The enjoyed hearing the history behind it. I do like Bed and Breakfast that have the owner there better and not just hired staff.

It was lovely. Excellent breakfast. We were the only guests this time so we missed the conversation with other travellers. However it was December, and not high season.

Bed wasn’t very comfy and recommend you bring your own pillow for comfort!

There was only one staff member handling check-ins, so when I first entered, I couldn't get assistance right away and had to wait. I tried calling the number listed at the front desk, but there was no response. When I asked a cleaning staff member about the check-in, they flatly refused to help, stating they couldn't assist, and didn't connect me to the responsible staff. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was finally able to check in, and the staff handling the check-in was friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was in good condition, clean, and cozy. However, the value for money wasn't justified at this price.

The bed was terrible, needs a ton of upkeep. Guests on our second night were up talking loudly and being disruptive until well past midnight. Won’t be staying here again.

A beautiful historic property facing the lake. Charming decor. Conveniently located and walkable to the downtown and theatre. Breakfast was fantastic.
The room was comfortable and spacious. Excellent experience.

Beautiful old property with lots of history. Staff were great and the breakfast was very good. Buyer beware - the bed seems to be as old as the house. An upgrade on sleeping arrangements is very much needed. Otherwise- very good!

Pros: Staff at check in was friendly. Common area to share with other guests was great for us as a group that stayed there. Very conveniently located for our purposes. Easy access coffee station was a nice touch.
Cons: They called me the day before telling me they double booked our king bed room and we're being downgraded to a queen. Everything in the room rattled quite a bit just walking around. The (smaller) bed wasn't particularly comfortable. After confirming early check in would be provided for us our accommodation wasn't ready for our arrival. The other reviews particularly raved about the breakfast but it was pleasantly average. We were specifically told to put special requests on our menu form (ex. Add side of bacon) and they were not provided.
Overall decent stay with a great location but some technical difficulties would have me not desperate to return again

Beautiful old building. Only a block from the waterfront, and just a couple blocks from the quainte stores and restaurants. Fort George is also walkable from here. The breakfasts were delicious, and delivered with a smile by the lovely staff. The common area is tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable here.
