Hotel Hacienda

Unsere Erfahrung war schrecklich. Wir kamen am späten Nachmittag mit dem Flugzeug und dem Taxi an und erfuhren, dass unsere „bestätigte“ Buchung tatsächlich doppelt gebucht worden war und unser Junior-Apar**ent bereits von jemand anderem belegt war. Man bot uns ein Zimmer in einem schäbigen Haus in der Nähe an, das wir für eine Nacht bezahlten, da wir nicht auf der Straße schlafen wollten und für so etwas schon etwas zu alt waren (ich bin 75). Wir stellten unsere Taschen im Haus ab und gingen zum Essen in die Stadt. Unterwegs fanden wir ein kleines Hotel und buchten ein Zimmer. Wir gingen zurück in das gruselige Haus, holten unsere Taschen und gaben unsere Schlüssel an der Rezeption zurück. Uns wurde keine Rückerstattung angeboten. Was für ein toller Start in unseren 6-tägigen Aufenthalt in Oaxaca, das ansonsten ein wunderschöner Ort ist!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property and what more can I say? This place is outstanding! It was the first time for my wife. She loved it. We spent three weeks at this property in January 2024 and it was idyllic. The weather was perfect. The service was impecable. The restaurant hours were appropriate and the food was outstanding. The owner and the receptionist manager went out of their way to make our stay incredible. The price point of this hotel is what really makes it an extremely good value. One final note to add about our stay in Oaxaca was that they are now offering a rideshare app called DiDi. We discovered it halfway through our trip and it isn’t Uber but it is close. You can request a ride and they will tell you how much it will cost and you can either except it or decline it. The drivers name and license plate number shows up on the app. This took out any negotiations that we were having to deal with the regular taxi drivers. Plus we could watch for the driver and we knew how close he was getting. This is a must have app if you’re visiting Oaxaca. Yes, you still have to pay him with pesos, but it is much better than hailing a cab or calling a cab. Just download the app and put in your information. If you have a picture of yourself, that really helps the driver find you on the streets. Unfortunately, you cannot use DiDi to depart the airport but you can when return. Government. Grrrr!

Started off standing in line to get booked in one person at the counter. Another guy walks in behind me, and a kid that was just wandering around takes him so I wait 20 minutes to get checked in. Then get to the room had dirty Q-tips, laying on the chair as soon as you walked in Doors between the Jason bedroom were locked. Had to wait to get someone to unlock them to be able to use the second bedroom.

Stayed in Oaxaca for 3 nights. This hotel was central for us and it had the parking that we needed. The road traffic was noisy but nothing that ear plugs didn't fix. Rooms were spotless!!

The hotel was OK we checked and people are not very friendly. We had asked for a couple of things to try to get the room early. No chance of that which was fine by us but we did get the room. We had two rooms reserved. Call Flynn trying to get this together which we requested, but we were one side to the other side, which is a very good size property because we had our elderly mother with us and one of your close by which they would not help us out. When we got to the room was no remote for the air conditioner. We had to ask and wait for that. The TV had problems had to get that fixed and then there was paint falling off the walls in our room . I would not recommend a place at a rating of 8.6 by no means more in the absence of a bad and 5 or a 6 at best. They did come and clean the room every day. And gave you two waters every day. But never replenish the soap or the shampoo.

Everything was great!! 9 out of 10!! Just Restaurant staff wasn’t very friendly but everything was great!!

Pros: •Great customer service •Decent size swimming pool (Non-Heated) •Good food at the hotel restaurant (Gracias Abraham) •Rooms were spacious •Beds were a little on firm side but comfortable • Clean facilities (Cleaning crew were always helpful, hardworking, and friendly) (Gracias Soledad) Cons: • A bit of walking distance to the Zócalo ( Although taxis are always available) • A/C was not working properly in my room, but luckily the weather was nice. •Although WiFi is available it is very unstable and doesn’t really work. Over all I recommend the hotel if you are planning to visit the beautiful city of Oaxaca!
