Wir hatten zum Abschluss unserer 15-tägigen Oman-Reise ein Zimmer mit Poolblick für zwei Nächte gebucht. Die junge Mitarbeiterin bot uns bei unserer Ankunft ein Zimmer mit Straßenblick an. Enttäuschung! Wir informierten sie und dieser Fehler wurde sofort behoben. Wunderschöner Pool, in dem man richtig schwimmen kann, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, bequeme Betten, ein wunderschöner Strand in der Nähe und ein hervorragender Autowaschservice an der nahegelegenen Shell-Tankstelle, um unseren Mietwagen zurückzugeben, bevor wir im grauen Herbst nach Frankreich zurückkehrten. Viel Charme in diesem großen, renovierten Familienhaus, in dem wir uns wie zu Hause entspannen konnten!

Perfekt place to stay during Muscat and areas around visit. Very friendly and helpful stuff, cozy and clean rooms and everything. We were happy to stay there and for sure will choose it again!

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, leckeres Frühstück, toller Pool, ideal um nach dem Sightseeing in entspannter Atmosphäre zu relaxen. Zum Meer sind es nur ein paar Schritte und der Flughafen ist in 10 min zu erreichen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Was für ein Hotel Kleinod?! Was für eine charmante, gepflegte Anlage mit einem großen Pool. 50 Meter vom Strand. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und bestens betreut während unseres Aufenthaltes. Die Umsorgung der Gäste ging so weit, dass der überaus freundliche tolle Hotelbesitzer uns ein Outfit für die Oper lieh aus seinem privaten Bestand, weil wir nur über Outdoor Kleidung verfügten. Wir waren zu Beginn des Urlaubs da und weil es uns so gut gefallen hat, auch am Ende. Die Zimmer sind groß, liebevoll eingerichtet, z. T. mit Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir haben uns rund herum sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben das Behlys am Beginn unserer Rundreise besucht und dann ganz spontan für die letzte Nacht ein Zimmer gebucht. Ausschlaggebend war die Nähe zum Flughafen und das freundliche Angebot, das Zimmer bis zum sehr späten Abflug in der Nascht nutzen zu dürfen. Ein schöner Strand befindet sich wenige Gehminuten hinter dem Haus, das in ruhiger Wohngegend liegt. Eine Einstellgarage stand für den Mietwagen zur Verfügung. Das Behlys liegt auch für alle sonstigen Unternehmungen günstig, man benötigt ohnehin einen Mietwagen in Muskat, um sich alles ansehen zu können. Wir hatten sehr sehr großzügiges Zimmer im ersten Stock. Im Erdgeschoss stehen eine große Küche und ein Wohnzimmer zur Verfügung. Das leckere Frühstück wurde uns im Garten serviert. Alle Räume sind sehr gepflegt, liebevoll dekoriert und sauber, viele Bücher und Infomaterial liegen im Wohnzimmer bereit. Auch den großen Pool haben wir genossen. Überhaupt fühlt man sich im Behlys mehr wie im eigenen Zuhause als in einem Hotel, was sicher auch an dem überaus netten und zuvorkommenden Gastgeber und seinen leben und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiterinnen liegt.

We stayed for 4 nights as a family (two children aged 9 and 11) in a very spacious room with a beautiful view of the pool. The common areas are cozy and well-kept, with comfortable armchairs, guides, and maps of Oman available for guests. All the staff were extremely kind. The owner suggested some visits off the typical tourist paths, which turned out to be truly interesting experiences. The children were welcomed with great kindness and respect, and they fondly remember the cats on the property, especially Simone, who will always have a place in their hearts. The property is in a strategic location: very close to both the airport and the port from where excursions to the Daymaniyat Islands depart, and just a short walk from the sea, with a wide and almost deserted beach. The covered parking reserved for guests is also extremely convenient. A stay we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for genuine hospitality, comfort, and a family-friendly environment.

