This is a glorified motel that does not deserve the prices it charges.
It's old, carpets are filthy, the light in our room didn't work and the air conditioning is a prehistoric unit mounted on the wall.
The first time we tried to go to the pool at 4pm it was overcrowded with drunks and the music was blaring.
So, the second time we figured we'd go early to avoid this.
We went at 9am only to find that every single chair had a towel on it but nobody was there. My thought is that the partiers put the towel down then go back to bed till the afternoon and come back to their "reserved" chair.
With nobody there we did get to see how milky the water was so we decided to not go back.
And to add to that we got charged $49 per night resort fee, and we couldn't even use the pool.
To sum up this experience I'd say unless you're under 30 and plan to party all weekend you should just stay elsewhere.
As far as the "hotel" is concerned I'd say they put lipstick on a pig.
I have never written a review let alone a negative one, which speaks as to how bad this place is.

I took my two teen daughters on vacation. We stayed at this property and absolutely loved it. Clearly it's an older building, however, it was clean and our room was comfortable.
I loved the fun colours and mid-century modern touches. The staff were amazing. We enjoyed several days pool side. Each day the pool area was clean and new towels laid out. Very attentive to detail. We would absolutely visit again.

The photos look amazing, but the physical experience is the opposite.
1. Glorified motel
2. Fully paid for a two-queen bed and was told, "We sold out and gave a king and a futon!"
3. Oder infested hallways
4. Dirty bathroom vents
5. Strached tub and bathroom
6. Oder infested carpets
7. Overpriced
Not a place to visit again. Stay away!

I was not able to sleep all night due to the amount of noise coming from the hallway and from the people upstairs, it was super noisy, first and last time I would stay at the saguaro.

Overall my stay was fine. The staff got me checked in easily and were friendly enough but I didn’t feel that it was anything beyond the normal expected service. The hotel/room was dilapidated in my opinion. Stained carpet, patchy paint, dirty AC unit, etc. not that impressed. I didn’t have a bad stay, but I’d book elsewhere in the future.

The Saguaro strategy to take an old hotel, paint it and make it hipster requires constant maintenance and attention to detail. That's not happening
