Ausflüge. Das Hotel bietet tägliche Zimmerreinigung mit hilfsbereitem Personal und eine freundliche Gepäckaufbewahrung. Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Erhielt eine upgrade, die ein massiver Bonus ist. Zimmer super komfortabel und sauber. 1 kleines Problem ist, sie renovieren die Vorhalle so kann man sich abmühen, um einige. Keine Parkplätze, viele Tourgruppen die Fahrer können recht aggressiv im festgelegten Bereich sein. Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung. Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist. Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends. Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr. Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt. Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren. Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.

Check-in ist bis 22:30 Uhr. Ich war um 21 Uhr am Flughafen Sydney. Dann musste ich noch meinen Mietwagen abholen. War dann gegen 23 Uhr am Hotel. Hatte vorher per Trip.de das Hotel kontaktiert, dass ich später komme. Kein Problem! Die nette Dame hat mich herzlich empfangen. Sie verlangte lediglich meinen Personalausweis, dann gab sie mir meine Key-Card. Parken ist kostenlos. Wenn Sie einchecken, können sie links gegenüber des Büros ihr Auto für einige Minuten parken. Wenn sie eingecheckt haben, besteht die Möglichkeit, mit der Keycard ein Tor zu öffnen, wo sie ihr Auto parken können. Das geht dann auch wieder zu (zur Sicherheit). Also einfach – wenn sie einfahren wollen – die Karte rechts neben dem Büro vorhalten, dann geht das Tor auf. Wenn sie raus möchten, ist, wenn sie rauswollen, rechts ein Steuerelement, da einfach drücken, dann geht das Tor auf. Parkplätze sind für Suzukis kein Problem. Gleich neben den Parkplätzen gibt es eine Treppe, die führt sie in ihre Zimmer. Negativ zu erwähnen: kein Fahrstuhl. Die Zimmerausstattung: Shampoo 2 Mal und Conditioner 2 Mal. Frische Handtücher. Das Badezimmer ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Fliesen sind in einem desolaten Zustand und wenn die Tür vom Badezimmer aufgelassen wird, brennt ein permanentes Licht von draußen Waschbecken vorhanden (warm Wasser), aber der Spiegel ist links. Haartrockner vorhanden. Das Bett ist bequem und groß. Passen locker zwei Leute drauf. Dazu gibt es noch ein zusätzliches Bett. Dieses steht links neben dem Fenster. Welchen Zweck das Bett erfüllt, erscheint mir nicht ganz simpel. Die Wände ähneln einem Gefängnis. Fernseher ist vorhanden. Es gibt einen Teekocher und Instantkaffee plus Tee. Löffel und Tassen sind auch vorhanden. Gegenüber des Bettes ist ein großer Spiegel. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert nur sporadisch. Vorteil. Nah am Flughafen. Gratis parken, günstige Preise. Eigenes Badezimmer. Aldi in 20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Einige riesige Spinne (für europäische Verhältnisse) hat mich im Zimmer besucht ;D Fazit: Für ein bis zwei Tage reicht es völlig aus.
