Well what can I say except don’t use air BnB in crete! The false information they display on their listing stating ‘hot water’ when in fact it means no hot water until the sun heats the solar panels in order to have a shower??? And they forget to mention the stray, diseased, injured, starving cats that infest the villages around the island!! Tragic and devastating that it made the experience much worse. Now if we had cat allergies what would have we done? Misleading information yet again!! The properties all have faults and don’t mention the abandoned, vandalised rubbish thrown everywhere right next door to the house you’ve just rented for the exorbitant price! It’s all a joke and deceitful behaviour in order to receive money!!! What a joke Never again will I be returning to crete and it’s villages. You get ripped off with prices and being a cat lover I was devastated daily as to how this can be happening in this century. The rudeness and lack of customer service from some businesses!! How ridiculous and they want your money?? Whilst sitting at a car hire place waiting to lease a car the owner was screaming in Greek to a colleague and then answered the phone babbling in Greek all while we were still sitting there? It was an absolute joke! The supermarket workers all calling out to other staff in the store all while scanning our items through and then once transaction complete and handing change they throw the money at you while talking in Greek across the whole shop!! Never have I ever experienced such rudeness!! Don’t ever come to crete Absolute livid for spending money in this country. Don’t go!!!
