Desert Sun Resort

Very impressed with this place, expensive, but worth it. The man on the Reception was very helpful in explaining everything. The room had plenty of towels and toiletries. There isn't a coffee-machine in the room, but there is one in Reception. The grounds are lovely, with great views of the hills, two swimming pools, a jacuzzi, a pool table, tennis courts. We only used one of the swimming pools (which was beautifully warm) and the jacuzzi (which was great). The only downside of being close to the hills is that the sun goes down just after 3:30 in November, after which the air temperature quickly cools off. But by 8:30am it was warm enough for sunbathing (although we were told it isn't normally that warm in November). Plenty of restaurants within walking distance - we went to the Gastropub for drinks then Billy Reeds for food, both of which were extremely good, although expensive (I think the whole of Palm Springs is expensive!)

We spent Halloween with the DSR crew again this year. While things may be a little quieter there these days, the resort continues to set the gold standard in clothing optional recreation. The facilities are top notch, the staff is amazing and responsive and the resort itself is simply beautiful.. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, the pools are crazy clean and the atmosphere is always welcoming and fun. On top of that ,downtown is a relatively short walk away and Palm Springs has a veritable cornucopia of world class restaurants and shopping. We've already made our plans to return next year!!

Staff always attentive and accommodating !! Albert is the best ! Grounds always immaculate , rooms clean and inviting! Always a pleasure ! Already planning our next visit. Comfortable atmosphere the other guests all adhere to the rules. Give it a try

Place was clean. Service was amazing. Staff was friendly and very helpful. It was a little empty and not too much to do. Although it seemed like everybody there enjoyed that! It’s a very subdued atmosphere. People are friendly and pretty PG. Nice place

Beware of their cancellation policy!! Apparently it is not what they posted online, my wife and I had a reservation for 09/01/2023 due to a unexpected personal event we had to cancel our stay, I called them on 08/23/2023 to cancel, I spoke with Kimberly and explained that we needed to cancel, she was very nice, she canceled the reservation and said she would email me a confirmation email, I received a email stating that cancellation number and notice that I forfeited my entire $406,00 deposit, I called back 08/23/2023 and spoke with Kimberly again, I asked about the cancellation charge, she said that was the policy, I informed her that I was currently on the website and reading the policy and that it was not what she was telling me, she then told me that she was a new employee (1 week working there) she said that the policy is explained when booking the reservation, I did a online reservation, I was told that I could call back tomorrow 08/24/2023 and try and reach Theresa the manager, she didn’t offer to help me or have Theresa contact me, I’m very disappointed with being charged for a full day for canceling, that being said, my wife and I have stayed at this resort 6 times in the past, it’s really a wonderful place, but I will not return if this is the way they handle their business!! This was the first time that my wife and I have went to a clothing optional resort…and let me say, it was the one of the best, stress-free vacations of our life! To say we were nervous is a huge understatement. But the staff and the other patrons were so accepting and friendly, it speaks volumes about the nudist community. Count us as converts and ones who will be back to Desert Sun Resort!