Belly’s Boutique guesthouse est un lieu de rêve dans la chaleur de Mascate. Le lieu est bien placé à côté de la plage. L’accueil est extrêmement chaleureux. Le propriétaire est aux petits soins, disponible, prêt à donner des conseils de voyage ou à rendre service. Les personnes qui s’occupent de l’accueil, de la nourriture et des chambres sont sympathiques et à disposition. Le petit déjeuner est un régal . On ne émeut que vivement recommander cette guesthouse qui mérite les excellents commentaires que l’on peut lire sur ce site.

Keep in mind when reading this review that we were in Oman in late May when the heat is intense ("the hottest month" according to Ruth, the Behlys owner's wife) so there are no tourists to speak of. That means we (my brother and his wife and me) were the only people in the hotel, the owner was away. The "hotel" (more like staying at somebody's house) was the owners' family home until recently when they split the modern, white building into three. The central section remains the family home and to the right and left are the guest sections. So although Ruth is not usually involved in the hospitality business we felt as though we were staying in her home and had some lovely chats with her. She also very kindly came to pick me up at the airport at almost midnight and would have picked my brother up at 4 a.m. if he'd asked. My brother had a room with two double-beds in it and it still remains very spacious. There is a lovely balcony with a view onto the pool. My room was next-door but to the side of the house with no balcony and a view onto neighbouring houses. The bed is very comfortable and despite the noisy air-conditioning I slept very well. The bathroom is very small but serves its purpose. I used the hand-held shower rather than the overhead shower which shot water in every direction except down (a problem I mentioned to Francisca, the Filipina hotel manageress). Soap and shampoo is provided. In May there is no cold water (and that's general, not specific to this hotel) as it usually comes from storage tanks on the roof where it gets heated by the sun. Ruth suggested that we'd get colder water from the hot water tank! There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool but in May it's far too hot to want to lounge anywhere but in the shade or indoors! The water in the pool must have been at around 32°C or more, so not refreshing in the least. But the advantage is the beach is a 5 minute walk away and the sea is cooler, according to Ruth. We didn't try. As others have said the hotel is a long way from the city centre and in May you don't want to walk anywhere more than a few minutes. But the O-Taxi system is extremely efficient and cheap so we used them to get to restaurants etc. If you check the hotel's location on a map you might be concerned that it appears to be at the end of the airport runway. But in fact the flight paths are now over the sea so aircraft noise is not noticeable.

Un po’ fuori dal centro, verso la zona aeroporto ma facilmente raggiungibile. Si tratta di una villetta con piacevolissima piscina, situata in una tranquilla zona residenziale. Bella camera, molto pulita e dotata di ogni confort. Colazione con tutto quello che si può desiderare e soprattutto con dei bellissimi tavoli a bordo piscina. Staff davvero super gentile e possibilità di parcheggio privato. Un’ottima soluzione per il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Une adresse vraiment de charme particulièrement plaisante pour séjourner séjourner à Mascate. Il est très facile ensuite d'utiliser un taxi pas cher en passant par l'application Taxi. Les chambres sont jolies et disposées autour de la piscine. Très bon petit déjeuner et équipe particulièrement sympa. Vraiment adorable. Le patron est un hôte remarquable qui donne d'excellents conseils. A recommander sans aucune hésitation pour séjourner à Mascate dans une catégorie qui ne semble guère fréquente.

Une magnifique découverte ! Nous étions à la recherche d'un hotel près de l'aéroport et nous avons choisi cet hotel pour sa proximité et sa piscine. Nous avons été ravis de ce choix, au delà de nos espérances. L'hotel est une grande maison d'hôte, on s'y sent comme chez soi dans une très belle villa. La chambre était grande, il y a un grand salon avec plein de livres, la piscine est grande et très agréable. La localisation est vraiment parfaite : 15 mn de l'aéroport, 20/30 minutes du centre de Mascate si l on veut faire quelques visites et les taxis par appli sont très bon marché. Et surtout la plage à 3 mn de l'hotel est magnifique, on s'y promène au soleil couchant, il y a de délicieux food truck pour diner ( brochettes, burger ...) . Je recommande chaudement cet hôtel ! Rahim sera aux petits soins pour vous comme pour nous. Un grand merci pour son acceuil !
